Our team/organization travels to Austin weekly and this time 5 families chose Homewood Suites as our hotel, but unfortunately, our overall experience at the Homewood Suites started by a disappointing check-in process and unhelpful staff. I called the hotel at 2:00pm and asked if we would be able to check in early. I was told it was no problem and they had plenty of rooms available. Upon arrival at the hotel, I was met with an unpleasant surprise. The check-in process was incredibly frustrating due to the unavailability and rudeness of the hotel staff and management. I was now told I would be charged a $50 early check in fee even though our room was ready. It seemed as though they were either understaffed or simply not interested in providing a satisfactory level of service to myself and two other families in my group. This lack of attentiveness and professionalism left a negative impression right from the start. The staff's attitude during the check-in process was particularly disheartening. Instead of offering a warm welcome or assisting us with our needs, they seemed detached and disinterested. It is essential for hotel staff to make guests feel valued and attended to, but unfortunately, this was not the case during my stay. Furthermore, the unavailability of staff members was an ongoing issue throughout my stay. Whenever I needed assistance or had a question, it was a challenge to find someone to help me. This lack of accessibility made me feel neglected and frustrated, as I expected more efficient and responsive service from a hotel. Another staff member (Gunner) told us to deal with our own problem because this was not a full service hotel. Despite the disappointing check-in experience and unhelpful staff, I must acknowledge some positive aspects of Homewood Suites. The physical condition of the hotel was generally well-maintained, and the room itself was clean and comfortable. The amenities offered, such as the pool area and complimentary breakfast, were also satisfactory. However, it is important to note that the quality of service is a crucial factor in a hotel's overall appeal. While the physical aspects of Homewood Suites were satisfactory, the lackluster check-in experience and unhelpful staff overshadowed these positives. I hope the management of Homewood Suites takes this review and addresses the issues I encountered during my stay. Improving the check-in process and ensuring that the staff is attentive and accessible would greatly enhance the overall guest experience. I have advised our organization to cancel all upcoming stays with Homewood Suites because of these factors.

You won't be disappointed with this Homewood Suites. All staff extremely helpful and hospitable. Every day they were very helpful and made sure our business group had everything needed. Rooms were extremely clean, roomy and beds comfortable. Pool and outdoor areas were well kept and very inviting. Entire hotel very well kept. One of the best hotel experiences I've had in over a decade and I travel frequently for my job!

Wow.... Gave away my hotel room... Didn't call or email me... So I show up at 230 am and no room.... all other hotels in Austin and surrounding were sold out... and I had to sleep in my car. As a diamond member. This is absurd.....

We had such a great experience during our 3 night stay. The room was clean, the staff were friendly, and the breakfast was better than any other hotel I've stayed at. We had no issues and would recommend this hotel. We hope to stay at this hotel again.

The best room I’ve had in a long time. Was surprised that they had free beer and dinner. The room was nice n clean. It had plenty of space to be comfortable if you’re staying a couple of nights. I’d definitely stay here again.

This place was stunning and had great service! The rooms were absolutely beautiful. I accidently checked in late. They said they were about to cancel my reservation, but they worked with me. They provided a meal every night and breakfast every morning! The scenery was absolutely gorgeous! Very Austin vibe!

Loved staying at homewood suites, it was such a great stay for our little getaway. Breakfast was delicious, nothing compared to other hotels. The pool was nice and clean. For being a family of 5, the room size was good size it came with its own whole small kitchen and living area plus its private bedroom with restroom and vanity. Also came with 2 flatscreen Tvs, one in the living room and the other one in the bedroom. I'm definitely coming back again. You won't regret it.

We stayed for the Texas Longhorns and Kansas game. The staff had our rooms ready upon arrival, with no issues while checking in. The rooms were clean and neat, Our maid always had fresh towels for us and were very friendly. The breakfast being served was very filling. My mom didn't like the coffee. But everything else was excellent.

A decent place for a few nights stay. The suite has a small kitchen, dining table, utensils, microwave and dishwasher. There is a living room with a sectional couch and balcony. The bedroom is quite spacious and clean. The bathroom has a shower tub. The breakfast each morning is standard with eggs, meat and potatoes served with the usual breads, cereal and waffles. Nothing outstanding but a good, clean place to stay. There is an outdoor area with good seating near the pool and a fire pit, along with a half size basketball court. There is also free parking available. The location is great because it is just off the I-35 so very accessible. Price could be slightly lower.

Checkin was really smooth. If you check in late past certain hours, they do have to let you in. If they are tied up you will have to wait. Room was super spacious, felt like home. Bed was super comfortable. Breakfast is from 8-10, service isn’t what you expect. You would they with the amount of people booked in they would have enough food around the clock so that people aren’t standing waiting around to see if they would fill it back up. The counters were super dirty with food dropped, milk spilled, they had plenty of help so I am not sure why the mess. Trash in the food area was overflowing. I think this could improve a lot!! The Texas shaped waffles are good. Eggs were okay. That was literally all I was able to get because they didn’t bring any of their items anymore. Overall my our stay was what we needed. I would definitely be back and book again!

The rooms and motel itself was very clean and beautiful. We were traveling late at night and we arrived at 4 in the morning. She didn't see our reservation and she took awhile to accommodate us. When we finally got our room we were exhausted and wanted showers. We had one roll of toilet paper no shampoo and no soap the dispensers were empty. The next morning my family of five went down for breakfast an hour before they closed and they were out of everything and closed early. My husband complained about our stay and they acted as they didn't care. Don't recommend this place to anyone.

