Warning - read your booking EXTRA closely. A large portion of this hotel has shared bathrooms!!! (Yes like a hostel) I was very displeased with my recent stay here. I lived in East Austin a number of years and frequented the balcony bar often (which is super cute), but never stayed here until a recent visit back to town. I relooked at my reservation and the bathroom explanation is fine print and not obvious. The shared bathrooms were hostel like and were not well maintained. I tried a couple of the stalls and while they are private and do lock, they were dirty and not cleaned often. They provide men’s and women’s USED shower shoes in your room which was also gross and dated stained towels. The carpet in the rooms are so disgusting I didn’t take my socks or shoes off during my stay and there was so much dust on the counter top of the desk it looked like it has not been cleaned in a very long time. The walls are paper thing both to other rooms and to the street. While the public spaces in this hotel are cute, this was a horrendous stay for me as I could not sleep. I think it’s important for others to know what you’re getting into if you stay here. I’m not going back.

My friend and I very much enjoyed our stay here. The location was awesome and of great distance to everything, very much a walkable location. Our room came with two robes and two pair of shower shoes. We definitely thought that was sweet. We want to say that the house keepers were awesome ( especially Maria) . The staff were genuinely nice and helpful. This trip to Austin was one for the books and we really appreciate the hospitality!!!

We got the cabin room here for one night for a great price in a very active and central downtown location. Lots of restaurants and shops within walking distance. The beds were comfortable and the room very clean. The style of this place is very aesthetically pleasing. My only complaints for the cabin rooms specifically: water pressure in the shower we used was pathetic. It sounded like tiny mouths spitting on your head and barely produced enough water to really get washed. Also, the AC unit in our room was temperamental. It didn't actually cool the room until we were leaving the next morning. Regardless, this spot is fantastic for travellers who want to be in the middle of it all and enjoy hip local hotels over the big chain hotels. Just be prepared that the cabins are like fancy hostels with dorm style bathrooms and that the central location is noisey until the noise ordinance kicks in at 10:30pm. So pick this spot if you don't need to lounge around the hotel and want to be out and about in this lively and eclectic city! We'll be back!

No recommend. This hotel is a fraud, I paid more than 200 dollars for a regular room with bathroom, the room for 103 dollars does not include a bathroom. In total almost 400 dollars for one night. Deposit of 150 and parking for 36 dollars. With this price, take a way better hotel. You can hear everything they do in alternate rooms and you can hear footsteps from the room above. The receptionist guy said he had a better room with bathroom and balcony but he didn't, when I asked him he said he was confused but if I wanted he could do another upgrade for 250 dollars. Too many lies in a short time and the worst thing is that you cannot cancel or they will keep the money. Austin's worst experience. Look for another hotel this is not a good one for sure.

If I could give this place -10, I would. Booked our board meeting here. Not only did their Wifi not work, their laundry was right above the meeting space. It sounded like a helicopter was above us. Once brought up to the hotels' catering manager, she responded with "No one has ever complained before." The reason for the 1 star is because they accommodated in omitting laundry until we were done. They charged over $350 for a continental breakfast that they NEVER replenished, when the contract called for it. They were missing items in the menu that I had to point out. The conference phone/speaker doesn't work. They charged us for the "Click and play" that also never worked due to the lack of Wifi. We had to carry our board meeting on one of our board members hotspot as regular cell service was nonexistent. Once confronted, they gave us a discount of $200, but after 4x of adjusting the contract, we somehow paid $200 more than what it was supposed to be. STAY AWAY!

Terrible! Noisy! Hotel is located near bars and clubs with no sound isolation at all! People stay in the street with hi power bass sound systems in their cars until 2AM kicking the bass out loud. Impossible to sleep. Miss clearness and the furniture seems made of paper. I have seat in a room chair and it simply broke taking me to the ground! I’m 6 feet 185 pounds, it not suppose to happen. The area is crowded of homeless in the sidewalks. It is really not the place to be. Feels like an USD50,00 night Motel not USD 385,00/nigh as charged for a cabin with no bathroom. This is another point. When you book this hotel pay attention. Not every room have a bathroom. And they say it in a very shy way on room description. We supposed to stay 5 nights, only one was enough to get out of there.

