So many great trails and things to do. Spanning from beginner to intermediate, there is a good range of difficulty for Austin. Beautiful surroundings. Just be careful in the unleashed part, some dogs are more trained than other. And watch out for filled poop bags left on the trails.

Brought the kids here over spring break. They LOVED the giant slide and merry go round. We took a short hike down to the creek and watched the dogs play in the water and waded around. Spent a good 90+ minutes here, but could have stayed longer.

I have been coming to Walnut Creek for about 25 years now. It's a great place to learn how to ride on a mountain bike. If you're into bmx or dirt jumping the bmx pump track is your spot. With over 13mi of mount bike trails this place is great for riders of all skill. You definitely want to come at the less busier times since there are off leash dogs. Beware of hikers with their ear buds in not paying attention. I'd recommend to come in a Sunday morning and join in on one of the Austin ridge riders group ride to get a feel for the layout and find a flow of the trails.

Off leash trails make for lots of happy dogs. Good dog swimming spots after rain. The trails are shared with many mountain bikes.

I like this trekking so much. Kids can enjoy a little bit of the Forest before playing the playground. Pool is not working but it’s not a problem.

Wanted to do an easy hike late evening last week, and my son suggested this place. The scenery is beautiful and doesn't involve too much undulation on the many trail choices. There's a park nearby for the little ones and the main creek itself, is great if you have dogs with you on your walk (which we saw quiet a few). The trails we walked also had a lot of mountain bikers on them, but it was all very courteous as they called out ahead of time, so walks would know they were coming through. Overall, it's a beautiful place to walk, parking was easy and it's a lively place to visit. We'll be going back.

Amazing Park! Great for little kids (they have several well built play apparatus), excellent for dogs (with off leash areas), a lot of well marked trails of varying difficulty (for walking, running, and mountain biking). Plus there were several picnic tables with charcoal grills. My wife used the p-house and she rated it 7 out 10. Was relatively clean (especially for a city/neighborhood park) and had plenty of squares to spare!

This is a great park. My gf and I take our dog here and I think it used to be off leash but don’t think it is anymore. There’s def still some spots where you can let your dog off though. I want to come back for mountain biking. Looks like they’ve got tons of trails. Huge park and fun to explore. Also nice paved path through the middle with some cool bridges. Go check it out if you’re in the area.

This is a tranquil park and you will see everyone from runners, walking, dogs, bicycles etc. This park has an advantage which is many shaded areas so you can take a break from the intense sun here in Austin. I recommend taking water with you especially for the dogs. I dont see water fountains along the path but there are rivers for pups to cool down in. Great place for jogging and bicycling.

This a fantastic park! The playground has something for everyone. A Large playground structure, toddler area, jungle gyms, merry-go-round, swings, and a nature play area. The large play structure is a 3 story wonder. The first level has lounge swings, small handhold climbing wall, and small windows for whatever children can imagine. The second level has ADA stairs, ladder, fire pole, a small rope climb, and a fun open top slide. The third level is accessible via climable landings. Once at the top kids can survey their kingdom from look out or take the super long enclosed slide back to the bottom. The main playground has mix of soft rubber ground and wood chips. There is a jungle gym that is true to the name. It is constructed of wood poles and thick ropes. The ADA merry-go-round is flush with the rubberized floor and allows for anyone to sit or stand while it is spun. The last climbing structure is all about balance! All obstacles are set about 18 inches above the ground. Kids can practice walking across a suspension bridge, balance beam, swinging beam, monkey bars, and small twisted rope feature. The swings include a standard swing, disc swing, and a friend & me swing. On the far side is a small toddler area with a climbable purple dinosaur. The ground is fake grass. There is a short but steep slide for adventurous tots. The nature play area has a fun hut built out of branches. Lots of stumps to balance or hide behind. What realy stood out was the bunches of free branches to let your builders create their own fort or shelter. The main picnic area is shaded with lots of trees, features 6 picnic tables, 3 benches and a water fountain with a dog bowl.

First and foremost, the trail's paved surface was a pleasant surprise. It made for a smooth and comfortable walk, ensuring accessibility for people of all fitness levels. This is a great advantage for those who prefer not to trudge through rough terrain. The standout feature of this trail is the abundance of offshoots for off-pavement biking. These branching paths allow adventurous cyclists to venture into more rugged terrain, adding an exciting dimension to the experience. It's perfect for mountain bike enthusiasts looking to challenge themselves. One of the benefits of the trail's length is that it accommodates a diverse range of users, from casual walkers to serious athletes. It's also family-friendly, making it a great option for a weekend outing with loved ones. This 5-mile trail is a gem for outdoor enthusiasts. Its paved surface and offshoots cater to a wide audience. Whether you're looking for a leisurely stroll or a thrilling off-pavement biking adventure, this trail has you covered.

Fun- trail loops: wandering while paying some attention to passing bicyclists & direction etc. proved challenging for a couple children in our group. Mostly positive impressions. Popular destination this particular day, but no big fuss about getting in & out... glad we went. Functional water fountain near playground: appreciated [& portapotties across the parking lot I'm grateful not to have used, regular restroom seemed to be closed]. I might've been disappointed to only go there for the playground but it is nice.

Place is honestly cool because you can have your dogs off the leash. My dog is still learning how to interact with other dogs, so bring her here helps a lot lot. I would not have her off the leash the whole time, but we did have times where it wasn’t very crowded and I let her off the leash to walk around. There is creeks running through and a lot of people. The walking areas are shaded at times, but also some that let the sun through. I wish there were more parks like this in the Austin area.

There is a long, paved trail for bikes. The out and back is just over 6 miles. There are many non paved trails that double as mountain biking trails. For anyone not familiar with bikers, listen for bikers yelling “on your left” or “on your right” and announcing how many additional folks behind them. If you meander through the trails stay aware of where you are.

Very good park and trail for bike, walk, or dogs .. off leash places for pets.. good for fun and gather .. You might have a challenge finding parking during busy time .. We can see streams, lots of trees and i found it to be place to burn up some calories. It has some great views of Austin and Walnut Creek rings right through it. You should bring running or walking shoes on a few trails.

What a fabulous park! Very dog-friendly and many paved and unpaved areas to explore and hike. It seems weekends are very popular with mountain bikers so be aware.

Nice Park. Bathrooms are unavailable unless your okay with bringing your own toilet paper and using the Porter potty. Everyone keeps to themselves. But this Park does get very very Packed. So if you want it to be peaceful with no people. Best to choose another Park. People like to play music and walk Dogs around. Be aware alot of dogs were off leash. Base ball games and sport games happen all around you. Even got to witness people cosplaying and playing swords in the field. Lots of tree shade, which is very nice.
