Worst experience ever at a hotel. Couldn't get checked in until almost 7pm. The room was dirty. Sticky floor with small paper all over. Their was a lot of trash in the closet with the previous guests name and address, dirty towels in the closet, dirty bedding, and dirty shower (false eyelashes in shower). We had to clean our own room and change our own bedding as they had no housekeeping. They said they would comp one night, then finally agreed to complete 2 nights. Still feel that is not enough since we paid $475 a night for a suite. Would not return to this hotel. Overall dirty, poor customer service, and lack of empathy.

I am currently staying at this hotel. In general it's not bad, but the breakfast could be definitely better. It's been 3 days and I am already bored of it. There are two types of breakfasts rotating on and on... No vegetables, no cheese, nor ham. I am staying here for 2 weeks more and I am gonna eat either pancakes or scrambled eggs. It really wouldn't take much to think of something more creative. If you stay 1-2 days here it's ok, but for a longer stay I am glad I have a fridge in my room. @update I appreciate the vouchers for the breakfast. Best regards

I travel to Austin monthly for business. The staff at Element, Nichi, Larissa, and Mathew, always make me feel like I am coming home. The rooms are nice and most of all clean. The view is not so good since it is located downtown. There are snacks, healthy and non-healthy available for purchase in the lobby along with infused refreshing water. If you forget a toothbrush, just ask and they will be happy to help you. The bathrooms include a soap dispenser in the shower. So far, all of the rooms that I have stayed in were roomy, clean and included everything I needed for the stay. I recommend this facility.

Christine took wonder care of us! I messed up my reservation on a third-party app, and she was able to get us an extra night in our room, which was incredibly helpful and kind. Overall, the hotel is great. The location is perfect and the rooms are spacious, and the bed is comfy. Definitely recommend!!

This is our 2nd stay at this hotel and we really like it. Love the location, the staff is very nice and accommodations are clean and nice. The complimentary breakfast is really great too. First time here they were making fresh pancakes with all the toppings and today we enjoyed fresh breakfast tacos. Tandie was our breakfast attendant today and she was fabulous. She went above and beyond to help make the start of our day great! We will be back! Side note, there is a really cool bar, Upstairs at Caroline in the same building that has light food, great drinks and a fun atmosphere.

I loved the stay here and I loved being so close to the Caroline. My ONLY complaints were that there wasn't ANY meat during breakfast. The avocado toast was delicious but paying $250 for a night and not having a meat selection was weird. I have an issue paying $55 for valet as well, I recommend self parking because in this economy that's OUTRAGEOUS. Other than that decent stay, and quaint room.

I liked the place. Complimentary breakfast is pretty good. You can borrow bikes which is great. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Christine treated me well and had a positive attitude. Gave me all the information I needed and more. Excellent service.

Christine was lovely! She offered my brother and I hot towels not knowing that my hands were freezing! Very thoughtful of her. hotel staff was so nice and helpful. Very clean. Recommend staying here. Valet staff were also great. Service was phenomenal!

Staff is courteous. Management does reach out to guests to apologize when problems arise. Good experience overall. Comfortable bed. Clean bathroom. Location convenient but noisy, but its downtown Austin after all so one cannot have it all. Quality/price not the best out there hearing from others staying at other hotels nearby.

We enjoyed our stay at the Element. Christine at the counter was amazing, super friendly and really helpful. The only complaint about the room was the lack of any drawers for placing clothing in. We were there for 6 nights and it would have been nice to not live out of suitcases for that long. Otherwise it was a great room and excellent experience.

I stayed at Element for 30 consecutive days and was truly surprised and amazed by the experience and service. The king bedroom w/ kitchen has the items needed to cook simple meals and it's great to avoid high eating out costs. The gym is small but decent. Breakfast is good too. Hotel room was not loud and with *great* black out curtains, allowing for good sleep. Location is perfect for downtown-business. The front desk team and management team were amazing. I felt welcomed and cared for. Truly appreciate the smiles and service from Christine and Neal at the front desk. Mercedes was also absolutely great!! She consistently communicated with me via email to check in on my needs, cleaning schedules and to assist with any issues that arose. The teams here really excelled in service, highly recommend it.

