The Omelettry in Austin is a charming breakfast and brunch spot with eclectic decor and a surprisingly short wait, even on busy weekends. I recently visited with my husband while we were visiting from Dallas and we were both impressed with the food and service. Once we placed our order, we only waited about 15 minutes before our food was brought out. I started with a full stack of gluten-free blueberry pancakes and sausage. The pancakes were light and fluffy, and the blueberries were fresh and tart. The sausage was flavorful and cooked to perfection. I loved that I could enjoy a hearty breakfast without having to worry about gluten. My husband ordered one of the cheese omelets that came with a short stack of pancakes and bacon. He said that the omelet was good, but he wished he had added some meat. He also commented that the portion size was a bit small and the cheese tasted like melted processed cheese. Overall, we had a positive experience at The Omelettry. The food was good, the service was friendly, and the atmosphere was eclectic and fun. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a delicious and affordable breakfast or brunch. Would I return? Absolutely! Hopefully we will be back in town soon!

This is the place to go for great breakfast. It has been one of my favorite for many years and makes me happy every time I eat here. Omelettes and pancakes were delicious. Service was excellent and the place definitely has an Austin vibe.

Hands down the BEST Breakfast place in Austin! From the food, to the atmosphere and customer service. 10/10 experience. Definitely come early or wait, totally worth it! I love how the owner takes initiative and helps out when busy. Definitely will be coming back once i’m back in town.

There was a long wait before being seated. A homelike atmosphere with good service. Upon ordering food, it didn’t take long before our food was served to us. The food was a little above average in taste, but the portion sizes are worth the money. Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day but The Omelettry didn’t make the cut for my top 5 breakfast spots. However, you might think different. Give them a try

I was most impressed with my visit to The Omelettry. This was my very first visit to the restaurant DURING my very first visit to the city of Austin. This was a great way to kickoff my visit to Austin. Food was delicious, staff was friendly. I was especially impressed with my pancakes. Everything IS bigger in Texas..... Staff kept my bottomless coffee full, kept my water full. I will most definitely visit this restaurant again! thank you so very much to The Omelettry, I'm now a fan for life!

Stoped in for Sunday pancakes. Wife got gluten free with blueberries and I got an omelette with cheese and jalapeños. My omelette can with a short stack of buttermilk pancakes. The wife said her pancakes were delicious. She asked for extra butter and they dripping with butter. She commented that a full stack was way to much. My omelette was a cheese omelette covered with chili con queso. While the queso was better than velvetta, I couldn't find a single jalapeño. I added hot sauce and a side of bacon and that dressed it up nicely. The short stack of buttermilk pancakes were great. Over all this is a fun little place but you may be in for a wait as the place is small. Well worth the wait.

Customer service was great! Food was good and well priced. I would just like more flavor, perhaps homemade salsa to go with omelets?

Pretty good food. The omelets are great with very fresh ingredients, got the ham and cheese. The cheese was very good cheddar and I added the Louisiana hot sauce to the omelet. That was freaking awesome!! Its good without bit brought to another level. Thanks for the recommendation. The pancakes were good but the pancake dough is a little to sweet for me, but not bad. The service was very friendly and helpful.

My husband and I ate here this morning. The hostess was very welcoming when we arrived. She seated us promptly, asked for our drink order, brought it to the table and said a server would stop by shortly to take our food order. We waited for over 20 minutes and no one came. Only when I got up and told the hostess, a server came to our table to take our order. We did not like the server's attitude, the lady acted like she was doing us a favor instead of providing a service. We got our food and no one ever came to check if we liked it or if we needed anything else. After we were almost done with our meal, the server dropped the check on our table without saying a word. Food is ok. My husband ordered the Burnet Road Benedict and I ordered Huevos Rancheros. We also ordered one Whole Wheat Pecan Pancake to share. My husband liked his meal but I did not like mine. The salsa on the Huevos Rancheros tasted like it came straight out of a can and the same with the black beans, no flavor whatsoever. The pancake was just ok, but nothing to brag about it.

Typical brunch place. The food was good. There was a bit of a wait since we went on a Sunday afternoon but not too bad. We had the chili con queso, chicken enchiladas and Burnet road Benedict.

These must be the best pancakes in Austin. Wouldn’t be surprised if they had crack in them they are so insane. I recommend the buttermilk pancakes. I love adding pecans to it. You’ll find their sandwiches to be very fresh and the omelets of course are fluffy and full of flavor. Nothing bad here. Orange juice is tart and the coffee is strong.

