They don’t need another 5 star review but boy do they deserve it! Great selection, presentation and flavor. Service was wonderful of course. Didn’t have a reservation but we were accommodated. The place gets busy and everyone comes in looking sharp so keep it classy. We had the ceviche, shrimp toast, clams, and a lobster roll🤤 all delicious!!

Poor customer service, dangerous seating conditions and food quality/flavor well below expectations when reputation and cost considered. Ordered burgers and fried and an oyster dish, portions and flavor compared with other area restaurants in the area were well below similar food choices. Burger tasted unseasoned and was the size of a child’s portion. Dish was nearly 80% full of string French Fries. Oysters dish flavor was good but dish was 5 oysters for almost $25. I would expect at minimum half a dozen if not 8 for this price. Seats were on the edge of the public side walk on cobblestone bricks that were not secured. Two of our party members could not get into or out of their seats without assistance and both almost tipped in their chairs repeatedly when just shifting weight in their seats. Staff was fine but repeatedly brought large trash containers directly beside ours and several other tables during prime dinner hours, while we were eating which really is inconsiderate and off putting during a meal.

Good little place - call ahead for reservations if you are coming during peak hours. The oysters are super fresh - some of the best I've tasted. Crudo plate also very fresh as well as the bread. I had the Lobster roll - very tasty. It was a nice day when we were there so we ate outside. Everyone enjoyed their food. Jessica was our server and she did a great job.

I’ve been a Clark’s customer for ten years now. For our wedding anniversary, to our birthdays every year, we come to Clark’s. We come so much the waitresses know my wife and her orders. The service is always fantastic, the food is always top notch and the drinks are wickedly good. Our favorites are the snapper ceviche (with finger lime!), the lobster roll, the fries, the crispy snapper and the mussels. The oysters at Clark’s are the best in town. Not cheap, but a great variety of East coast oysters that are always delicious and brined and small. Pro Tip: If Clark’s is booked full, try Perla’s. They have the same owner and same seafood supplier and even some of the same dishes! We would recommend Clark’s to friends and family. And we will always return, we love our Clark’s!

We live Clark's Oyster Bar in Austin! The ceviche we had was absolutely awesome, along with the fresh cold water oysters! Can't wait until our next visit to this lovely city so we can come back!

This was our first time at Clark's and fourth MML hospitality restaurant. It is probably one of my favorites! We started with the oyster plate and tried one of each type. My first time trying oysters went incredibly well, they were all delicious and seasoned to perfection. Each type was slightly different with flavors and locales but they were all well worth it. The servers are all incredibly knowledgeable about the food and the drinks as well and make a great dining experience. The Clark's Burger was the best burger I have had in my entire life. It was beyond anything I had eaten before and I would recommend it every day of the week. It is worth coming here solely for the burger, let alone the ambiance and the delicious wine pairings. I will be back and I would recommend Clark's to anyone looking for a nice linch or dinner.

Update: pro tip sit at the inside bar facing the kitchen. I went back for a late lunch and had the most spectacular view, food, and time. The ambiance hits way more inside (even if outside is where to “be seen”.) Javier was leading the kitchen while I ate and even spoke directly with me to address a food allergy question. I got to watch the seamless transition to the Chef, when he arrived and caught this cool cooking sequence where you can see the full prep of the grilled octopus! This is dinner and a show. Excellent service. Cute atmosphere. Very noisy location outside. I loved my waitress - she is what made me feel that I was getting an upscale experience (other than the price). I had the lobster roll (hold the bread). It was very tasty. Also - the lobster was cooked perfectly! There was a decent amount of lobster (which is not guaranteed) and it felt like they really picked out the meat fresh (vs bought prepicked lobster meat frozen). The slaw was… there? I feel like the slaw was a missed opportunity. Great people at the outside bar went a long way to making the experience an amazing one. Parking is terrible. But. This is Austin - so it is more news when there is good parking, I guess. Lol.

Over a dozen selection of oysters to chose from. Sat by the window bar table and while comfortable, there were a lot of huge flies nestle around the window and table which wasn’t enjoyable at all. Server did bring over a fly chaser gadget later to help. Food came slow and server missed an order so did a lot of waiting. Overall would’ve given a 4 or 5 stars if wasn’t for the issues above.

What a great place to clap off your night after a long day at the convention center. The environment was live, great, positive energy, great place to net work with other colleagues, the bartender was awesome, our waiter was on point, but who takes the trophy was the hostess as she was sitting people, cleaning the tables, taking orders, all around just being helpful. She was so awesome! Hats of to you!