Service, location and cleanliness of room were all top notch. Slight downgrade for hard mattress and high price, but couldn’t give 4.5 stars. City noise was a bit much, but the room included a white noise device that helped a lot. Overall, very good. Christine at the front desk was terrific, as was the staff serving breakfast! Thank you all

I really enjoyed my three night stay at the Element hotel. Each of the staff members that I had an interaction with was above and beyond amazing. Especially Christine. She was so welcoming and her attitude just puts a smile on your face. I was over the top happy with my stay, and if I visit again I would stay here in a heartbeat. The only thing I wish they had was a swimming pool. 😉 Other than that, the room was everything I wanted. A+ stay

I had a lovely 5 nights at the Element hotel. The rooms are modern, clean, and have all the commodities you might need (including a kitchenette, fridge, dishwasher, iron and hairdryer). Location was great, right in the middle of Downtown and close to all the amenities. Christine in reception was extremely helpful and happy to answer all my questions with a big smile. Great experience, I would highly recommend.

Really nice stay here for 5 nights. Great location right downtown, easily walkable to good food and attractions. The breakfast in the morning was really good, with a few items made to order, as well as a good selection of pastries, toasts, cereals, and juices. Christine at the front desk and the housekeeping staff were so friendly and helpful, and made sure we had a nice stay. We’ll definitely stay here again when we’re back in town!

Loved this hotel for a stay after a concert. It is away from the craziness of 6th St. Lovely views of downtown. Enjoyed the hot eucalyptus towel and chocolate at check-in. During the week, there's a complimentary happy hour and tea time. Breakfast is also free. Clean, modern rims with a small kitchen area. Nice beds.

It was fine. Room was comfortable. Nice view. Although the layout of the Room is very strange. The bathroom is as soon as you open the front door, with no actual bathroom door for privacy. Camille, at the front desk, made us feel welcome and comfortable. I would stay here again.

Room was large, bed and pillows were excellent, AC was great! In addition, after a very long day of traveling, Laura-Claire assisted me with my check in and could not have been more pleasant and accommodating. Exceptional service and hospitality! Will absolutely be staying here again!

I am really loving this hotel! I’m staying in Element Downtown Austin- the room is perfect! Great space, perfect small kitchenette, big, well lit bathroom with super soft and super absorbent towels, the bed & pillows and bedding are to die for- I could sleep forever! The device and staff are lovely and accommodating! Coffee bar and Caroline’s restaurant are great & convenient. Location is perfect. Love the wine & cheese “happy hour” amenity. Just really a perfect stay! Every hotel should be like this ! I’ll be back!

Location is great. Restaurant in the hotel is good and the complimentary breakfast and happy hour were nice additions. Our shower in our room flooded every time we took a shower. There was 2 inches of water on the floor the whole time so we had to wear sandals so we didn’t slip and fall. Had to order towels every day to clean up the mess. No long mirror in the room. The bar sink was clearly connected to the shower because it would fill up every time we were in the shower. Downtown Austin, is probably not a place you want to be at night but coming back to the hotel there were a number of homeless people in front asking for money etc. Would likely stay somewhere else next time I visited.

Element Austin Downtown is one of the best hotels I’ve ever been privileged enough to stay at! I have been here for the last three weeks and am having such a wonderful experience! Every staff member I encounter, from the valet to the front desk, to the cleaning staff, is delightful and eager to help! Laura (front desk) is always the highlight of my day! She is AWESOME and has made the hotel feel like a home away from home!

just OK. When I arrived with lots of luggage, the valets had no carts for taking my bags. They did help me haul my bags to the front desk (on the third floor), but I was on my own after that. Complimentary breakfast was worth what we paid for it. Dollar pancakes were hard and cold. The servers who are managing the area have to walk in and out of a door that loudly bangs when it shuts (not the server's fault...it is a very heavy door but regularly disturbs guests who are eating). The people here are nice, and the room was clean enough. The hotel is sufficient, but I will choose a different hotel next time.

Great location for a discount type hotel. Only thing missing was an exhaust fan in the bathroom for the after shower cooldown and mirror defog among other things. Otherwise, the room was well equipped with the normal amenities and there was ample space for a couple. The bed was just right for my back!

Let me start with Lauren-Claire what a rock star. She helped us in every possible way. We have absolutely loved our stay here. They were able to accommodate us last minute. The rooms were super clean and in great shape. The entire staff was really great. The location was so convenient for ACL Fest. If you’re looking for a sign this is it STAY HERE.
