Super fun spot for coffee and food during the day. Bathroom is hilarious. Good place for punk shows at night.

Great cafe with quiet mornings and festive evenings. Their coffee is just strong enough and a little acidic. I met the owner and his sister (hi Thomas and Joy) and they were very friendly. I appreciate the seating space and the abundance of soft seats. I will come back for their breakfast tacos and monstrous cookies!

Coffee was excellent and pretzel was good. Had actually wanted to try the food as well, but only 1 person was working at the time I went, so wasn't able to. Will have to go back to try food.

Stopped in to this local joint because I don’t support Starbucks or any chain coffee shops. Was intrigued with the theme. Was pleasantly surprised at the atmosphere when I walked in. Kenzie and Thomas greeted us and welcomed us into this unique coffee spot. Had the Space Force cold brew and a mix of cafe de olla and the dark roast. Absolutely loved the cold brew and hot drip was delicious and smooth. No sugar needed. This place has a stage and bar, with shows on various evenings (music/comedy). Bar is open all day, and serves breakfast and lunch as well. Awesome service and “Kick Butt” atmosphere and vibe. Come out and support your local businesses. I highly recommend this joint.

It's my new coffee place of choice! My office recently moved to the area and I had been looking for an alternative to office coffee. This is definitely it! The staff is friendly, they play BOPS, the vibe is chill and the quesadilla fed me for two days. Can't wait to return in the evening for a drink or to do some work from there! They also seem to have a lot of events going on so I'll need to check them out. Great coffee/drink/hang option in the highland mall area.

It's a nice coffee place that would appeal to a lot of people with certain tastes. It is setup more like a bar with live music and the lighting and decor inside is quite special and hippy. I liked the taste of coffee there, it was amazing. The menu items and the timings were unclear though so we ended up getting coffee and cookies during lunch time on a Saturday. Nice location and the vice is cool, I'm not so sure I would go back but I'll suggest you visit once for sure. You would know if it suits your taste and if you want to come back to visit again.

I love that I can walk right in and tell the barista I need something to survive my work day, and they always deliver. Today it was Elizabeth that saved me from the Monday blues, with the most beautiful and tasty creation! Now I’m ready to get the work load done. Thanks Kick Butt!

Update: I've had a few sandwiches from here and they are good. The toasted focaccica stays cripsy and the flavor is always there. I asked for chips and salsa but i guess they were out so they subbed with a small salad that i just added to the sandwich. I will keep trying different sandwiches. Old review: Not bad would definitely try again. Sandwich is decent size bread was crispy chicken was good

We asked for the secret menu and they said they had cinnamon chai latte so we decided to try that. It was so good! She was helpful and friendly. The place is really nice looking. I got a breakfast taco and it was pretty good also. We will come back to check out the open mic night. Overall great experience.

I went to Kick Butt Coffee during the Altercation Comedy Fest. I had an absolute blast! The food, the staff, the owner, and the bar itself are all amazing! The comedy festival and the music were incredible! I will be returning.

Had the dankest everything breakfast bagel sandwich + cream cheese + avocado. Chef chatted with me to check if it was good and that he added some extra spice to it (can’t remember what tho) Absolutely perfect. Latte was pretty sweet but it’s bc they have the pour tops not the pump tops like other places (just fyi) This place is my go to comfort breakfast place. They’re consistent, absolutely sweeties, and I love the vibe. Check out their night events too!

Really fun atmosphere and even better coffee! Honey lavender latte is a must. Baristas were playing good music, and it wasn’t too crowded and cramped (like most coffee shops) on a weekday morning.

Stopped in for a cup of coffee and to start my work day. The atmosphere was my favorite part. I enjoyed the delicious breakfast sandwich and pecan cold brew. Zero complains. Keep up the good work. I'll see you soon.

Really excellent. Got a mocha frappy (with some toasted marshmallow thing) and a "breakfast club" sandwich for breakfast. It was made-to-order and tasted amazing. The vibe of the place and the friendliness of the staff is awesome. When I was eating, I noticed that many people came in and ordered "the usual", and the staff already knew the people and their usual order. I thought that was cool. Flawless.

First time stopping into Kickbutt Coffee - ordered a hot Carmel mocha with almond milk which was delicious. Was hoping to get some work done however could not connect to the wifi even with the password they shared. Decent food options. ☕️

So, taken with a bell curve rating this is 4 stars for Texas, but since I’m used to the plethora of Really good coffee and food in California where I reside, its a 3 star in my mouth and belly. Average cappuccino, milk was steamed way too hot for proper. average food. Romaine and a oil and vinegar that was oil mostly. Not bad! Just basic is all. That being said, I’d do it again in a pinch. I respect what the owner has done with the multi-purpose venue. Feels like you walked in to a car crash of a bar, coffee shop and open mic and it somehow works for the locals. Busy place. If you’re ocd about clean, don’t look at the floors or the guys hat or hair making the coffee. Not a real fan of the music playing on my visit. But thats like wine or coffee. Everyone has a different taste.

I attend Auguste Escoffier School of Culinary Arts and love that I can swing in and get a great cup of coffee and a snack. The employees are always kind and smiling and quick to recommend a menu item. I love this place and can’t wait to go to some of the events they host! Thanks for being so amazing!

Fantastic little shop. Really awesome coffee and a nice seating area. The customer service was excellent. They were extremely friendly and helpful. The girl working the counter told me about $1 refills. How awesome is that?!?!?

Kind of a funky and neat little place. The coffee wasn’t exceptional but the staff is friendly. Good environment for studying or working. Conveniently located close to campus as well.

I will start by saying that my blueberry muffin was delicious and fresh out of the oven when I got it. My latte was great as well. However, my partner’s iced americano was warm. The place also smelled strongly of gasoline when I came in and it wasn’t exactly the most welcoming atmosphere.

Our favorite coffee/breakfast spot in Austin! Really cool vibes mixing music and martial arts with as good as it gets breakfast food and awesome coffee. Our favorite is their Pecan blend coffee, also the muffins and breakfast tacos. Good place to work on a laptop or meet up with friends too.

This place is the essence of what Austin represents, chill, laid back, cozy, and quirky. They have a good selection of basic cafe food items as well as some awesome breakfast tacos including sausage from Meyers in Elgin. They have an amazing variety of different mocha drinks. They have live music and local artists that play here. they had a lovely couple playing Christmas tunes when I went. I love the atmosphere and the quirkiness of the decorations and the menu items. The only drawback I had was my breakfast taco wasn’t that fresh when I ate it. But other than that it was fine. Overall I love this place and will be back soon.

My husband and I got breakfast tacos and cold brew there, just passing through Austin on the way to Dallas. The vibe was really cool, and the food and coffee was great! This guy with dreads was taking our order, he was very helpful and super cool! Highly recommend!

For a walk-in coffee shop it was way faster than most. Seem to have a large variety and I ordered a 24 oz Americano with sugar-free syrup and topped off with oat milk. First thing I noticed was they don't use pumps on the syrup so there is no way they can consistently make the same drink over and over without measuring. As anyone knows that follows me or sees my reviews knows I'm at a lot of coffee shops and we own one. So of course when I got my drink and made it back to my truck and took my first sip it's too much sugar-free sweetener because it was non-measured amounts. This is the drink that I get made the same at every coffee shop I go to and anytime it's not measured it'll always be wrong. Without measured amounts I would skip this one next time.
