I stayed here last weekend for two nights. This is the worst experience I’ve ever had at a hotel and I would caution everyone to STAY AWAY from this place. Especially after reading other reviews, they are clearly in the practice of taking advantage of their customers. This is our experience: After being out for a few hours, we returned to the hotel and noticed that our room smelled like smoke. Before we could even take our shoes off and settle in, the front desk lady, BARGES into our room. And let’s be clear, they DID NOT knock and notify us in any way that they were entering our room before they came through the door (after looking into hotel laws, I will note that this is also an ILLEGAL action by hotel staff in this scenario). We were immediately rudely accused of smoking in our room. We assured the management that we were not smoking in the room and that we had just gotten there. We thought the situation was resolved. Then at about 1am in the morning, we woke up to POUNDING on the door and another accusation of smoking in the room. Let’s be clear that there was no smoking of any kind at any time in the room. There was also no evidence that we were smoking in the room, and we even insisted that the owner check our suitcases, the room, our car for any evidence of smoking. WE ARE NOT SMOKERS. The owner refused to hear our side or pay attention to clear evidence that we were not smoking in the room. We continued our stay, only to check out and receive more than $500 in fees for smoking in the room.We have been back to the hotel twice after our stay to try to get this sorted out and we are consistently told that the manager is not in and we will be contacted later. On one visit, an employee even told us that they found out it was the room next to ours that was smoking. Unsurprisingly, we have not heard anything from the manager. This is completely unacceptable by this hotel’s management. Not only was our stay interrupted rudely, and illegally, twice by hotel staff, but we have been taken advantage of with absurd, baseless fees with NO evidence, and a clear admission from an employee that they know we were not smoking in the room. I will just end by saying, beware of this hotel and its management. I will edit this post if I ever hear back from the hotel and they decide to make this situation right, otherwise I would advise you to stay away from this place.

I stayed here 2 weeks ago for a 2 week duration. The second weekend. I came to the front desk and asked if I could pay for the second week once. I returned from work or if I needed to pay for it that morning. I was told that I could wait till that evening so I went to work when I came back. My room was packed up and put onto a cart. Upon pulling all my stuff off my cart and speak into the front desk later that night. I realized my laptop no longer worked. I spoke to the front desk. We were supposed to get a refund for the whole week. I never received my refund or the incidentals from the week before and had to get ahold of corporate to even get any answer. That was a good answer about the situation that was going on. Because staff just wanted to push it underneath the carpet. I am wondering what's going on with my refund. Don't trust this place at all.

Was looking at all the hotels under this price point and was not satisfied with reviews. Very happy that we went with this hotel and spent the extra money. The people were great the rooms were clean and the location is pretty solid. No gas station in walking distance but that honestly wasn't an issue. Asked for antacids and the guy behind the counter gave me like 4 little packs. Great place will stay again.

When I arrived , the staff was very friendly but they ran out of key cards for the room. So it was quite inconvenient to have to leave my room and wait for staff to walk me back and forth to open the door and unsafe as well. Rooms were definitely worn out! Needs a major update!

Absolutely terrible experience. We paid when we arrived. We paid the stay amount and the deposit and payment was taken out. As we checked out this morning on my account few minutes later appear 2 additional chargers for almost $200. So why additional payments were made on my card because some one does not know what they're doing. So I'm told now I have to wait 8-10 days to get my funds returned. The front desk gave me no clarification or understanding on why this occured. Never will we stay here again. The room carpet was disgusting and stain. Also the blankets had stains. TV was bad. No signal or reception. Barely ant working channels. Attention and Resolution needs to take place on my card immediately. The error was your part through your employee and branch. Fix it.

The room was great. Loved that there was a sitting area. The night desk person was awesome. Helped us get the hotel's pack n play set up, helped with getting in when I was a zombie, and was just generally nice. Continental breakfast was yummy too. Better stocked than most I've been to.

First the hotel is in a safe area, and there are two nearby restaurants which is great. The rooms are good, but the lights and the outlets needs routine check up ( a couple outlets were not working) The rooms were clean, however the toilet is a bit small to be honest for a king room. Overall I loved the stay, and would do that again

The worst! Stayed in this hotel when it was a Hyatt it was great. Only 1 elevator was working so it was a long wait upstairs. Arrived at 5 o'clock on Saturday afternoon to check in waited with 2 other guest in lobby for 20 minutes for clerk to out of backroom. No breakfast bar, no restaurant, and no bar. Very little security and the area and elevator was dirty and never cleaned while there. They finally after days of our stay cleaned the room. When we checked out no than you just put the key in the box.if you want to be motel 6 you are successful.

It’s not bad but not the worse but def can justify the 100+ bucks I spent for it. Plenty of parking in a decent safe area. Staff was great! Lobby is nice and clean. Room was big and spacious and ac was super cold but the room had a smoky smell even though we asked for non smoking. So that smell lingered for a bit. Other than that no complaints what to sever! Would def stay here again. The toilet and bathroom door is a little weird but it’s nothing huge to complain about.