Nice hotel, but I didn't read the description. I booked a cabin & when I got to the room I noticed it was just a room with no bathroom, the Cabins have shared bathrooms. They are nice bathrooms & very clean but I need my own bathroom. So I had to upgrade my room with a bathroom. Ended up spending over $800 for 2 nights & parking. It's a nice place but I wasn't looking to spend that much for 2 nights. So I probably won't be back.

I was searching for an affordable but also cute hip hotel to stay at in Austin for a night. Fortunately from either were plenty to choose from but the East Austin hotel kept coming up for good reviews. I was able to book a reservation for under $120, but as I was checking in I realized that I’ve booked a room that didn’t come with the bathroom and only had a shared bathroom. The girls at the front desk were able to change me to another room upgrade where I had a huge bathroom all to myself, like a normal hotel room. I liked this hotel because it was very clean, current, lots of options to eat on property and in the nearby neighborhood. It’s very walkable and there’s a Whole Foods and target within blocks. The staff at the front desk were very nice, happy to answer any questions for me. The only thing that was a little bit concerning, is that they leave the front gate open, which can be controlled with your key card. So while I was staying there in the middle of the day there was this guy that was kind of looming around and he freaked me out a little bit. I called the front desk and they said they were going to handle it immediately. I did not it was a great stay, and I have no other suggestions.

The hotel is close to Downtown and also in walking distance to great restaurants and bars. The hotel itself was very welcoming! Staff was awesome… front desk, housekeepers, food and beverage staff, engineers. Thanks Maria for keeping our room tidy and stocked fresh towels. Food and drinks are amazing! Second bar and kitchen we love…. thanks to the chefs behind the scenes your food was always impressive. Shout out to Becca for great leadership and management skills, also Ben great bartender very attentive and good conversation. Two other bartenders that were also great sorry can’t remember names girl with the cool glasses and Emily/Skyler? There were so many other employees names I would like to mention but every employee we came in contact with was pleasant and helpful. Thank you for a memorable and pleasant stay. I would definitely return.

East Austin Hotel is a cute place! Nice interior decorations. Front desk staff need some training. When we checked in and were given the keys to our room, the front desk person announced our room number along w directions to our room out loud for all to hear. Safety concern! When we came to the office to check out, no one was at front desk. We waited for 5 or so minutes. Observed the 1 front desk person exit the bathroom and walk to the back office. Finally comes to the front to get us checked out. He gave us our receipt and that was it. No questions about how we enjoyed our stay? Think of the risk to you that we would take something and leave in the 5 minutes we were alone in the front reception area. Think of the perception that you aren’t buttoned up with sufficient staff to take care of your guests. For the price we paid for the stay and the idea that you are a boutique hotel, I expected better.

Dude.Talk about a breath of fresh air. Really quirky and fun space that is affordable. Austin hotels are REALLY feeling themselves and it's not cute. I stayed in a cabin room which I was a little unsure of. Don't be. The bathrooms were always empty and extremely clean. The room had everything I wanted and the bed was comfy. Looking forward to trying out the bar, food and pool next time I'm there. Only cons are that the parking garage is a tiny bit creepy and the cabins are impossible to find without assistance. 100% worth it.

This is a REALLY cute Hotel. I do read before I book, so I was aware there were some rooms that share a bathroom and others that do not - so I could ask accordingly. They have a parking garage which really made me happy, I'm horrible with street parking and don't trust it. The lobby feels like a cute little shop and I even noted the cat food and water bowl outside. I appreciate taking care of ferals as I do so myself! The room was the first floor but had a high ceiling so it never felt too small. The view was . . . well, it was a stone wall but I didn't come for the view out of the Hotel anyway. I loved the open divider in the room to split from the bedroom to the shower, and that there were sandals offered and a robe. BEST OF ALL though? The bed was COMFORTABLE. Even the pillows. I have stayed in 4-Star's with beds that ruined my back and made me question why I paid what I paid. Not here. My ONLY gripe is the top blanket of the bedding which is a sort of semi-heavy "quilt". I prefer a pillowy comforter, this was a tad stiff and hard to move around under. But it didn't kill the visit for me. DO NOTE: There is music playing in the pool area until 11 PM. If you are trying to sleep BEFORE that better bring earplugs.

I won a trip to Austin on a game show here in LA, and boy am I glad I was sent to the East Austin Hotel. Everything there is top notch: the room, the pool, the food, the service, everything! Noemi and Jessica in the restaurant were particularly awesome. There is so much to do walking distance of the hotel, there's no way you could get bored. 10/10

Loved it. Different experience. Change your expectations, no valet or concierge, European type vibe. Restaurant is the best food I’ve had in a long time! Freaky neighborhood but you relax and will like it!

