Just checked in. Front desk people were friendly and got me in early even though it wasn't check in time yet. Room prices are fair. Shower is very clean and room smells fresh. Bathroom is very clean and bed is soft but firm. To me a clean bathroom tells you how clean the rest of the room is. I usually stay at Hamptons but this Holiday Inn was close to where we need to be.

The place is not dog friendly, but employees have dogs on sight. I think the manager lives on this property bc she was hanging around in her pajamas when I checked in. I got in around 2 pm. to see if I could check in since it was close to the 3pm check-in time. I stood there at the desk for a good 5 minutes while the manager and other front desk people were having a conversation about some rooms. The rooms are fine, just like other locations I've stayed in. Breakfast was mehhh. This place has no orange juice and no omelets. No half and half cream, I just opened up a milk to use for my coffee. No boiled eggs. Maybe I am comparing this place too much to the San antonio location, but it does not hold a candle to the service and amenities, but damn it was a letdown. Check out was on your own. No one at the desk. You have to call, and they had dogs barking and whining in the back office 🤫 I had to do my checkout thru the confirmation email I got bc I wasn't going to risk having them charge me additional fees for not being out on time. This place has literally no service 😒 not bad service..... no service.

I have been coming to this hotel for the last four months and I cannot say enough how great this hotel is. The rooms are always clean, the breakfast is very good, and I cannot say enough about how wonderful the staff is. The management will always go above and beyond to ensure your stay is phenomenal. I am here in Austin, TX for work and being at this hotel is like my second home.

We stayed at this hotel for my Birthday weekend. When we first arrived I noticed that it was very hot in the hotel it seemed that the air conditioner was broke . We checked in and went to our room, as I checked everything we noticed that the room needed some items , called down to the front desk and the manager answered, I asked for some items and she hung up the phone for some odd reason. Called back down and another lady answered and told me to come down and get the items. The room was hot as well. In 100 degree weather the AC should be working properly. The customer service need improvement at this location especially from the management. Guests should not be treated this way when they are needing assistance. We will NOT be staying at any other Holiday Inn Express. NOT impressed at all, there are better hotels to choose and stay.

I've always had good experiences at Holiday Inn Express around the world. This one is no exception. It's conveniently located but on a fairly quiet street so traffic noise is never a problem. The staff do a good job. Rooms are clean, well stocked and quiet. Parking is OK, but there were a few parking lot lights out the last time I was there.

I stayed there for 4 nights, Rooms were clean and they had good free breakfast option. But if you are on business trip please make sure to collect all the receipt for every transaction you did. I bought some snacks from there and I paid for it from my credit card. at time of checkout they didn't give me receipt for food, when I asked for it, frontend executive told me it was less than 5$. not a good experience.

We stay with IHG frequently and this location is the best in terms of employees. They are helpful, kind and genuinely seem happy to be there to assist in any needs you may have. We had interactions with Jessica ❤️, Lala & Ashley during our stay and they all treated us with kindness like we’d been friends for years. We were here trying to find my son & Jessica was a wealth of resources in helping him. She truly loves her customers and it is evident with every conversation we witnessed. You truly have exceptional employees and I hope they are appreciated. Great employees are not the norm these days, so you are lucky to have them.

Very clean, pleasant staff! We arrived early & only had to wait a few minutes for our room. The room was super clean and fully stocked. Very good location as well, close to everything.

Last weekend I stayed here . Jessica at the front desk was very knowledgeable and helpful in assisting me with all my questions. She gave me tips and advice and what to look out for on my visit to the bats. And the wierd museum.. the hotel itself was nice and I always love the breakfast. Thanks for all your help Jessica.