Great seafood spot with a fun atmosphere. They have a really cool oyster bar area that’s always packed and a wonderful patio. The oyster selection is top notch and the salads and hot menu items are great too.

I feel like I can’t give this a FAIR assessment because I don’t eat oysters but I will give my best assessment based on what we had. We went on a Friday afternoon around 3:30 and our wait was about 45 minutes. I would recommend making a reservation at least 4-5 days in advance for any days close to or on the weekend. We went during happy hour and were seated just in time. To be honest…. The happy hour is not that great. It is $3 off martinis, but not cocktails (and espresso martinis do not fall under the martini category). The cocktails are insane but pretty good. As for happy hour though they do half off burgers making them $11 so that’s not bad. And it was a pretty good burger. Standard. Basic. The fries are shoestring fries so they’re a little tough to eat but still pretty good. We also got the crab mac and cheese and it was good but not super duper flavorful. Overall it’s a nice atmosphere and cute spot. I would certainly recommend trying it out.

Was visiting Austin, and happen to come here for my first meal off the plane. It was so good I came back twice during my trip! Freash, delicious, friendly, and an amazing vibe. Alsp surprisingly, it was not crazy expensive for how good the quality of food is! Also, the bartender, and both waiters were so nice and friendly!

SO good! One of my favorite MMH restaurants. Always ask for the free bread if they don’t bring it to you. Amazing happy hour. And the brunch menu is my very favorite! Love Clark’s always

Good Oyster selection with good food and great service. I would like this place more if it were not so tight and small. I am not keen on being sandwiched between two tables only a foot apart and having to speak above other people's conversation. Their outdoor patio would be great in the Spring or Fall.

Tried every type of oyster they had. All the great things you hear about this place are 100% true. Only downside is that it can be impossible to get a reservation if you not two weeks out. Grabbed a nice spot at the bar with a friend on pure luck. A place you MUST go if you are a seafood “foodie”

Absolutely awesome place! I happened to book an Airbnb right next to it and this place is totally worth coming back over and over again. The kitchen runs in a really smooth way and u will get the dishes efficiently but with no compromise in quality. The service is outstanding, no one bothers u while u eat, they just let u enjoy the food and quietly add water to your glass lol. Great atmosphere, worth every penny.

Clark’s is a trendy restaurant and I believe there are several locations. I liked the scene and atmosphere. I had a cocktail and ordered clam chowder and a crab cake. Both were excellent. I was in Austin for business and ate at Clark’s by myself. I can see how much fun it would be to go with a group and share some starters, have drinks, and make an evening of it. Will go there when I’m back in Austin. It is pricey but an indulgence.

This place is great! We sat at the bar and we’re waiting on by Kathleen and a taller brunette male. They were awesome and recommended some delicious oysters! Best lobster roll I’ve ever had at this place and their burger was out of this world as well. Drinks were 10/10!

Always crowded according to my wife, and non-existent parking unless you nail one of like 6 spots or so up front, but I wanted to try Clarks so here we are. We hit HappyHour and the martinis were priced well, as was the burger, but 50 cents off oysters was kind of funny. The oysters were fabulous, and we ordered the Rosemary fries that were both unique and enjoyable. I love the vibe and atmosphere here--bright and festive with lots of light inside and seating outside--though in the 100+ weather, no thanks to the small front patio. Service kind of lost us seated up against the window in the bar area, but it was a nice nook to eat at despite slow service. I really want to give 5 stars--food and vibe deserve it--but the slow service and parking issues for my 1 visit has me at 4. I'll up it to 5 my next visit if service was a fluke--there are certainly more items on the menu to try that I already have my eye on.

First time at Clark's. Was really happy to spend lunch on the porch with beautiful Austin weather. The vibe was relaxed and very cool. Service was great. Obviously they have a great team mentality. Prices were reflective of the value you get. Maybe I just ordered the wrong thing but the Tuna Sandwich was dry and tasteless. The slaw was tasteless, is their slaw just shredded cabbage? My dish kind of ruined the experience to be very frank. I couldn't eat even half. I will return for sure, maybe after I get some guidance on what to order next time. Go! Have a great time, but maybe order something other than the tuna sandwich.

Clark’s is an iconic part of Austin cuisine. This visit wasn’t my first and it won’t be my last. The oysters were high quality, my date’s burger was great (I could not stop stealing the mountain of fries), the service was top notch and the cocktails and mocktails were delicious. I look forward to the next visit to this intimate restaurant in this beautiful and historic part of sixth street.

Great experience and service. The food was all fresh and the martinis were excellent. I also loved the oyster selection, great array of options all with delicious flavor profiles.