Spectacular hotel! Beautiful rooms, clean, affordable, and great customer service. We stayed in the cabins and had no issue with the hall bathrooms. Walkable to many bars/stores/parks. Facilities are gorgeous, and the restaurant and bar were incredible. What more could you want?

It's in a nice location. It's a decent little hotel but for the price they're charging it's a little bit too much. The rooms are decent. The beds are very comfortable. Really no place is comfortable to sit in the room. The shower was pretty nice but, it did leak onto the floor and you had to use your towel to clean it up every time you get out of the shower. I know this isn't the case for every room. The TVs are not smart TVs. So you cannot cast from your phone to the TV. The Wi-Fi was very weak. There are locations right outside the door and across the street to eat at. The people at the front desk are really nice and helpful. They have a restaurant in the hotel and a lounge for grant people were having fun

Last week, we had yet another wonderful experience at East Austin Hotel. Each time we stay, we are overwhelmed with the sense of welcome and comfort we get when interacting with the staff, from the front desk to the folks at the restaurant and bar to the management and everyone else we encounter. Fantastic downtown location in a vibrant setting, comfortable and modern rooms with a fun aesthetic, easy covered and safe parking ... I think it's my favorite place to stay in Austin these days.

The pool area was amazing with great staff and service. Grace at the front desk was especially helpful and pleasant. The room did not have it's own bathroom which was a bit inconvenient but Grace and the other staff members made up for it.

Currently 2 AM and the sound of street vendors blasting music is pumping into my room at this hotel. Room also smells musty and the tv is broken I’ve never written a google review before and have had such a bad experience I want to make sure others dont pay money for this. I’ve stayed in nicer $50 hostels No elevators, bathrooms are a nightmare. Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. No idea how this place has so many good reviews. Do not stay here

Awesome hotel. Stayed in the cabins with shared bathrooms. Easy Lyft ride from the airport and walking distance, if you can handle the heat, of many major attractions. AC kept the room ice cold. Did get a bit noisy at night but nothing too outrageous. A fair bit of street noise as well. But nothing outrageous either. Plenty of great food options within blocks of the hotel. Cannot beat the price either. Would definitely stay here if I ever come back to Austin.

This hotel is located in an ideal spot Outside the main busy area of 6th street. The layout reminds me of an old Miami Oceanside setup. It's projecting a bohemian/ocean avenue vibe. Kinda love it. At night there are delicious food trucks on the street; so don't worry about going too far for a late night snack after coming back from dirty 6th. The room and bathroom were immaculate. And the pool, even though it was too cold during my stay, was a great spot to chill after coming home at night. All in all great location. Very clean. Hip. And fantastic vibe.

The worst hotel I’ve personally ever stayed at. The room had broken lights, no natural lighting and looked a bit like a dungeon. When I called concierge to let them know, there were no solutions made. The pool restaurant had messed up my order when we first arrived which I understand mistakes happen but the way it was handled was very rough. I was told by the front desk a manager would be reaching out but by the time I checked out, I still hadn’t heard from anyone. I got an email the day after I checked out offering a “free breakfast”…over 24hrs after I had left the hotel and went elsewhere. The hotel is cute for the pink aesthetics and good walking location to everything but don’t expect good customer service.

Price seemed too good to be true, and it was. Turns out the room we got was a bedroom only- shared bathrooms down the hall. I’m sure the booking website said “bathroom not included” or whatever, but I never thought I’d have to check for that when booking a “hotel.” Super loud music playing by the pool on Saturday. The windows were shaking. I called the front desk and asked them to turn the music down, they said, “I’m sorry, we can’t, somebody paid to rent the pool for a private event.” I paid to rent my hotel room, but I guess that didn’t matter. They ended up offering us a “free” upgrade to a full room with a bathroom included, but secretly charged me for it anyway. This hotel is cute and charming in some ways but the customer service is TERRIBLE and it’s not worth the risk of losing sleep and money. Do not book unless you don’t care about either.