The location is great. 15 or less minutes to where you want to go. The room was spacious and clean. 2nd floor had so much humidity n a wet smoky smell, No microwave tho. They have ice bucket, and ice machine. The pool was a bit dirty from the tile. Needs Maintenance. Room was nice though!

We stayed at Somesta Select Austin North for four nights. The hotel was clean and the location was great. We had an issue with our key card not working and the staff quickly resolved it. The only downside was the lack of housekeeping. We never had our room cleaned. We asked to have our room cleaned and was told they only clean after seven nights. Also the lady who checked us in was rude.

My daughters first stay away from home,And we were pleased they had exactly what she was wanting. BUT NO FREE BREAKFAST??!! But pet friendly and newly remodeled. Very clean. All was well till the little freeze. My daughter was there with her friend we were over 100 miles away, and called to see if we could pay for an extra night and were told she had to pay with her card that was tapped out! When I asked if they would be safe and stay till roads cleared up she said they'd be thrown out! Policy she said! I said when did policy trump Humanity!? She hung up!! Nice place just watch out for desk help Cindy. Thanks to everyone else tho. Excellent job to all the other staff members.

Not the worst but not the best. TV was old and had issues overall. Carpet was ripped up by the bathroom. The room was very humid which made the sheets feel wet and uncomfortable at night. The room itself was large and spacious but the bathroom was quite small. I think the rooms are dated and in need of some renovations for sure!

The workers are nice but the service itself is terrible, you have to get all your towels and toilet paper yourself, you have to pay for a breakfast bag, there's no microwave in our room so I have to go to the office to warm up my food. There's just so many inconveniences for such a pricey hotel... I couldn't even get a trash bag, everyday I have to ask for everything myself until the fourth day ,they don't stock the pool towels it's just bad ownership, not how you run a hotel

The hotel is in pretty good condition. The beds are comfortable and it’s nice to have the seating area. The air conditioning worked great. Our room had a mini fridge and bar area. The extended continental breakfast is good and helps save a few bucks. The elevator is old and slow, but a replacement is coming. My only complaint is housekeeping did not clean the countertops or vacuum the floor when I asked for my room to be cleaned. Also, they allow trash to pile up near the elevator where it stays all night until the following afternoon. The pool is a nice addition. I would stay there again

Overall it's a nice hotel. It is older but well kept with one exception being the elevator. It shows it's age. I can see why some reviews mention this. The staff was very nice and the room was clean and comfortable. It had to a large sitting area with a sofa. Ice cold air conditioning to battle the summer heat was turned on ahead of time.

Although the room size was big, design could have been better. Toilet bowl was right at the door and they had to slant it for the door to close. But most horrible and unbearable for the foul smell on the second floor. We had to hold our breath until we got in to our room. Elevators were not clean either and overall, i didn’t expect this for the price I paid. No microwave either and no breakfast. Luckily we were only spending one night. However the lady at the reception was great, very polite and professional. Hotel itself could do a lot better.

I dont feel safe here at this hotel, the tv doesn’t work, the windows can be opened from the outside and I dont feel safe at all. I asked for another room and she told me all the rooms are like that. The photos online vs. the inside are deceiving. I wish I could leave and find another hotel but I’m here for work. I also have ants everywhere in my room all of the bed and bathroom

I had an incredible stay at Sonesta Select Austin North that I just have to share. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warmth and hospitality that set the tone for my entire experience. The hotel's commitment to cleanliness and attention to detail caught my eye immediately. The rooms and common areas were impeccably maintained, reflecting the staff's dedication to creating a comfortable and inviting environment for guests. Speaking of the staff, their service was exceptional. The location is another standout feature, allowing me to make the most of my stay. I'm a remote worker and in between housing, and Sonesta Select Austin North has been beyond fantastic. EDIT: A month and a half later and am still enjoying my stay here. It's really quiet and peaceful, and the rate has helped me out a lot. Great staff here as well, and loving the breakfast.

We stayed here before when it was owned by another chain. The rooms are big and nicely furnished with a desk, sectional sofa, wet bar, microwave, mini fridge and beds, of course, with awesome pillows. The front desk was manned by a super friendly lady when I checked in, however, she wasn't there again during the 3 day stay. The other two ladies at the front desk during our stay were not at all friendly. I was very disappointed. They were curt, once even skirting the boundaries of rudeness. Luckily, we didn't really need to interact with them often. The free breakfast was nothing like it was when owned by the other chain. Our choices were instant packaged oatmeal, frozen waffles, hard boiled eggs and cold cereal. Nothing was individually wrapped except the instant oatmeal. The milk for the cereal was from a communal pitcher. There was coffee and juice but no tea and when I asked for hot water and a tea bag I was told that tea wasn't available. We will stay there again only for the comfort of the bedding.
