From start to finish, my stay was great. I used the contact less check in and used my phone as my card for access. The rooftop pool was amazing, sauna & steam were very clean. The dining options were wonderful. There was a duplicate charge to my room by mistake and they fixed it immediately. Check out was fast, easy. Will absolutely stay again. Thank you

As you can see from the picture, I was given only a partial view with this room. Make sure you ask for something above the 10th floor. The room was dark, so I asked if I could get an additional lamp for the room. They were very accommodating. Hospitality is top-notch at this hotel. The bed did not sleep well for me. It was just a little bit too soft for my liking. The shower was nice and hot . The Indigo tiles were quite cute along with the gold trimming. I got some food from the restaurant downstairs, Austin tacos . I was not impressed with the tiny tacos, but the roasted corn soup was quite good. The hotel is situated in a nice part of town. I would say that would be like the downtown part. The night stands both have connectivity panels which makes everything so much better.

My sister and I had a wonderful experience at the Hilton! Great location in the city. Room was very clean. Beds were super comfortable and clean. Safety measures were in place such as card key needed to operate the elevators, closed gate to the parking garage and police monitored the hotel periodically. Pool drinks were a bit pricey and pool water could have been a little clearer/cleaner. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would come back again!

I stayed here for a short vacation and enjoyed every moment! The hotel was gorgeous and smelled amazing. The atmosphere is inviting and the decor is spectacular. There are several places to eat and drink in the lobby and they were very good! Check in process was fast and the staff members were friendly! Our room was well prepared and I have no complaints there. I was able to enjoy the roof top pool and hot tub, even though the weather wasn’t the greatest. Overall I would recommend and I would definitely stay here again if I visit Austin!

This is a great property. The staff is prompt, the restaurants located inside the hotel are great! The room service is fast and the rooms are clean and comfy, windows clean and the AC and heat work well. Honestly, this is a well managed enjoyable property in a great location. I always enjoy staying here.

I recently stayed at at this hotel and it was absolutely disgusting. The room was dirty and had a strong odor that made it difficult to breathe. The sheets were stained and the carpet was sticky and covered in dirt. The check-in process was a nightmare. The staff was rude and uncooperative, and it took over an hour to get my room key. They seemed more interested in chatting with each other than helping the guests. To make matters worse, the management was unresponsive to my complaints about the dirty room. When I asked to speak with a manager, they were unavailable and refused to return my calls. Overall, my experience at this hotel was terrible. I would not recommend staying here to anyone. The dirty rooms and uncooperative staff made for a completely unpleasant stay

I recently stayed at Hilton Austin and overall, it was a pleasant experience. The hotel staff truly stood out with their warm and friendly service, making me feel welcomed throughout my stay. While the room wasn't anything extraordinary, it was comfortable enough for a good night's rest. The highlight of my stay was definitely the variety of amenities available. I particularly enjoyed the bourbon bar, taco shop, and Starbucks on-site, providing a convenient and diverse range of options. If you're looking for a comfortable stay with great staff and enjoyable amenities, Hilton Austin is a solid choice.

Excellent hotel. Make sure to become an Honors Member to get discounts and perks. They treat you so well when you are an Honors member. You can get free self parking, bottled water, and other amenities just for asking. Make sure to ask for Pamela to say hello, she is very friendly and super helpful. I stayed in a room with the skyline view. It was very excellent. The view was breath taking.

Service was terrific - I felt the front desk went above and beyond. Our business conference was fantastic - food was very good and the wait-staff was attentive and polite (2 days in seminars). It was a noticeable difference from other hotels I've stayed at (hence, the review). It was clean and the design of the hotel was great (I'm in the field). Wayfinding was good, amenities were a surprise (steam room/sauna), and the hotel rooms weren't dated in the least. Perhaps they had a recent renovation.... I could have done away with the "horns on a bicycle" artwork in the bathroom (LOL) but it sure felt like Texas! NOTE that the "Convention Center" is across the street but connected by a bridge overhead. I walked through the halls and that wasn't a nice place.

