Don't just come by to get a picture of the wall, the coffee and snacks are worth the trip too. Lots of veggie-friendly breakfast options, delightful seasonal coffee drinks, and a dog-friendly patio make this place a must-visit when you're in the area. Try the Sweater Weather when it's in season!

I'll make this quick and simple as we all gotta see what this place is about 🤙 Parking can be a challenge. ❗ Carpool if you can ✅ Pet friendly ✅ Treats on the counter, left side ✅ Good coffee ✅ My wife and I liked their hotdog. ✅ Outdoor seating ✅ That's my wife in the picture, not part of the menu. ❌ Feel free to follow if you need short but accurate reviews 😎

Jo’s Place is where the iconic “I love you so much” mural is. I got the Laura Palmer, which was very refreshing on a hot day - kinda just tasted like watered down lemonade and was not a strong hibiscus taste though. The matcha palmer was a good mix of matcha and sweetness from the lemonade and pear juice - definitely unique, but this was on their seasonal menu. The iced turbo was chocolatey and creamy - I see why this is a best seller! Get a large size because the small is just all ice. If on South Congress, I’d stop here again but I wouldn’t go out of my way to come here.

Great stop for a good drink to carry around while shopping up and down Congress. The hot cocoa, grinch matcha drink and the roasted marshmallow latte were all good and not to hot and scalding on your first drink. Great vibe here.

The coffee was good, but I kind of felt rushed through the experience. This seems like the sort of place where regular customers know the process and they sail through the experience just fine, but a first-time, out-of-towner like myself got the "hurry up and order something" vibe. Nobody was rude but I definitely got hustled along. Look at the menu online and decide before you go and you'll be fine. My daughter got a breakfast taco and she said it was only OK.

My favorite coffee in all of Austin. No matter what I get, it is always smooth and delicious plus the ice is to die for. This time I ordered the honey nut latte which was espresso, milk, hazelnut & honey. One of the best I’ve had yet.

Super cute coffee/breakfast spot! The breakfast tacos are great, but they run out so go early (they start serving em at 8am). Parking isn’t bad if you just go off the main road onto a side street. The bomber coffee was indeed BOMB. Nice outdoor seating and overall peaceful/cheerful vibes!

A must try. The "Iced Turbo" is so good and refreshing. "The Belgian" is a nice upgrade if someone likes even more coffee. I definitely recommend this place. Don't forget the "I love You" mural next to it!

Obsessed with the iced turbo! We stop here every time we are in Austin, even if we have to go out of our way. Breakfast tacos are always hot and delicious. The patio is a great place to relax and people watch as you start your day. The line moves super quick - so don't be deterred by the popularity!

We were told by our Austin native Uber driver that Jo’s Iced Turbo is a must try. After reading the description, I opted for the Belgian which was more coffee since the Iced Turbo sounded super sweet. I personally thought the Belgian was still pretty sweet. If you’ve had an iced cap from Tim Hortons, that’s what it tasted like to me. Nothing special but had to give it a try since I was in Austin! Seating - outdoor seating with fans

The iced turbo is such treat on a nice warm summer day. The Sinner’s Brunch ( Live Jazz) is every Sunday from 11:30-3PM. People watching at its finest on South Congress! Insurance stop and have a nice coffee and take a picture at the “ I love you so much “ mural today.

Coffee was very great but didn’t like they make you pay for a can of nasty water. Parking situation isn’t ideal as is the rest of the city but their coffee was worth the hassle. Very nice atmosphere and a nice hang out spot

Love this place. Best Tryffle avocado toast. A little crowded with people studying in here. Might be hard to find a seat. Coffee is nice and strong. Good customer service. The inside is cute. Definitely a must go to if you're in the area.

The guy at the counter was polite, but they didn't have sandwiches or other food. He stated that they were all sold out of food for the day. Maybe cover up the food menu if you don't have any food. Its not cool to stand in line for 20 minutes only to find out there not much available. The outside area is real chill i like that. I will give them one more try the next time I visit Austin

This coffee shop is a good stop while doing shopping on south congress. Plenty of iced and hot drinks, outdoor seating area in an unique looking building. Try out Jo’s Iced Turbo coffee!

Five starts for the Ice Coffee Turbo !! Best Ice coffee I had, good mix of flavors. I thought it was gonna be too sweet for me, but I was wrong, A must stop if you see a Jo’s in Austin, I even had my last one at the airport. The little breakfast tacos are good, but nothing impressive. Cute size. If you ever go there, don’t miss the Turbo!