The inside of this place is very cute. It’s not your average. Feels very comfortable and family atmosphere. Their shirts are cute. Food looks delicious however Taste I was not a fan of I like a well marinated salsa. I’m Hispanic so taste expections are a little high when it comes to salsa’. The tomatoes on my omelette tasted canned. I use tomatoes fresh on everything I make personally so I’m 99% sure it was canned. The food did do the job of filling myself up and husband. The food did come with 2 very well sized pancakes. We ate before we hit the water for a few hours. I recommend place and to go early because it did get packed when we left.

Delightful place with lots of vegetarian options. It's packed with people as early as 8AM, and that tells you how famous and good this place really is. We tried the spanish and vegetarian omelets, and they were both 5/5. The drip coffee is bottomless, and their fruit bowls are super fresh. They have ample seating adorned by all mannerism of paraphernalia. The place is cozy, the food is fantastic and the service is quick and courteous.

Fun place for breakfast, but the hot cakes were mixed too long (no lumps in the batter make them flatter). They were great tasting. Loved the huevos rancheros. Not homemade tortillas, as far as I could tell, but served soft and warm. Great black beans and the breakfast potatoes were nice and crispy. The green sauce was spicy, the red was chunky and flavorful. Brother loved his veggie omelet and nephews loved their chocolate chip pancakes. Menu items were good value.

We came here during a weekend breakfast. The wait time was short. The decor was unique-Dr Seuss themed wall, Aprons hanging by the windows... As for the food: I had the eggs Benedict with black beans. I loved It. Their pancakes were great! Everyone else's food was great too. The wait staff was friendly and helpful. I also enjoyed their coffee.

This was probably my fourth time here and the food never disappoints. Just be wary of the morning weekend rush. My friend and I decided to just sit at the counter after waiting for 20 minutes and still a lot of people ahead of us so I would suggest that if you don't feel like waiting for a table or booth. Lots of options for vegetarians so I will need to keep coming back to try out all the selections they offer.

So far so good! Omelettes are a bit different here. Instead of mixing eggs with ingredients, they stuff the egg. Almost like an egg taco. Still wasn't too bad, I enjoyed the House Special omelette. All omelettes come with a short stack pancake which was a nice indulgence! Expect a bit of a wait, this place seems to get pretty packed. Earlier the better! Plenty of parking.

This place is so amazing! From the aesthetic, to the food, cleanliness, and the hospitality. I came here with my family to try something new from the moment we walked in I knew we would enjoy the experience. We sat down and looked over the menu and the hostess was even kind enough to let me sample the Horchata (which was amazing by the way perfectly balanced) looked over the menu and ordered. Food came out in a timely manner and the presentation was visually pleasing. While the home fries were a bit big the food was flavorful, and fresh. The service was nice, fast and friendly. Our server was even kind enough to help my indecisive grandmother pick a menu item that she ended up really enjoying. Even the bathrooms were freshly cleaned and smelled good. Overall I would give this place a 9.8 out of 10!

Small breakfast spot with eclectic decor & fast service. . Decided to stop in for some breakfast here. Being a Sunday, I expected a wait but was seated right away. Little odd that you have to sign in and be their hostess. Booth was comfortable and clean. Variety of options so everyone is bound to find something. Once ordered, food came quickly. Didn't care for the microwave bacon & the Jimmy John's frozen sausage links, but pancakes were good. . Overall, if in the area, might stop by but wouldn't go out of my way for mainly microwaved food.

My brother, niece, and I had a very pleasant experience here. Home fries were great. The Popeye omelet was very good. Good coffee too. Would've preferred some heavier options... but the meals we had were very good. Only issue I have is we had four different servers. Didn't know which one was ours. It was a long wait, but I will say it was worth it. I would come here again. Limited hours. From what I saw... they close at 3pm.

Very classic American diner! It looks exactly like all the movies we have seen! Great options with all day breakfast that were super cheap. We got the classic pancakes with sunny side up eggs & bacon and a very delicious chicken sandwich. Worth a visit even though is a bit far from the center of Austin.

The taste was actually great, but a few servers got upset by my family as they asked for a lot of stuff. You might as well get your table needs altogether before requesting, as my family was quite indecisive. A great meal overall, but more quick-paced place due to they always being full so that's understandable. Thanks!

The Omelettry is a pretty nice place to get the feel of a local diner. It's situated in a small shopping complex very close to I35. Food wise it was pretty okay, we started off with the a cup of homemade potato leek soup, it's very light on the palette. The size of the cup is small so if you sharing order the bowl. For main course we got the Popeye omelette, which is pretty huge. It tasted fresh, the eggs themselves felt a little under seasoned though. We also got the baked potatoes stuffed with mushroom and onions. It is basically a huge potato, baked and then filled with sauted veggies and some sauce on top. I did not become a fan of it and left most of it on the plate. We finished off with a Gingerbread pancake which we really liked.