As always, I had a wonderful stay at the Downtown Austin Hilton. My room is always clean, and the gym is wonderful. I was a little disappointed the sauna was inoperative, but the steam room did the trick. The food in the restaurant and at the taco restaurant downstairs is delicious. The service is top notch. All of the staff are welcoming, attentive, and quick to assist. I look forward to my next stay here.

Very nice hotel located at the convention center. Nice rooms, good views. Mini fridge, coffee maker, table& chair. Starbucks connected to lobby area. Workout center as well. Very pleasant staff. Pretty much everything you would need for a stay.

Overall nice hotel. Room was cold (thermostat set to 65) and that was easy to adjust. Also room smelled of smoke and a/c unit intermittent had a high pitch noise that was annoying. My room had a nice view and was convenient to the convention center.

Had a horrible experience at this hotel. The front desk manager was rude and threatening. I asked to speak with the hotel manager and he said I will talk to him first. Only a taco restaurant in the hotel. The rooms are okay old bathrooms. If you are at a conference at the convention center its literally outside your door. My visit at this hotel was so bad I may never stay at a Hilton propert again. I am the top tier @ Marriott I know hotels and people at this property have zero people skills.

This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed at in my life. First, the shower water was too hot (temperature not adjustable). After failing to fix it, they moved me to a room which turned out to be occupied with a "Do not disturb" sign at the door. The 3rd room I was assigned had 2 active cockroaches in the bathroom and bedroom. They then moved me to another (4th) room whose water tap suffers from extremely low pressure. At this point, I was too exhausted to go through another room change, and was pretty much convinced that every single room in this hotel comes with an issue, just a matter of personal preference. Compared to scalding shower water and spending the nights with cockroaches, I could at least put up with spending more time at the sink. That said, customer service at this hotel was superb - they attended to my requests right away. The hotel lobby looked impressive. Unfortunately, I was there expecting a safe, clean and comfortable stay, not just a 5-star experience in the hotel lobby. Given the upsetting experience I just had at Hilton Austin, I'll avoid booking Hilton hotels all over the world from this point onwards.

I was just there for a conference, and the staff was beyond helpful. Even the security guard chipped in to help me with my bags when everyone was busy. Luis at the front deck and the other gentleman (I can't remember his name) were super accommodating. Got me checked in early. Service and location was overall outstanding. Would definitely stay again.

The entire Hilton chain has lost my business for the next several years at least because this Hotel and the HiltonHonors program between them would not issue a refund for state taxes that never should have been collected to begin with, and why I was exempt from due to travel related to work for a charitable organization. This will cost your entire chain literally thousands of dollars going forward, all over a $75 dispute. Well done. 1-star.

As someone who typically stays in five-star accommodations, my expectations were adjusted prior to my arrival at the Hilton in Austin. The hotel presents well from the outside, boasting a visually appealing lobby that houses a restaurant, bar, seating areas, and a conveniently located Starbucks. However, the experience upon arrival fell short of my expectations. The absence of doormen or bellmen meant we had to manage our luggage independently, leading us to a lengthy queue at reception. The wait for check-in stretched between 30 to 40 minutes, during which my status as a Diamond member was neither acknowledged nor were any associated amenities offered. The room itself was clean but lacked the spaciousness I am accustomed to. The bathroom was notably small, equipped with a shower curtain, which felt misaligned with the otherwise modern aesthetics of the lobby. A significant discrepancy in quality between the public areas and the guest rooms was evident, highlighted by the outdated nature of the room and a noticeable tear in our bed sheets. Rooms are noisy, you can hear the people in the other rooms and in the hallway. You can even hear their alarms! A surprising oversight was the absence of bottled water in the room, a standard amenity in most hotels. This inconvenience was compounded by the fact that water was neither provided for the coffee maker nor available for purchase. Furthermore, the mini bar/fridge was empty, deviating from what one might expect in a hotel of this caliber. The policy that rooms are cleaned only upon request was another unexpected aspect of our stay. While it's commendable that the housekeeping service was prompt once requested, the necessity to ask for basic replenishments like coffee supplies seemed unusual. On a positive note, the hotel's location is excellent, offering convenient access to local attractions. This, coupled with the hotel's appealing lobby area, partially offsets the shortcomings experienced during our stay. In summary, while the Hilton Austin has certain merits, including its prime location and attractive communal areas, the overall experience was underwhelming, especially for a traveler used to higher-end accommodations. The lack of attention to detail in guest services and room amenities significantly impacted the quality of our stay, aligning more with a three-star experience.

