Has been one of my favorite spots for years. We took our dog here regularly until he passed recently. He spent his last morning there. Will always hold a special place for us.

Too beautiful, a place untouched. As swimming is not allowed here, very clear water, people bring their SUP or boats here. Very calming experience. Large off leash paradise for dogs. A great city escape. Cons: limited parking. arrived on Sunday 9:30am, wait to parking like 10min.

I've been in Austin since 2001. I never knew there was a little outdoor paradise here. An actual island surrounded by beautiful water and clean trails. Novice photographers and artists need to come here. Bring your dog, they'll really appreciate it.

The places is beyond beautiful if you go on the right day. Great spot for hiking and walking dogs. Saw lots of dogs, mostly unleashed. Actually wanted to go fishing. Seems like a great place but nothing was biting for a long long time. Just dumb bluegills. It's a peaceful place to relax. The only bummer is the parking situation. Very limited parking. People were waiting in line to grab a parking spot. Less than 10 cars possibly. Overall great place to visit.

First time here and will definitely be visiting again. My dog really enjoyed the park. It's not a very long trail but there is lots of open space in the beginning of trail to have some play time. You may want to check the status of the water algae before coming if your dog loves to swim.

This place is beautiful. 13 acres of leash free dog area. It's literally an island. Lush and water for fido to swim in. Saw people fishing and kayaking. Lots of happy dogs.

Beautiful park for both human and doggies. Our pup had a wonderful time there rolling in the mud and dipping in the lake. The parking area is pretty small, ended up queuing for a space. Other than that, great place to let the four-legged family member running around and have some fun!

Beautiful park. Cons: • One thing to note if you are planning on bringing your dog - most people arent following the dog on/off leash rules, dogs are running around everywhere. If your dog doesn't like being approached by random dogs or is skiddish, this might not be the best place. • limited parking. You may have to wait 10 minutes for a spot to open up. There is a little dirt lot across the street, but that holds maybe 6 cars. Pros: • if you want to be surrounded by dogs, there are a lot here. • there are a lot of benches with beautiful scenery. • there are also multiple easy to use water access areas for paddleboarding and kayaking.

It is a pretty good place for evening walk. Small island, you don’t need to walk too much to explore the entire isle. Parking might be problematic in busy seasons.

Beautiful place. At night you can see fireflies here. However, you should bring a torchlight/phone at night because there are no lights. Sometimes the lake is algae infested and dogs should not swim in there then

The view was beautiful, being one with nature and fishing is the best feeling in the world. It's a great place to take your love ones and family and the family pet. The parking wasn't so difficult but it quite the popular spot 👌 they might be full. So remember, timing is everything so plan accordingly. So you don't miss the sun set or rise over the beautiful forestry and lake Austin.

We were tucked away in a little spot of the park, but it was very pleasant and beautiful in the shade. It was nice and quiet to enjoy the Jazz playing on our phone. Shade was needed on this very hot day. Glad we always have chairs in our trunk for this last-minute decision to explore during a brief visit from San Antonio. You would never know that other nearby parts of the water were absolutely packed with boats and boards, and that there was a neverending line to park. It was a Holiday weekend. Will definitely return and explore more of the park on another visit.

Surreal place to paddle boat or kayak individually or with a group of friends, jump in the water and soak yourself in water all year round. It’s secluded and you may have the place to yourself or just a few more like minded people.

Cypress trees were in beautiful fall colors! Easy walk for children and mobility challenged individuals.

Loved visiting here. Not as crowded as the Zilker/Downtown area and has relaxed atmosphere. No waiting forever to find parking. When I went, the fall was at its peak and sun was shining just right to make those fall colors pop. Do go all the way to the end of the walking trail to see the beautiful tree. Overall, not a must if visiting Austin but if you are local or visit often, a nice place to visit.

A great place for a quiet walk and great spot to kayak! Not a lot of parking but if you wait around you’ll typically get a spot after some waiting. I’ve always managed to find a parking spot.

I love it here, great place for family fun or a evening date. It’s nice and serene friendly folks and their dogs but water is the showstopper.

Great scenic park. Fun place for the dogs and I see a lot of people paddle boarding and kayaking. Knocked off one star because there isn't munch parking.
