We just checked out after a two day stay. It was perfect. The location was great as we were able to walk to the shopping and all eating. The staff was very friendly and helpful with everything we needed from needing an iron to check out. The pool was great escape from the Texas heat, and the nighttime areas were enjoyable to listen to the live music and sit in small areas to visit with friends. Hotel was very dog friendly. (Our only suggestion would be to provide shade umbrellas in the pool area because it there was very little shade.) We will definitely return to stay here again.

Our family with two kids stayed here over fourth of July. We had a really great time! We stayed in the standard double suite which was great because we were away from the pool area which has a party atmosphere in the evening. The kids loved the fires in the courtyard and the room was excellent. We enjoyed the fridge and snacks provided in the room and found the prices to be reasonable. While you can eat on site there are food trucks around so we tried a lot of different places to eat. They also had charging for our EV on site free of charge. We did the three night stay and it was perfect.

A very cool boutique hotel in a great location for our trip. Lots of wonderful spaces to hang out and socialize. Of course that was our one issue in that the location of our room was quite loud at night with people hanging out by the fire pits, so our plans for early to bed were a little tough. Can't blame folks for having a good time, but I'd make sure you ask for a room away from the fire pits if you need to get to bed early.

Cool concept. Great location near the Domain. We stayed here after 3 days at the Valencia Riverwalk in San Antonio. Our SA experience was incredible so we had high expectations. We visited on a weekday for two nights and found the service to be very absent and when we did see them they seemed annoyed we were there. The room was spacious and bathroom was perfect for a family. The beds were extremely uncomfortable. There were no events during our stay - the whole property had a hangover vibe so maybe it’s better to visit during the weekend when there is live music and the food trucks are open. At the price point I expected much more

A great idea ruined by the obsession with the theme. The courtyard in the middle is amazing -- fire pits, seating, cornhole, etc. But once you're in your room, things break down. The retro fridge suffers from the same problem old fridges did: freezing over and needing to be defrosted. The barn door on the bathroom is heavy and hard to move. And unlike every other hotel I've ever stayed in, the AC unit is shared. Everyone I spoke to in our group complained their room was stuffy / musty / humid. I'd be afraid how bad the rooms would get in the summer.

My stay was awesome! Room was super clean and organized, location is perfect for food and shopping. Pool was just perfect with the shade from the trees. Isn’t loud at all despite its location. Service was good. Definitely staying here again!

Very nice hotel and theme. Nice courtyard and easy parking. Staff was very friendly. Lots of smart and useful amenities. Very clean room and comfy beds. Been a long time since I've stayed as nice as this. Walkable to the Pickle Research Campus.

Service was the issue. We booked it for a wedding we're lots of people came from Canada. They wouldn't let us hang out in the courtyard talking around the fire pits after 10 pm! Why have fire pits and all these chairs if you can't use them! The manager threw this huge fit multiple times. Such a beautiful place we couldn't enjoy it.

My husband and I had a remarkable experience at Lone Star Court. The hotel manager was so accommodating and went above and beyond to provide great customer service to my husband and I. The location is very convenient to accessing the attractions within the Domain. We will most definitely be back to this hotel.

Our stay at Lone Star Court was fabulous! It has an old-time camping feel with luxury amenities, and although close to a TON of shops and restaurants, had everything we needed on site. We ate at the Water Trough restaurant for breakfast and lunch, and the room came stocked with a HUGE assortment of beverages and snacks (for a fee). We spent a lot of time at the pool and the property is very dog-friendly. Overall we had a great time and are already looking towards our next trip to Austin. Highly recommend!

