Enough light seeps in under the door to read by. Every footstep, door slam, elevator bell, and hallway conversation can be heard from the comfort of your bed. A/C fan cannot be switched to always run. Toilet with leaky flapper. 2 of 3 breakfasts had unidentifiable protein and no fruit. 2nd worst stay I've had in Austin, won't be back.

The hotel has no problem in general. I had an incident I forgot my military boot, an adidas tennis, a blue shoe and a black Ralph Laurent sandal at the hotel. I checked out at 10 o'clock and I left for work it was on the way towards the evening that I remembered that I didn't take my shoes I called the hotel to tell them that I forgot my shoes the receptionist was really welcoming he asked me to wait for him to be reassured if my shoes are there but unfortunately he didn't find anything and when I left the room And I'm 100% sure that the lady who cleaned the room took my shoes. In which there was a new blue shoe that I had just bought and I still have the receipt I think is why she didn’t report that a customer forgot his shoes. What saddens me is to know that there is no surveillance camera in the hall it means that if there is even a thief or a problem to do the investigations it will be very complicated since there is no surveillance camera and unfortunately for me I can't prove that she took my shoes because if at least they was a camera we can see what she removes from the room. I’ am very disappointed the military boot are very expensive .

Fast, friend, efficient. Just the way I like after a long day traveling. Clean hotel lobby. Decent hot breakfast. Really enjoyed the waffle machines. Will stay again

My family intended to stay at Hampton Inn Austin/Airport Area South for 2 nights in June. We unfortunately had to cancel due to a medical issue, doing so before the 11:59pm deadline the day before our stay, per their stated guidelines. Our confirmation email indicated the timing of cancellation along with stating we would get a full refund. The hotel then charged my card 3 days later for 1 night and has refused to refund the amount even after showing all the appropriate steps we took to be in compliance with their stated cancelation policy. I cannot recommend this hotel location or chain. I've already cancelled all stays planned with Hampton Inn on our summer road trip.

This hotel is quite dingy and old. Needs a facelift. The breakfast unfortunately was particularly unpleasant. Our shower wouldn't drain adequately. The bathroom vanity laminate was peeling and the beds were in need of replacement.

Would have given 5 stars, but they still haven't put microwaves in the rooms !!! Microwaves are so cheap and very helpful in your room. No one wants to go down to the first floor to use a microwave !

They charge for everything in there. Even the coffee down in the lobby room is clean. I mean they had a good cable and it also says your name on the TV screen when you walk in. Don’t drink the Fiji water less. You don’t mind paying $5dollars.each

Simple rooms. Don't believe full service was completed to our room prior to check in. The price does not reflect the room whats so ever. My bed sheets were stained on the side prior to arrival and smell of dog urine. But it was late and no more rooms were available. Security was good in the are and I felt safe. It was quiet for the most part.

Very noisy location near Highway. TV remote didn’t work and staff was unresponsive. There were no working elevators. Alarm clock hadn’t been set to correct time following end of DST.

Cozy and clean. Staff were kind and helpful. Free breakfast and coffee in the morning. Can’t beat that!

I travel usually company credit card, which is a CLC card. I never have to pay a deposit this particular visit. They made me pay a deposit then charge me $189 for the room plus the 50 dollar deposit they took out my account. I have never dealt with this using a CLC car and I did not like going through it. The staff was horrible and disrespectful.

Easy to find, clean and spacious rooms. Continental Breakfast was good, great variety, good coffee. We stayed for 2 nights.

All elevators broke during our stay. Made aware we had to carry bags up and down stairs to top floor for the duration of our stay. Rooms were okay, but expect more from Hilton, especially for the nightly rate.

So, the room was nice. The beds were comfortable. The restroom sink drained slowly. The ice maker on our floor was not in service and there was one working elevator for most of our stay. It was also obvious that the pool wasn't being cleaned regularly. However, breakfast was good and so I appreciated the courteous staff. I just regret spending so many points on an average double room

Been waiting for 2 hours to check into my room, I offered to pay for early check in and was still refused. Even tho I I understand availability can br limited, it's important to have a representative that is actually there to HELP people. Sunny from the front desk was extremely rude. Unpleasant with face expression that are not suitable to this situation. She is not a person to do customer service.

Excellent room. Breakfast staff was amazing. Only issue is the juice machine was not working. However, we were offered bottled drinks including water and boxed juice.