The building is nice but let down by the service - rooms are not serviced every day, and there are no robes in the rooms which means you have to go to the spa fully dressed. Simple improvements that could be easily made but consideration is not given to the customer experience. Also the pool bar was closed. I also suffered from noise from the corridor and adjoining rooms. For this very expensive price point, I would expect the small details to be improved.

I think the mark of a 5-star hotel is not that everything goes perfectly; rather, when something does not, the way it is addressed. Life happens. People extend. People are tired. Kids are small humans still learning to navigate life. The front desk and other staff have been wonderful. The rooms are very clean. The pool and health club are exceptional. The executive lounge, with one exception, has been great with good food and drinks. All the hotel guests have understood tired kids, loud swimmers and it has been a really great stay. Beautiful view. Quiet rooms. Seamless connectivity. The location is close to some of our favorites, Cooper’s, Roaring Fork… and as a local I appreciate every facet of our stay.

The front receptionist, Carmen, I believe, was excellent! I was stuck due to a Winter Storm, and I had to book with HGI because the original hotel was booked for additional nights. The breakfast was good, and again, good customer service. Where it went down hill was the only restaurant and in bar in the hotel, closes about 11:00 am and does not open back until 5:00 pm. I skipped lunch think I could just wait until 5:00 because… it’s a Winter Storm. I go upstairs at 5:00… restaurant is closed. Not due to staff being able to get in due to icy conditions, as one of Asst. Managers stated, but because there was a private party. I think, it would have been a good idea to communicate that to guest earlier, instead walking up and being turned away… The rooms were average. One the towel rails fell off the wall, and I didn’t have hot water. I could again, go with a winter storm, but I was told no one else had stated such.

Overall the hotel was a great experience. I was treated with the highest level of professionalism by the front desk and the staff at the lobby bar. This sounds weird, but the lobby smelled amazing! We, unfortunately, ran into the pool being cleaned one day, and it was very cold during the 50° temperatures. The hot tub was cold too due to cleaning at around 70°. The second /third day we used the pool it was a very pleasant temperature. The bad,] a member of the cleaning crew entered our room while my Wife and I were out of the room, even though we had our "do not disturb" sign on the door. Our boys were in the room watching television. They said he entered, they were confused because he didn't announce himself, then he just turned and left the room when he saw them without saying anything or apologizing. The location was both good and not great. It was close to the highway so getting to and from the airport was a breeze in an Uber, but the proximity to the rest of downtown and South Congress was a little too far. We walked the first morning, and then took rides the rest of the time because the east side of town is a little rough for a family. I enjoyed this hotel, but may look elsewhere if I travel back to Austin in the near future.

It's always a wonderful experience at Hilton hotels. I've never had a bad experience that I can remember. I stay at a hotel multiple times every month. I can truly say that the Hilton chain is my favorite because of the comfort level it provides from all different aspects. The bedding, the service, the amenities, the breakfast, etc. Everything is wonderful when you choose Hilton hotels. The Hilton Austin also provided the same level of experienced comfort that not all hotels can provide. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Nice hotel. Self parking is located in the back of the hotel. Rooms were very nice and clean. Hotel was busy as there was some type of running conference being hosted at the time so the large crowd made lines to the Starbucks in the hotel close to 20 minutes for a cup of coffee. In either case, amazing location and would definitely stay again.