This is a review of the experience I had with Holiday Inn Austin South. On the intersection of E Stassney Ln and Mira Dr, it is not too difficult to find; it is located right across from Chase bank. Booked a room online the day prior and arrived to be greeted by two happy agents. Jessica, one of the managers, was especially welcoming and made sure that my stay was no less than extraordinary and accommodated my late checkout. Though we found out the room had some stains on the bed, the agent helped us upgraded to a different room quickly; great experience. Though there were some bugs in the pool, it was quite a nice heated pool and we definitely enjoyed it while we were there. Parking is complimentary and is quite easy to find. The lot surrounds the hotel and there're usually plenty of parking spots. Room comes with a flat screen TV, a mini fridge, small microwave, a safe, in addition to a small office desk plus small 2-searter sofa. Breakfast came with the reservation on my booking deal, which was a decent buffet. Got yogurt, bagels, toast, eggs and good ol' coffee. Because of Jessica and the great customer service, I will definitely return to this location in the future. Keep up the good work Holiday Inn Austin S!

We had a great experience staying here over the Labor Day weekend with 3 other families. The rooms were clean, breakfast area was nice and Jessica, the Operations Manager was fantastic.

I was apprehensive about the whole pet in the room thing as one Rep said a pet can be in any room. However when we checked in this one Rep said service animals are on the 1st floor which I thought was the norm. See what happens when people don't know the rules in their workplace. Anyway they cannot know when an idiot will bring a pet to the room not designated to pets. So we got a room on the 2nd room ,it was ok and no big allergy attack ,I do however think a better job at cleaning the carpets is necessary. The plus in this is the Breakfast ,on Thanksgiving day, the supervisor I believe was on the floor doing the breakfast and the service and food were very good. I would stay at this hotel again when visiting relatives

We stopped in Austin On our way to Houston for my Bachelor party. We didn’t even arrive until almost 11 PM and shortly after we went out to start off the bachelor party. We Uber it out and Uber back to the hotel just in time to catch two men trying to steal our trailer with our ATV. The two guys who had dismantled my truck and were attempting to steal my trailer took off running as we approached. We immediately got in touch with the front desk staff for assistance and what we needed to do to make a report. The front desk staff said “That is not our problem. We are not responsible for what happens on the parking lot.” I requested to speak to the manager but I was told instead “ you just need to go to sleep“. This in itself was very suspicious. After arguing with the front desk staff we were finally told “There is nothing I personally can do tonight he will have to speak with the manager in the morning“. We were able to move our truck(that had the transmission unhooked) under the awning in front of the front door. Two of my groomsmen and myself slept in the truck to make sure that it will not be stolen or attempted to be stolen a second time. We were woken early the next morning by a homeless woman helping herself to our bottles of champagne, energy drinks, and Gatorade while sitting inside of my ATV. She had tried to get inside of the truck but was unsuccessful, and instead made herself comfortable in the front seat of my ATV. She was asked to remove herself from our ATV and she promptly told us “no”. We were told that security would be running the premises as well as the local police however I find is untrue because we had to threaten the woman to get out and we had to call for help from the front desk to get her out. We have asked numerous times for a refund for this night, we have not had any response from the general manager who has promised to call us back. I have made numerous phone calls to the hotel to allow for them to try to make the situation right however many people have told us “ if it happens in the parking lot it is not our problem“. It has been a total nightmare and all I wanted was my money back for the room that our guys did not even get to stay in because we were so concerned about our belongings being stolen. I hope this doesn’t happen to anyone else because had our trailer an ATV actually been stolen, it would’ve been only our problem and the hotel would show no sympathy. The only front desk person who is any help at all or showed any compassion was Jordan.