We stayed at the Cabins, Pet-friendly, got there with our Border collie. They have rooms numbered with letters, A to Z, few blocks from Franklin's Barbecue (the best Brisket in USA), a little bit loud at night, but you got a cozy room with warm lighting, amazing attention. Thera are 3 Restroom per floor for 10-13 rooms, a restaurant called second bar and kitchen, had dinner and breakfast and it's just amazing, great signature on the meals. For a Downtown hotel price is great, you got to pay for parking though, but still it's a great deal.

The location is perfect, there's a Target & Grocery store around the corner. All the famous 6th street bars and shops are just a short walk or scooter ride away. The rooms are cozy & clean. The pool was beautiful. A major plus they have under ground parking. The Hotel staff was very friendly as well. Next time we come to Austin downtown were staying here again. PS: it was easy on the wallet.

We’re literally already talking about coming back. Loved staying here. It’s fun and unique, and the bar is really fun and cool too. Tons of stuff to do within walking distance. I wasn’t expecting a lot because it was the lowest hotel price within a mile or two, but this will definitely be my number one choice when I come back to Austin regardless of price.

Stayed here for a weekend of concerts ! The hotel was so cute. Parking was easy. Every staff member I talked to was so nice and helpful. We stayed in the cabins which is as kinda apprehensive about but the bathrooms were always clean and open ! Was it loud on Saturday night ? Yes. It's Saturday night in Austin and you're downtown ! I guess I didn't mind but if you need quiet maybe bring earplugs ?

I want to say that the customer service here is really good. I forget the name of the man working overnights but he was especially helpful. I was really glad that they were able to accommodate a last minute schedule change. My airline made me very frazzled and miserable and the only highlight of my travel experience was the hotel and how easy it was to make the adjustment. The rooms themselves are very nice. They have very cute robes for use, breathable linens in the bed. I got the cabin with the community bathrooms. There was no issue with the fact of shared bathrooms, but a couple of problems were 1. The floors were always wet because the water is not contained in the shower and 2. Some of the toilet seats were broken. The toiletrie brand they have is amazing, I'm considering ordering some for home. Other points include location, how cute the lobby is, and pool. It's on the outskirts of downtown so you can walk pretty easily, and there are restaurants, grocery stores (incl. Whole foods and target) within a couple blocks. One of the nights I was here they had an indie band playing at the pool. Lastly, it's a good value. They don't charge an arm and a leg for the aforementioned quality.

Rooms are super boho cute! Service in restaurant and both bars was excellent! Down to earth, friendly, bartenders and staff. The pool was just right on a hot day. Left at 9am for breakfast, came back to room at 10:15am and it had already been cleaned. I'm most def staying here next time. Shout out Sebastian and the great ranch waters.

I can't even describe how amazing my stay here was. I must give a shout-out to Lindsay. She was working the night shift when we arrived. One of the ladies in our group is 7.5 months pregnant, and had just gotten off a 7 hour flight. Lindsay went above and beyond for us, making sure she was taken care of and comfortable. She also checked in later to make sure was comfortable with her accommodations. Also, everything was top notch, and we felt very cared for, but on Lindsay alone, we will be recommending this hotel to everyone we know, and anyone else in our company who comes to Austin for a stay.

The room, the pool, the robe are all great. The staff tho, was truly amazing! So kind. So friendly, so helpful. I travel all the time and never experienced this level of service. The bar and restaurant at the hotel are excellent and the executive chef makes sure you enjoyed everything you ordered.

My husband and I came to Austin on a last minute birthday trip from out of the state. We looked at a LOT of different hotels but ended up at the East Austin and we really enjoyed it. The rooms were super cute, clean, and the beds were super comfy (we normally hate hotel beds!) We loved the pool and spent a few hours in it a day. It's a smaller pool but we never felt bothered by too many people around - it seemed like a chill crowd. There was happy hour daily at the pool bar which was fun incentive to get drinks! The lobby has some cute goodies to take home and there was even sunscreen, sandals to wear to the pool, and cute robes available at the hotel for us. We stayed during a 105 temp week and our room was able to keep up with the AC, it never felt too hot when we went back. Staff was all friendly and parking was easy! On a side note: I am always really interested to hear if the staff actually enjoys their workplace or not. I think good work environments are crucial and two of the gals I talked to at the pool bar over the days just LOVED working here, loved the other staff + loved the management. It made me feel even better about staying there! Also easy access to most things in the city, we never drove more than 15 mins to where we wanted to go. In walking distance were a good amount of restaurants, bars + shopping! Thanks for the fun experience, we'll be back!