I called Hilton Honors customer service line prior to booking because I needed to reserve a hotel with shuttle service to the airport. The customer service representative insisted that the hotel would have shuttle service which is the specific reason why I booked with this hotel. When I arrived, however, I was told that there is no shuttle. This caused quite a bit of stress over something that I had taken extra steps to try to confirm. Additionally, the bed was extremely uncomfortable. It creaked as though it was broken at even the smallest movements. I do want to say that the front desk staff were all incredibly kind and positive. Unfortunately the lack of shuttle and terrible bed made this stay horrible.

Ali was great! Made my stay very enjoyable and catered to me even though I had very little needs. I believe her name was Olivia (sorry if I'm wrong on this) but she also was very accommodating, nice, and extremely professional. Would recommend staying at this hotel 1000 times over!

I never leave reviews... Overall, the hotel was fantastic. The room was clean, everything worked, breakfast was decent and the front desk staff was next-level amazing. I would stay here again, but.....during my stay my truck was broken into. Thankfully, nothing was stolen and the only damage was my bed cover being totally destroyed. This is not directly the fault of the hotel. Austin is a busy spot for fans of many venues/sports, and that means easy targets for thieves. The hotel has very limited camera coverage outside the building. I was parked in the closest spot to the front door, backed in directly under a light pole and my truck was still hit. The one camera on that side is pointed at a side door adjacent to the lobby as an alternate guest entrance. The security of the property is something I believe Hilton should take more seriously in a city like Austin. The other side to this is, Austin PD didn't seem to care. I filed a police report and never heard back from them. That's not the hotel's fault, but if you're considering staying here I would not take your personal vehicle (get a rental), if you do stay take ALL of your valuables into your room each and every night and understand that if you're a victim of burglary the police won't even talk to you beyond talking to a 311 operator.

Booked because it advertised an airport shuttle. They don't have a shuttle -yet. Oh if you click a little link at the top that doesn't say anything about amenities, it says shuttle not available. Like a bait n switch. Cost an extra $40+ for Lyft rides. I expect better from a Hilton brand.

Quite a lame experience. It's a sad location, right next to the highway, you can hear noise at night. The building is very outdated, like other reviewers have mentioned, things don't work, are falling off or are noisy. The old window air conditioner for example, it is true that it sounds like a train wreck when heating or cooling. I had to unplug the refrigerator which was even louder. One elevator is still out of service, it takes a long time to wait to go to your floor with only one elevator functioning. To top it all off the breakfast was an absolute sick joke. Only one option: fake scrambled eggs and sausage. No choice of fruit, oatmeal, no potatoes, no yogurt or granola, nothing. Even the orange juice said "out of service." It was a disaster. This place should get demolished or change its name to cheap Motel, to reflect what you are paying for.

This hotel is horrible! I’m currently on day 6 and unfortunately I’ll be here 4 more days for work. The hotel itself is very old and not worth the nightly rate. I’ve had to switch out the coffee maker in my room twice because they were broken, I asked for a ice bucket and was given a trash bag and the carpet around my AC is soaking wet. But the worst part is, housekeeping has not been in my room to take out the trash or switch the towels even though I’ve asked multiple times. The location may be appealing to you because it’s close to SOCO and downtown but I promise there’s better hotels in the area!

Great Service and good size clean rooms. I was able to get a first floor room with a king size bed and a sofa, two stools and a desk chair. And since we were meeting friends from San Antonio, there was plenty of seating for all of us. While you're there, I recommend "Gus's World Famous Fried Chicken"

Front desk wouldn't answer phone, had to call muliple times to get anyone. Then had to walk down to get wash cloths and a replacement iron for the room because they couldn't bring it. Only 1 working elevator, key cards that wouldn't work and breakfast only till 9. The only bright spot was the cleaning lady, seems like she's been there a while and was very nice.

This hotel was clean and did offer a hot breakfast option. However it does not offer some of the things most of us are used to like a microwave In the actual room.Check in was not a great experience. The room I actually reserved was given to someone else because they overbooked so instead of a king size suite I was in a queen double bed. The location other than the airport being close by, was not the greatest. If your looking for a great nights rest, the beds were horrible I slept very uncomfortable. I will not be returning. Decent sized room with a nice restroom through.

Front desk personnel helpful & friendly. Computer didn't work so couldn't do boarding passes ahead. Needs some TLC. Bathroom tub didn't drain well, hairs on tub ledge inside tub, hole in comforter, pop bottle cap on floor at edge of bed (not ours). Not up to Hampton/Hilton standards. So much for 100% satisfaction guarantee - offered $50 off. Corporate will be hearing from this faithful Diamond member.