Iced turbo was FANTASTIC! And if you get here early enough then the tacos are soooo good! It was pretty easy to find parking on a Monday morning.

  • 2/5 S L. 1 year ago on Google
Iced turbo is good if you like more chocolate flavor in drinks (didn’t taste any coffee/espresso). Iced matcha latte was disappointingly weak/bland and I wouldn’t recommend to get it there. Friendly staff though!

Quick, easy, quality coffee all around Austin! Went to the one on South Congress every morning while we were visiting from Seattle. The breakfast tacos are good too, but I would recommend going to Veracruz or something else nearby.

Popped over to grab an iced coffee for a hot day. I had one of the seasonal drinks, a strawberry latte, which was perfectly sweetened (not too sweet) and perfectly iced. Service was prompt and friendly. The iced latte was exactly what I needed. I personally take my coffee strong so might opt for an extra shot of espresso next time!

A great spot for hot or cold coffee any time of day. This location is awesome and is next to a ton of cool and amazing places to walk through. The coffee is great, and prices are fair. I had the Turbo and it was delicious! I'd definitely recommend trying this out if you're in the area!

If you want the taste of autum, I would recommend getting the Horchata Chai with a pump of Pumpkin. This is a nice little coffee shop. If you are in South Congress I would def recommend you swing by.

  • 5/5 Bria D. 4 months ago on Google
Served the coffee in a cup with no sleeve. My immediate thoughts was: THIS CUP NEEDS A SLEEVE. After grabbing the cup, I realized that I've been drinking my hot coffee at the wrong temperature for like my whole entire life. YOU DON'T NEED A SLEEVE WHEN THE COFFEE IS AT A NORMAL TEMP. Thanks for the life lesson Jo. I'm going sleeveless from here on out. Also the tacos were fine. But are you really coming here for tacos?

This is an awesome little coffee shop. Coffee was delicious, service was fast and everyone was very friendly. This place is going to be a new regular stop for me from now on.

Cute location, nice dinner-ish vibes inside. I had the mystery $4 coffee which was delicious. Super disappointed about the food though. I ordered the Vegan burger that was $16. The menu said it came with two beyond patties, so the price made sense. Instead it came with one patty, definitely not Beyond but rather a cheap Boca type. I asked the server and they said the menu had changed. The bun was gross, overall a $8 burger at best. Will go back for coffee but not good.

The coffee was nice, and it’s great value for money! I wouldn’t say the best is the best, but for the location and the atmosphere, it’s right up there. I was recommended the cold coffees. Pretty good.

If you are landed here while searching for "I LOVE YOU" mural, then you are at the right place. Known this coffee place for years and its one of the famous coffee shops in Austin both for the mural & its coffee. Unfortunately they don't have a dedicated parking lot and you need to park on either sides of South Congress amd take a stroll. The mural is painted at the side of the shop. They also have an outside coffee bar with attached restroom.#HappyCafe

Good coffee and snacks. Limited sugar-free and gluten-free options. A nice sit-down area. Everything is outdoors which made it a little more covid safe with having room to move around. Cute mural on the side as well. Great photo opportunity

South Congress location- I was given the incorrect drink although the order was placed correctly. The cashier was laughing with the previous customer but when I returned the drink along with the receipt he stared at and said nothing to me. He turned around and started making the correct order. The cashier had an extremely poor attitude. Not one time did he apologize for giving me the incorrect drink. As he turned the order over to the server to finish preparing it he make a joke. The server didn't laugh but finished preparing the drink. After I received the correct drink, I headed to my car. Feeling very uncomfortable with the situation, I went back to the counter and asked to speak with a manager. The server who corrected my order said the manager did not visit the store. I shared my experience with him and he said little to nothing about my poor experience there. I am extremely disappointed in the poor service received from both the cashier and the server. If I could have given this place a 0 I would have.

Chill sidewalk coffee shop. Great cold brew and the Belgian bomber is delicious. Like an iced mocha x1000

Great coffee - the iced turbo is too sweet for me (I prefer less sweet things in general) but tastes amazing otherwise. Went for the Belgian Bomber and they were kind enough to accommodate my half-caff request. Blueb muffin had good texture.

Great coffee shop. worth the trip out even just for a picture beside the mural- I love you so much. My picture is from their patio which is great and has propane heaters for the cold days.

Stopped by in the afternoon for an Iced Turbo. Absolutely delicious coffee, and I can understand why they hype it up so much. The line here was massive, but given the location you more or less expect as much. Just expect to navigate the tourists congregated at the mural nearby.
