I’ve been waiting 20 years to come back to Magnolia Cafe—I made a request for a menu item I remembered that isn’t in the menu anymore. Our server, Brian, made it happen, and it was phenomenal. 😂😍 It was called a Neptunian Landscape. Everything was so delicious, just like I remembered. We had to wait a bit for a table, but our food came out fast! I loved every minute—thank for making my day better and for the nostalgia too. I really appreciate that. Highly recommend!

Magnolia Cafe was awesome! Great atmosphere, delicious food, and good service! The restaurant is located in a unique area where if there is a wait you can walk next door to other interesting Austin-like shops. I would definitely come back if I'm in the area. Fantastic job, y'all! I would recommend this place to my friends and family.

You owe it to yourself to visit this place. The food (breakfast) is delicious and flavorful. I had "The Chicken and the Egg" breakfast and the balancing of flavor between the slightly sweetened corn pancake with diced jalapenos was mind blowingly good! The restaurant is a diner, so don't expect a couture aesthetic; however, it does have a well-seasoned character; which is substantiated by how long the restaurant has been here. Around 43 years. Parking might be a bit difficult, because how crowded the restaurant can't get. Again, please visit this restaurant at least once in Austin. Everything is delicious!

Wonderful service at this location! Was not a fan of the pancakes (had a sourdough flavor, definitely not buttermilk), which was disappointing since I was so excited to eat them after smelling syrup as I entered the restaurant. I did, however, enjoy the home fries (roasted potatoes), eggs, and bacon. They also had a number of other options. I’d still recommend checking them out!

Fast service and a very popular busy spot, it’s a good idea to go online and get on the wait list. Our hostess seemed like he hated his job but our waitress made up for it with her amazing service. She was fast and efficient and the food was so good. I had the French toast and it was the best FT I’ve had in a while. Other members at my table ordered omelets and pancakes and all was good.

We stopped here for breakfast on a Wednesday morning. We must have timed it well because there wasn’t a wait and the reviews we read said it was usually busy. Amanda was great! Our food came out hot and quick. We had pancakes, scrambled eggs, bacon, cold brew coffee, and fresh squeezed lemonade. Everything was good! Cute little spot if you’re in town and want to grab a quick bite.

Great location and comforting breakfast food. The Ernest Benedict was a satisfying Mexi-flavor feel on the eggs Benedict. I’d say the food was a 4.3 in flavor and creativity but the friendly staff and price upped it to a 5.

Amazing food with lot of options for vegetarian. They patio seating as well. Different options for food from Mexican, Omelette, Sandwich and more. This is place is always crowded on weekend during brunch hours so be prepared to wait for 1 hour but the location is good so put your name in queue and go for walk on South Congress

Our favorite food place during our trip to Austin! Everything we ordered was hot, fresh, & tasted so good. The strawberry n pecan pancake hit the spot. The mud queso and salsa was bomb, the chicken stir fry was yummy! Oh and John was a wonderful server. We would definitely stop by again if we’re in the area :)

I'm visiting from out of town and asked for other restaurants to check out and a few different TMs came by and gave me suggestions. Lovely people that work here. Everyone was so kind and friendly. My server and a was amazing! Very attentive and kind. The crossaint sandwich was delicious!

This place is popular! We've sashayed through the parking lot several times only to see a small army of people waiting to get in and pulled away to go somewhere less crowded. Finally had a little extra time to wait and got in there to check this place out. It's not bad necessarily, but I'm not sure it's worth that sorta wait. My guess is that it's one of those spots that is living off its reputation. Granted, the food is decent, but nothing earth shattering. Our group had burgers, potatoes, chips & salsa, and the Love Migas omelette. If I was in the area and there wasn't a line, sure. The ambience is worth that, otherwise I'll leave it to the folks that are willing to wait. :) Service was great and the food was fairly quick.

It was nice taste of the”old Austin “ feel. Chips and salsa were great- mainly the queso is great! The food is fantastic! I had the Turkey sandwich on rye, with avocado which was delicious… I do miss the fries though… 😒 but it was still delicious! 😋 that sandwich was amazing!

A super cute and fun diner, especially how they start off by saying Sorry, We're Open! The service was really friendly and helpful and super quick as well, the appetizers were really really good and their sandwiches were amazing! Great food and awesome vibes!

Great service. Good food. It took a while to order (restaurant was close to empty) but after ordering, 7 dishes came out speedily indeed! Darling decor. My only sorrow was that I wanted to buy a flamingo T shirt for my friend. I was told the store next door had them, but no-one explained that they closed at 6:00 p.m. 😭😭

This little diner in the heart of Austin, right on Congress avenue is an eclectic taste of Texas hospitality. The way was short and the online booking was easy to use. Inside, being greeted by dinosaurs on a canvas and graffiti were a welcome like none other. The online menu is easy to use, however I was like holding the real thing in my hand. The lunch special was a collaboration between this place and the meat market, hansen's, just down the street. The Omelette, cheese, and bratwurst inside we're all amazing. The breakfast pancake was the size of my face and delicious. The coffee was better than several of the more expensive and loftier brews promoted at classier joints. The endless cup was perfect.

Comfort food to the fullest! The plates are HUGE and the service was great as well. We had lots of food to take home and still left with our bellies full. Be sure to try the queso with beef. Absolutely delicious

This was our first time here & we absolutely loved every part of it. We were on a wait list of 37 ahead of us, but had plenty of things to explore around it to pass the time!! Our server, John Mark, made the experience a true joy! He was extremely funny, helpful, & amazing at his job! Food was delicious 😋

This place was packed when we got there so we put our name on the list and walked across the street and have a cup of coffee until they were ready for us. There were 31 parties in front of us and we waited for about 40 minutes. Well worth the wait. John Marc was our waiter and did an excellent job. He made sure our drinks for fall and checked on us plenty. We started our brunch with the artichoke dip and queso with beans. The artichoke dip was super creamy and had lots of flavor the quesi was also good. We all had something different from the menu. The breakfast tacos were definitely what I was looking for to feel my belly. My wife and our friends will definitely be back!

The breakfasts were delicious and the portions were very satisfying. I could only find this place in Austin with an American diner atmosphere. I think the prices are reasonable compared to Austin. The only thing I didn't like was that they came too many times to refill our coffee. 🙃

Incredible food and incredible service as well. Even though the restaurant was super busy, the service was still very very good. John Mark is a great waiter! The food is also out of this world. We got the Magnolia omelette and the jalapeno popper cornmeal pancake. They were both AWESOME.

The food had great flavor and was extremely filling. Gingerbread pancakes with pecans and bananas are to die for. Wait staff was friendly and attentive also. I'll be back if I visit Austin again!

Always a wait on the weekends, but it’s worth it. Such a great brunch spot 😋 👌. The benedicta and omelets never miss. They also have excellent oatmeal, breakfast sandwiches, and pie! Don't forget to check the board for daily specials, they may not all be on the menu. Service is always on point.
