i looked up nudist area near me and based my Austin trip around Hippie Hollow! I love being nude and feeling comfortable in my own skin, it was nice seeing other people enjoying themselves as well. the water was super clean and the weather was perfect! it is a little hike on rocks to reach the water so come prepared with water shoes. I also highly recommend bringing chairs as it's completely covered in rocks. we made some friends and memories to last a lifetime! can't wait to go back! for sure my new spot. 🎉

As advertised, it's for 18 years and older and is a rocky beach park with access to the lake. There is a strong police presence and a paved trail that wraps around the park with numbered staircases down to the "beach". There is consistent boat traffic right past the buoys, which has the added benefit of providing some slight movement and waves to what could be a stagnant waterfront. On the weekday in July that I visited, the water was clear and refreshing, but not cold, and it wasn't very crowded before lunch. It started to fill up off of stairs 1-3 by lunchtime.

Its beautiful to look at...but be prepared to climb rocks. Wear Sketchers, and cover your skin until you get to your desired sitting area...then be FREEEEEEE and come out ya clothes!! Bring swim shoes cause the rocks dont stop at shore. I'd rather experience this area by boat, if I ever try again

Where else in Texas can you run around naked or sunbathe nude? Awesome clean place. Rangers are everywhere to keep an eye on people. I feel very comfortable there.

My experience at this nude beach was so much better than any other nude beach I’ve been too. People are very nice & did not have anyone creep me out at all, plus I was alone. The only downside is more rocks going across then beach. Lake Travis is always beautiful though! ☀️ it was decently crowded for a Tuesday night & most people were not nude, but there were plenty that were too!

Grate experience with kind fellow park goers. No pressure, creepy behavior, or issues had. There is a heavy police presence to prevent over crowding and underage visitors. Signs made it clear where clothing was and was not optional. Beware this is a park and not a sandy beach! The water’s edge is lined with rocks and tent can be slippery. But there is a paved path from the parking lot making easy for everyone to access. Really recommend this place for anyone looking to loosen their drawstrings near Austin.

My favorite place to swim in Texas. Love being around friendly people who appreciate being nude. Even the rangers are friendly and they walk around to make sure everyone is safe. There's no shade near the water so many bring their own. Rocks are kinda hard to lay on so a mat would help and sturdy water shoes if ya plan to walk down. It does get crowded on summer weekends and parking fills up so come early or late...

The water is getting really low. Been going here for a few years and it's def more of a hike now than ever before, if you plan on getting in the water. Suggest water shoes for the rocks. There are alot of ants / bugs, be smart about your snack containers. Everyone is pretty respectful and respects each other space, pretty awesome. Park rangers keep it really clean. Bring cash for the entrance fee.

Great park with access to lake Travis. 8$ per person isn't bad at all and it allowed you to re enter and as well as entry to other Travis county parks. Yes it is clothing optional so keep that in mind. Gets deep pretty quickly but I still managed to find a spot near stairs 1 that was shallow enough for me to hang around all day.

Hippie hollow was so beautiful and clean! It is not too crowded as it is a weekday, so if you want quiet, go on a weekday. The bathrooms do not have doors but are very clean. REMINDER: this is a nude-optional beach And there will be people in various states of undress.

If going to a ( an optional )nudist beach / waterfront is on your bucket list. Hippy hallow is the place to go. The hike to the lake & back to the car is steep. Be sure to bring your water shoes, plenty of water to stay hydrated, an umbrella, chair and towel. Clothes are required while in the parking lot headed down toward the lake but one you see the beautiful view your free to be free.

Really fun time. Definitely wanna bring the sunscreen and maybe an umbrella or tent. For those that don’t know, it is clothing optional and most don’t prefer the option so u will see nudity. Definitely not for prudes. It is $8 for general admission, $6 for seniors, and disabled vets 50% or more get in free. It does get busy so keep that in mind

A different kind of lake experience. It has good views of lake travis. You can see mountains and The Oasis from here. The lake is big. Boating facility is available here. Also waterplane ride is available. This is not some kind of beach, so no sand here. You will find big rocks and boulders here. You can sit here, have drink and spend relaxing time. It has ample parking space. Entry fee is $8 per person. It can be bit crowdy in spring time. Also people tend to reserve spaces by keeping their belongings. So be mindful while sitting anywhere. Note that this is clothing optional beach, so consider that before going there.

