I enjoyed my peaceful evening visit. A waterfall site in nature is peaceful in itself but adding a sunset or sunrise to the scene can make it all the more special. The state park is also ideally located as a last stop before a flight out of Austin due to its proximity to the Austin Airport. I can't say it is the most spectacular waterfall site in the world, or in the regional area for that matter, but it is worth a visit if you find peace in nature.

Great place to unwind and have a picnic or a hike. There’s not enough water flow in October to see the water fall but it’s beautiful nonetheless.

A lot of great views and landscape! The story of McKinney Falls is interesting as well. I enjoy hiking and exploring new nature parks and trails. Good exercise, oxygen and entertainment, definitely did not disappoint and will go again!

What a gem! Great trails, great campsites, great scenery and not to far from downtown. Clean restrooms. Costs $6 a person to get in. It's good to have a reservation, but it's not needed unless you want to camp.

Very quiet and awesome place to get away to camp fish or hike. Can't believe it's so close to downtown. U wouldn't believe it unless u went. Cost me 32 dollars to camp one night with water and electricity. Plenty of shade trees on all sites.

Beautiful for trekking and cycling. The trail is fresh and you can see a deer sometimes. Some historical buildings are present along the way. Suggested to carry a stick and wear shoes to avoid any insect bites.

Visited Upper McKinney Falls on a hot Saturday in June. It wasn’t too busy when we got there at about 11:30 AM. We brought a couple of floats to sit in while enjoying the water. Park rules: No alcohol or loud music. We actually noticed a park ranger walking around checking peoples coolers. There are lots of picnic tables and grills but we didn’t use the grill and brought pre-made sub sandwiches and lots of other snacks.

There's clean restrooms and showers here. There's only a 30 amp charger so if you're looking for a 50 amp RV charger there isn't any. Reservation is required. The water is nice and cool not cold. Just remember if you want to jump down on the cliff be sure you know where to swim for the next available rock.

Went to the upper and lower falls β€” upper falls are more accessible. Nice place to hike around and get a bit lost.

The falls were beautiful, but low because i went in the winter. Lovely walking paths, and if you go during the week its pretty empty and quiet.
