This
is
one
of
the
worst
IHG
hotels
I've
ever
stayed
in.
I've
stayed
in
many
Staybridges
and
IGH
hotels,
and
all
of
them
were
generally
pretty
good,
but
this
one
has
been
the
worst.
While
the
rooms
are
clean
and
seem
to
be
pretty
updated,
it's
everything
else
in
the
hotel
that
needs
updating.
First,
the
keys.
We
had
our
keys
reprogrammed
probably
3-4
times
in
3
days,
and
they
still
hardly
worked
on
any
of
the
doors.
We
had
to
swipe
our
cards
4-5
times
every
time
we
needed
to
use
a
door.
This
may
have
been
a
problem
with
our
specific
cards,
but
if
that
was
the
case,
they
should've
just
replaced
the
cards
altogether
instead
of
reprogramming.
Second,
the
breakfast.
I've
had
really
good
continental
breakfasts
in
Staybridge
hotels
over
the
years,
but
this
one
was
incredibly
disappointing.
The
bacon
was
incredibly
dry
and
tasteless,
the
scrambled
eggs
looked
like
microwaved
mush,
neither
the
juice
machine
nor
the
soda
fountain
were
working
(and
there
was
nothing
else
to
drink
but
coffee).
Even
the
Super
8
we
stayed
at
for
one
night
in
Austin
had
a
working
juice
machine.
On
top
of
that,
they
served
disgusting
banana
nut
waffles
3
days
in
a
row.
I
know
this
is
a
personal
preference,
but
there
should
be
a
regular
waffle
option
for
most
of
us.
Honestly,
we
found
better
breakfast
options
at
a
local
gas
station
close
by.
It
was
better
to
pay
for
breakfast
every
morning
than
to
eat
the
free
"hot,
fresh
breakfast"
they
provided.Third,
the
laundry
room
definitely
needs
updating.
There's
enough
money
in
IHG
that
there
is
no
excuse
for
having
outdated,
broken
equipment.
2/3
of
the
laundry
machines
were
out
of
order,
and
the
only
slightly
working
washer
smelled
of
mold,
and
2
of
the
dryers
didn't
even
heat
properly.
I
didn't
even
get
a
chance
to
dry
my
clothes
because
the
only
working
dryer
was
taken
the
entire
time,
and
even
that
dryer
kept
stopping
every
5-10
minutes.1
working
dryer
for
the
entire
hotel
is
ridiculous!
My
only
complaint
about
the
rooms
themselves
is
that
the
bathrooms
should
be
renovated
because
they
look
like
they
haven't
been
properly
updated
in
a
while
(the
renovations
seemed
to
stop
right
at
the
shower).The
cherry
on
top
of
all
this
is
having
the
slowest
elevator
in
the
entire
world.
It
takes
forever
just
to
get
to
your
room
or
go
downstairs
most
of
the
time.
Honestly,
the
stairs
are
faster.
On
a
whim,
my
girlfriend
and
I
decided
that
we
might
want
to
book
an
extra
night
just
to
stay
in
Austin,
but
they
wanted
to
charge
us
$175
for
an
extra
night.
I
couldn't
help
but
laugh,
because
even
given
its
decent
location,
this
hotel
is
worth
about
$100
a
night
at
best.
I
won't
call
it
the
worst
hotel
I've
ever
stayed
in,
and
honestly
it's
not
terrible
if
you
just
need
1-2
nights.
But
Staybridges
are
supposed
to
be
meant
for
longer
stays,
and
you
pay
a
little
extra
for
a
better
hotel
and
a
good
breakfast.
So
my
recommendation
is
that
if
you're
looking
to
stay
at
a
Staybridge,
spend
the
extra
money
and
go
stay
at
a
nicer
one.
Or
better
yet,
spend
a
little
extra
and
go
stay
at
a
Holiday
Inn
Express,
which
in
my
experience
is
always
so
much
better.