I came here with another girlfriend and it was a good experience. It is $8 per person and cash only so be prepared. It’s a walk from the parking lot to the water and it’s pretty rocky and a slight incline since the lake is so low right now(summer 2022). Nice if you wanna get some lake swimming in, definitely bring a floaty because it gets deep.

I went there with my partner and we loved it. You get to experience a very different atmosphere. Mostly open minded people. Fresh water to swim, and you can also dive on some parts. I definitely recommend this place to you(adults of course) if you want to enjoy something completely different. You don’t have to get naked if you don’t want to. BUT keep in mind this is a nude beach.

Short stay in Austin but this side trip was well worth it. Gorgeous, clear water for swimming and no wet suit to deal with. Even at the end of October the water was super comfortable for swimming. Everyone was friendly and cool. Highly recommend a visit and a clothing optional experience.

Interesting place to reflect your life and interact with mother of nature 🧘🏻‍♂️💦🌿 and I didn’t knew this place is the only nude beach place of all Texas wow at least it was fun to enjoy the place and relax 😁

First thing you need to know is this is a clothing optional location, so you will be seeing people take the option. Second, bring water. Lots of it. Whatever you think you need, double it or more. There is at least one restroom that has a faucet and a water fountain. The climb down the trail is quite easy to make, but coming up in the heat can be a little difficult. There is not a lot of shade the closer you get to the shore, so bring your own if you want it close to the shore. The Rangers do walk around making sure that nothing sexual is going on. If they catch you (and they will) you'll get arrested. All in all, it's a nice place. I'd give it a visit at least once and I'll be going back

Forgot your swim suit? No problem. Birthday suits (18 & up) are the norm. Don’t forget the sunscreen though, this is Texas (Summertime is unforgiving) & a favorite floaty for the lake. Definitely read up on the rules before going. Great Austin icon worth checking out if you’re interested. Wear sturdy shoes for walking on the rocky beach, areas. If you’re not a fan of tan lines, this is your place. :D Please Note: included pics from website regarding policies while on site.

Absolute must visit if you're traveling to Austin and an outdoors person. This is one of the most amazing experiences to go 100% bare in such beautiful country. Bring towels to lay out on the rocks and enjoy walking about the trails.

I went with my friend in a beautiful weather. There is no nudist beach in our country. It felt a bit strange seeing my friend of 10 years like that. But we really liked it. Really beautiful nature and water is very nice. we met two beautiful cool girls and we hung out for a few days we had a great time. I definitely recommend.

Pretty rocky but beautiful area. Everyone was very nice as well. However, the absolute gem was the woman at the entrance who explained all the rules quickly, but kindly and with enthusiasm. It felt a very safe and welcoming environment, and enjoying the sun to the sound of the waves was a blissful experience.

Plenty of people are wearing swimsuits, so don't feel like you have to be nude. Bring water shoes! One of the nicest clothing optional beaches ive seen. The water was very low so it was a challenge to get to the water in most coves except for the western end.

Best park on lake Travis, just get over your undeveloped body-negative attitude and enjoy the experience of sun, air and water on your naked body. It's amazing, liberating and good for you.

Hippie Hollow is a great place to get some sun! It's a nude beach, so no one under 18 is allowed.

Really beautiful clean water. Great scenery. Wear sneakers, it’s super rocky and there is climbing involved depending on where you access the water. Also, you don’t HAVE to be nude but a lot of people are. Only downside was a man on a boat was filming and taking photos of a friend and I (we were clothed) so just keep your eyes peeled for any creeps on boats.

We travel the country in our little car rig we have decked out and our 2 dogs travel with us. When we arrived at the gate there was only 40 minutes left till close( google said close at 8) they were closing at 5:30pm. This was our first time and we just wanted to check it out. They wouldn’t let us in because of the dogs, they can’t go in water and can’t stay in the car. Which makes this really difficult when there is no other place for them. It was only 65 degrees and they know the drill. We take such good care of them and they stay in the car with us everywhere we go. Sad we didn’t get to experience this cool spot while we were in Austin.

Secluded beach with optional clothing. The "beach" is rocky and not a bunch of shade, but it's so nice to relax in the birthday suit with like minded individuals. Great time.

Amazing place, water was SO nice. People were cordial and trail access is good. However, due to the level of the water, getting down the beach is a bit rough with all the rocks currently.

Really great place to be naked and free, make sure to bring a cooler full of water, bring extra towels. Don’t sit near the trees, lots of clothes pervs. For the people who are clothed and just watching, get naked and enjoy the water. For couples, lots of great folks to talk too. Bring some floaters and can drinks. No glass