At first the morning was pretty tough. A lot of miscommunication when booking the room online. That I won’t get into. However, Jessica at front desk was so very helpful!! She helped us check in early and when we had an issue she immediately got it fixed. Jessica is clearly a very hard worker and does what she can to help the customers. If we hadn’t met such a good lady I wouldn’t have enjoyed my stay. So thank you Jessica for helping us out and for your great work! These stars are for you 💗

It was mostly good. The room was spacious, about 100% clean and it had all the basic amenities. What dings this location is a few things: The check-in was odd, which included having to put information down on a form, which should be handled by a computer - email, phone number, etc. The reservation has this info, but this need form needed to be filled out as well. Seemed peculiar in 2022. Ice machine is only on one floor. This could be because of the design of the hotel, but having to go down and up for ice is mildly inconvenient. Would be nice if there was one on all floors instead of just one. The fitness center needs some TLC. The wipes were empty. The hand sanitizer stations were empty. No towels inside to use. Missing a 15lb, 20s and probably 40s. It might not get too busy in there, but in case more than one person uses the weights, more than one adjustable bench chair is needed. Also, it gets hot in there in the middle of the summer, and there's no way to control the temp. The Dove bar at the sink is not good for handwashing. It doesn't lather at all and doubt it does any real cleaning. Overall not a bad hotel, but just some odds and ends things that could be remedied to make it just *that* much better.

Well maintained hotel in a seemingly safe part of Austin, rooms were clean, breakfast was very good, loved the body soap, shampoo, conditioner dispensers and K cup coffee in the rooms. No complaints on this stay at all ! The only thing that would have made the stay anymore perfect would be USB chargers in the rooms!

We do not stay in hotels often at all, but when we have, we stay at Holiday Inn Express. The rooms are clean and comfortable, they have breakfast, and HAD a good discount for military and veterans. NO LONGER. VETERANS ARE NO LONGER INCLUDED in the MILITARY DISCOUNT! I am sad and angry. We may not have stayed in a HIE in 2 years. I am a member of the program to collect points, and have stayed for free a number of times in the past. I wish we had been updated when this took place OR when I asked for the military discount when I booked the room by phone to the HIE we stayed in. Of course, we were not allowed to cancel our reservation when we arrived, as they were very strict about having to cancel a reservation 24 hours in advance!

Danielle and Jessica make this hotel worth visiting! Excellent service and attention to detail. Greeted me quickly and helped me switch rooms to a higher floor. Whenever I am visiting family in Austin, I will stay here where I feel welcomed.

This hotel is an excellent value. Good size room, walk in shower, clean, hot breakfast, gym, washer/dryer, pool. All staff members were very friendly and accommodating. Jessica, the manager, is outstanding.

Great customer service. One of the people in my party accidentally left luggage in the room and we were charged a half day rate for late checkout, but I called later and they reversed the charge for me. Very kind to this courtesy since it was an honest mistake.

IN RESPONSE TO HOTELS REPLY: that is the same canned response you give to every bad review and does nothing to remedy the situation. Do you even read reviews or just comment the exact same thing to anything bad? First room had left over food still in the fridge and some thing like small liquid/oil drops on the nightstand. If they didn't wipe down the night stand, or open the fridge to see old food, who should I trust sheets were changed and not just straightened? Was moved to "the only other room they had" and there was a dead cockroach outside in the hallway. A/C was passable but not great for Texas and the room was not cleaned once during a 4 days stay. I called the front desk multiple times during my stay about issues and always got a busy signal/no answer. I was there on a work trip and it was the only close option, slammed schedule and did not have time to go wait to talk to the front desk. I called off and on for over an hour the last night to request a wake up call, never had anyone pick up. Very poor experience from someone who has stayed at IGH/Holiday Inns her whole life. IN RESPONSE TO HOTELS REPLY: that is the same canned response to give to every bad review and does nothing to remedy the situation.

The first room we were put in wasn't cleaned, and one of the beds was broken. They said they didn't have maintenance at the time. The second room the toilet clogged and I told the front desk in the morning when we left for the day. We came back that evening to the toilet still clogged. I went back to the desk and was told, on a Saturday, they didn't have maintenance but they had a plunger I could use. So I had to unclog the toilet myself. Out of all the hotels we have stayed at across the country this was by far the worst. They were unapologetic and seemed to not care. I asked about the corporate email and was told they didn't have one.
