Very fun and unexpected experience here on a Friday night! Originally enticed by the huge selection of boots, we were pleased to also find live music here and a bar serving free margaritas. On top of this, we got to watch one of the shop’s staff light hats on fire!

Wow, if you want it, they have it! Every kind of skin you can think of from hundreds of dollars to thousands of dollars. If you're serious and need more personal attention, recommend going on a weekday to avoid the masses on weekends. Rhino, alligator, cow...and the staff is very knowledgeable about their products.

This was my first time to go to Allen's Boots, and I'm impressed with the selection and service. I saw some boots online, and I wasn't sure which size to get. Nanette helped me find the right size and helped me pick out some really cool boots. They actually weren't the boots I'd seen online, but I like these even better. I've worn boots my whole life but I've never worn the double stitched wide toe, so it took a few tries to find the right fit and she took the time to help me find the right pair.

An amazing shopping experience that my friend and I had. My friend walked out of the store with a cowboy hat and cowboy boots and a biggest smile ever :)) All the staff were great. They love what they do, know exactly what the customers want, and are proud of their craftsmanship. Hats off.

We are in town for the Formula 1 race, as are a few hundred thousand other people. As you can imagine, visitors to Texas from all over the world might be interested in a new pair of authentic cowboy boots. Well, Allen’s was packed wall-to-wall. That did not stop us from receiving personalized service over the course of nearly an hour by Andrew and Noah. They went out of their way to help us find what we were looking for, and my husband ended up buying a pair of Lucchese boots. If you’re in ATX and you’re looking for attentive staff and a huge selection of boots, be sure to stop by Allen’s.

This place is the real deal— you walk in and it's a dizzying selection of boots which range from classic ariats to really unique finds. They're all organized by size which makes it easy to peruse the huge selection. The staff are super helpful and patient and will give you all the advice you may need. Most boots are at least a hundred dollars. Just a ton of options, well lit, big mirrors and wide aisles. This is the place to get boots!

I've always wanted to come in here and get boots. Today was the day and wow, I couldn't be happier. The smell of leather greets you and the amount of boots are overwhelming. After finding my size, I was drawn to a specific pair, but I didn't know the perfect fit. Taylor came by and was incredible. She had really good suggestions and helped me find the boots, belt, jeans and a hat. This is a purchase for life and I truly couldn't have imagined a better experience. Thank you!

I have purchased several pairs of boots at other retailers and the experience at Allen’s far exceeded my expectations! They really care about making sure the boot fits right, they can steam and stretch boots for more of a custom fit. I don’t live local but next time I’m in Austin I will be stopping in for another pair.

The entire staff was extremely knowledgeable, experienced and unbelievably helpful. They have expert boot-fitters and hat-fitters on staff. The atmosphere and work place culture was impressive- friendly, customer service oriented and they all work together as a team! Local staff from Texas who know from actual experience what they recommend and why. I was told by one Allen's Boots staff member “they make cowboy boots for cowboys” and “they won’t let you walk out of the store with a pair of boots that don’t fit”. I was in town for a week, so I had the opportunity to take time to make some great buys over several trips to Allen’s. Will, Blake, Taylor, Andrew, Keegan, Lucas, Blue and Layla all helped me make great choices for me and my better half, who was stuck in a conference. Taylor, Will and Blake fitted me for two pair of Allen’s brand boots. Allen’s brand are quality made with all leather materials and are superior to the chain store boots that use synthetic materials in parts of the boot. The fit, quality and comfort in store was far superior to a recently purchased and broken in pair of Tecova’s. I decided to upgrade on the spot and got the second pair of Allen’s brand boots. Will fitted me for my first cowboy hat, a Stetson Boss of the Plains. When you go to Allen’s it is an experience and not just a trip to the local boot store!

So many boots! They have nice clothes too for men and women. Interesting shop. Pricy. Fun just to go in and have a look. Quite big.

Amazing, spectacular, worth a visit purely for the taxidermied raccoons playing instruments! Plus apparently sometimes they have live music which is super cool, and the boot guy, Jack, was truly a Jack of all trades and delighted my friend and I with his wit and offering us margarita samples :) Also got a free strawberry marg chapstick because they were promoting a local tequila brand? And supporting local artists with their tiny stage :) Very cool store even if you’re not into cowboy fashion the boots and beautiful and there are very interesting amenities lol

The woman who helped me was so friendly and the boots she helped me pick out are SO cute and insanely comfortable. They work with every outfit and I'm constantly receiving compliments. If you're looking to buy cowboy boots in TX, this is your spot!

Came to TX with money save specifically for boots and this is where I went. Loved the selection and the smell of leather boots when walking in. The staff was very attentive and helpful but not too overbearing. I tried on many-a boots but settled on a pair of trendy modern ankle boots with a cute buckle. I will say though, if I want a pair of taller boots, I need to be back with more money saved up bc the taller boots are pricier.

Everyone I met there was incredibly helpful. Andrew was great. He helped us with our purchase, and we left the store completely satisfied. Job well done team, you all were fantastic!

I have been shopping and taking family and friends to Allen’s Boots for over forty years. I was there today and the found a place to park right behind the store. My son purchased a hard to find belt blank for his four piece buckle. His sales person, Andrew, found just the right blank and added the buckle to it. The cashier and those who greeted us made us feel at home.

A great place to come and buy some boots. there is a huge variety of different styles and sizes.

Incredible experience. They have a bar so you can just chill in the store and have a drink while they fix up your new hat. I loved it. As a first timer in Texas this was a must!

One of the more interesting stores in south congress. A must visit to anyone in the area, even if you’re not looking to purchase cowboy boots. There are also clothing and hats, and their t-shirts make a fantastic souvenir

Huge selection of boots, hats, belts etc, love the ankle cowboy boots I bought. Came for boots on a friday evening and ended up staying for a while enjoying the live music, free beers/margaritas! Great marketing as my partner ended up buying a belt after the beers lol!

We came to Allen Boots on our last day in Austin and Andrew was literally the best! He was so patient and helpful as I tried to find what boot I liked. He also went out of his way to find an Austin Boots shirt in size Large for my husband. This store is a lot more customer friendly compared to the other boot stores around it. Definitely recommend going there if you’re looking to buy a real pair of cowboy boots.

What an amazing store. The selection of boots here is absolutely astonishing. They’ll help you find the correct fit as well. I didn’t purchase any boots this time but if you are a tourist here, you really need to see this boot shop as an attraction at least! The store also smells really good like leather.

A great must go place to shop on Congress. The folks there are super helpful in assisting you finding just the right Texas dress. I found the perfect hat. There was country band playing there and the tequila was free. How can you beat that?!

Wow! What an amazing selection of boots! They aren’t cheap, but you definitely get what you pay for. The staff was very friendly and offered to take pictures of us trying on crazy boots.