The staff at the Lone Star Hotel was amazing to me. From the moment you check in, you'll be greeted with a friendly hello and a nice cold beer or water if you’re up for it. Brought my two dogs and was so happy this hotel is pet friendly. This is a great option for families or travelers who want to bring their furry friends along for the ride. I forgot their water bowl but the front desk was kind enough to not only let me borrow one but to also give me free breakfast since elevator was under maintenance. I enjoyed the live music at the bar, they open the garage so I was able to bring my dogs out again and had dinner by the pool while listening to good music. The location is perfect, they have food vendors right behind the hotel or your can always walk anywhere to The Domain since is so close by. Love the ambiance this Hotel has, a nice rustic decoration that will definitely make you feel you’re out there in the country. Everywhere I walked was very clean, they have an artificial turf section where you can play with your kids or outdoor games, you can even start your own fire pit at night. Overall, this is my first 5 out 5 star review I have ever given a hotel. Thank you everyone at The Lone Star Hotel for being so kind, I will definitely comeback for another hiking trip to Austin next month and pay you guys another visit! You’re the best!

Belated review, so sorry for that. My home away from home. An oasis of reality amongst the confusion of The Domain. I had the fortune of an extended stay at The Lone Star Court. The people are so kind, just the best, love my peeps. Fire pits, swimming hole, food, bar, and great staff. Thanks for letting me stay there for six months. When can I come back?? Miss and Love Y'all!!

Where do I start! We are from Florida, and I decided to have our wedding in Austin, Tx. I wanted to make this a week long event, where friends and family could come into town and we could relax and catch up prior to the wedding (our wedding was on a Sunday). Lone Star Court and their staff made our wedding week the most unbelievable time of our lives. The hotel & location alone was a dream. They had the fire going every morning and the food that was available for breakfast, lunch and dinner was delicious. This place gave off the best Texas vibes, and their rooms couldn't be more cozy or unique. What I can't say enough about is the staff and the owner. The chef (James) was beyond thoughtful and accommodating to all the people and Winnie and the other servers always remembered who you were and made you feel special. We were able to lay out by the pool, grab a drink and hangout as a very large crew and no one bothered us at all. I just want to say again from the bottom of my heart that I can't thank Lone Star Court enough for providing us with the most amazing experience on our wedding week. We even hosted our rehearsal dinner there on Friday. They set up a huge BBQ buffet that was so good, games, tables and music, all we had to do was show up! Y'all they even had live music all weekend! If you can't tell already, I truly can't say enough about this hotel! If you're thinking about booking a stay here, do it!

Absolutely gorgeous place, beautiful design, and great location. Only drawback was that it was very hard to sleep in in the morning since the wooden walkways connecting the rooms acted as sound amplifiers every time the housekeeping cart or guests walked by with their roller suitcases. My room was close to the lobby though, so I'd suggest requesting a room towards the end of the walkways if you're not a morning person, like myself! It also seemed pretty pricey since the beds and rooms were on the smaller side.

Service here was wonderful. They greeted me by name throughout my stay and went above and beyond to help me with a billing issue that wasn't their fault. The ambiance here is so cool with the retro chic motel design. We loved the fires, music, and bar. I can't wait to go back.

So I have a lot to say here but I'll keep it short. For the price of a room, I expected the rooms to be a little bigger and nicer. I had an issue with my first room ac not working but they took care of me right away to the room next door, staff was great in that regard. The area is a little sketchy these days with all the homeless taking over Austin and had a weird encounter with a staff member checking rooms late at night to see if there were break ins but I have a sneaking suspicion she was doing something else which I won't get in to. Overall a really cute place, the courtyard is beautiful and restaurant/bar on site are also very convenient and surprisingly good. I probably would stay again but only if the price was better...

Great for my work trip. I’d enjoy staying here for personal travel as well. The place was stylish and clean and the staff was very friendly. They give you a welcome beer on arrival and have bonfires in the courtyard in the evening. They also have complimentary bikes and corn hole. The pool is beautiful. I’d definitely stay here again!

It was our first time visiting and we loved our stay!!! They are pet friendly and we were booked into a room that was very convenient for us with dogs. John at the front desk was extremely kind and helpful and so was manager William who introduced himself to us when we first came in and mentioned Whiskey the chocolate lab who we sadly didn’t get to see. Maybe next time! Unfortunately we couldn’t enjoy the nice amenities or the nice ambiance outside due to the winter storm, but it was still an admirable visit. We will definitely be back to enjoy them on our next visit!