The hotel is located perfect to enjoy the water or the live music downtown. Roof top pool view gorgeous. Gym was fabulous and clean. Rooms nice size and clean. Only come to relax a massage option that was there before would have been nice. Also a option for room service or pool side service would have been a nice touch to a relaxing weekend.

This hotel is clean comfortable and upgraded. All staff I’ve interacted with are kind and cordial. I wish I had time to take advantage of all the wonderful amenities. I’m here for a conference at the convention center - the attached bridge is brilliant and makes my life so easy.

Two stars for the view. This was definitely the weirdest hotel stay I've ever had. Upon arrival, the room we requested was not ready yet (it was after 3PM). We were offered a different room on a different floor which was fine. The first night, two security officers came to our room for talking too loud? Apparently the room next door complained. Instead of front desk calling our room to tell us to keep it down, they sent security? The officers looked embarrassed and said they knew we were not partying or anything (no tv or music on) but that the walls were really thin and someone had reported it. Okay, weird but maybe understandable. On the day we were to check out, housekeeping knocked and then proceeded to enter our room at around 8-9AM. I was under the assumption there was no housekeeping unless requested? She quickly backed out when she saw we were still sleeping. We then tried to shower, wash our face, etc but there was no water. I called down to the front desk and was told the water was shut off for maintenance. No one had informed us of this the day prior. When we went to check out the concierge was extremely apologetic. He said he would refund us a partial refund for the trouble of the no water. I did not ask for this, he offered it. He called me on my cell phone a couple of times after we left about this refund and told me that it had been taken care of via the third party site I had booked the room. When I didn't see the charge back or any communication more than a week later, out of curiosity I reached out to the site I booked from and they said they couldn't refund me after contacting the hotel because they said there had been no incidents during our stay. What? Not worth the trouble to fight this, but wow. Just wanted to share our experience. The skyline view was awesome though.

The hotel is beautiful. The location is perfect. The Starbucks is very convenient. The staff are a whole other level. I got sick during my stay and the front desk proactively organized a wheelchair ride and checked on my safety. This is exactly the kind of service that will bring me back!

Overall, great experience at the hotel. The area is interesting... during the day I felt comfortable walking into downtown and over to South Congress, but I got an Uber in the evenings. The staff was super friendly. The pool area was nice, but the water was super cold. I wish the pool bar were open more since there isn't anywhere else just to grab a quick drink unless you go to one of the two restaurants. It would be nice to have a little grab-and-go area for beverages and food for hotel guests.

Excellent service, great location, and wonderful views from the upper floors. This was probably some of the best hospitality I've ever gotten from a hotel. While I didn't receive the double bed room I'd requested, the staff upgraded me to a suite room on the 25th floor. When I walked in the door, I was greeted with an incredible view of the downtown Austin skyline and a spacious room more than enough for two people. The only disappointment (besides the double bed room availability) was the size of the shower and minor maintenance issues with some of the cabinetry. Aside from that, I had a great stay here. The afternoon of our departure I had a $30 free hotel credit and hit up Austin Taco Project inside the hotel for some awesome Poke Tacos. Pro-tip: If you want to save some money on weekend parking ($36/night self park or $46/night valet parking at the hotel), drive a block away to the public parking garage. Parking is only $15/day on Saturday until 11am Sunday.

Attended a conference here and was very pleased with the quality of service, staff members and the cleanliness of the hotel. The view of Austin from the swimming pool was breathtaking, something I will always remember! If I ever travel to Austin again I will definitely stay at this Hilton! Another cool thing is that this hotel is very close to downtown so it was easy to walk to all sorts of fun places. Sightseeing, finding lovely souvenirs, touring the Capitol building and eating our way through the excellent restaurants was a pleasurable time to spend our off hours from the conference.

  • 4/5 Chelsea W. 1 year ago on Google
Lobby was beautiful, as were the conference rooms. The rooms had comfortable beds and mine had a great view on the 10th floor. Stayed for 3 nights and the Staff were very friendly and helpful with whatever I needed. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because of the food. That definitely could be improved. At least the food they serve for conference guests. Thank you for a great experience!