This is one of the most beautiful places I've stayed at. The color and art scheme is soothing and invigorating at the same time. Truly magical. The rooms are spacious and well designed. The beds are comfortable. I loved the shower layout. It's simple and luxurious. The hot breakfast is a nice treat. I'll definitely stay here again!

The staff was really helpful and they had a lot to offer in this hotel. Really recommend it. The only reason it's not a five-star, because my WiFi kept going out. Other than that, I don't have much to complain, with their complimentary breakfast and outdoor activities. I really enjoyed my stay. Plus it really helped me with my commute.

Perfect location. Near all the shops one could ever need and still close enough to downtown. My only pet peeve was the breakfast. I did not like the selection. No muffins and quantities are limited even for the amount of guests.

Beautiful hotel, at a good location for us. Lot of artwork, memorabilia located in and around the building. Our room was mostly nice. The patio was very nice to sit outside in the evening. The pool area was very nice as well. The lobby and breakfast area was well situated and comfortable. Some breakfast items were not always available for long periods of time. before they could bring more. The staff was mostly helpful. On the downside, the lobby men's room was out of soap and tissues, for the 2 day that I was there. This seemed to be story of most of the building. Many of the hand sanitizers were empty. We had to ask the front desk due to no towels at the swimming pool. They got some out there in about 15 minutes. Housekeeping was not doing daily cleaning of the rooms. I assume due to the pandemic situation. They have to sure what they need to do, but some plan as to getting towels exchanged, trash pick-up would have been good to know.

Oh how I would love to give this place five stars. The location is perfect for our needs, and the hotel is very clean. They also have some of the best breakfast in the chain. Always delicious. However, the rating leaves a bit to be desired. First, the "south" entrance has a broken entry system. You can use the card, but the Hilton app will not work. (So much for bypassing the desk for your stay.) Also, the "south" elevator has a button that needs to be fixed. It is VERY hard to press, and must be done precisely in order to reach the first floor. I would not have mentioned either issue had it happened once, but we stayed in this hotel for 7 days in June, and another 5 in December, and it appears the management would rather patch instead of fix. Will this keep us from staying here in the future? Likely not, as it really is a good hotel. We'll just have to remember to visit the desk whenever we stay.

I stayed with a friend of mine this week, I am taking my time out to write this because their front office manager gets 10 stars! She not only made my friend feel like home but also me. Extended from the beautiful hotel, we were greeted with a big smile and a burst of happy energy. She was so helpful, even though we had so many questions. She is new to Austin, she was so open to talk and ask how our day was. In this generation you don’t get great service. She was the one we saw each night of our stay. I just wanted to thank her for making our stay better!

The everyday staff were great. They are the reason for the 2 stars instead of 0. I used points to stay here for a few days. I inquired about an extended stay rate as a travel nurse and was quoted over $4100/month. Then I found roaches in my kitchen. Glad I didn’t stay for an extended time!

Room was nice, ceiling fan was broken though. Continental breakfast had NO meat, just bread, potatoes, fruit, cereal and juice. Could have been much better. Also the electric car chargers need to be serviced.

Excellent stay this past weekend! I arrived very late from my flight and misplaced my ID in the car. Check in reception was super helpful and patient. From there it was only even more perfect - room was very spacious and quiet. Kitchen was very well equipped and the bed was super comfortable. Parking was easy and plentiful - well lit - very safe. I even spotted a few owls in the parking lot when I arrived which was very cool to see. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Coffee - A+ Gym very well equipped. Pool looked great but was too cold to try it out Staff: All amazing - every person greeted my with a smile - all very professional

Lovely Hotel. However grounds around hotel are trashed and plants unkept. Staff can be unfriendly to kids if not accompanied by a parent. But all in all. I enjoyed my stay here and the amenities it offers.

I travel a lot and utilize meeting space for work frequently. I typically use the Hilton chain and never have issues. This past week at this location Gunnar and George were awesome! I had an issue with the projector in the meeting room, George came in early to work to help me get it resolved. Gunnar was so nice and helped with all my extra requests the night before. 😊

We used their ballroom for a shower. The staff were helpful and nice. Spacious and roomy enough for everyone to be spread out. We also had family stay there from out of town they loved it.

Very nice modern, clean hotel located in the heart of tech country. The free breakfast included was very good. Love the decor and outside seating areas.

We got an efficiency, or whatever they call them now days, but it was nice. TV doesn't turn fully to see from the couch comfortably if you sit in the middle of the couch or towards the wall side of the couch. The adjoining room door doesn't stop any noise so everything the family with kids did next door, we heard with ease.

Have stayed here 3 yrs in a row w/ teen & handicapped mother, always been a great stay...a bit leery of recent reviews about bed bugs etc, we recommended & have more family booked. Have been pleased & had no issues in past, hence return every yr. Looking forward to our upcoming visit this week, will let ALL know

I just spent the past week here for a work trip. I appreciated the location, and I had plenty of space in my room. The fridge, microwave, and kitchen sink were all super helpful to have. Unfortunately, the kitchen sink in my room leaked water. My room was next to the laundry room, so I'm not sure if that was the reason for having NO water pressure in the shower- like water trickled out of the shower head, and the hot water knob on the bathroom faucet did not turn on. The front desk worker was irritated when I requested housekeeping for each day of my stay. The housekeeper did a nice job on the days that they came but my room didn't get done one day even though it was on the schedule. The one elevator's buttons were stuck and hard to work and a lot of people's trash was left out in the hallways for a really long time. The gym was nice and not busy at all. I'd stay here again if my company needed me to stay here again, but I will definitely vocalize my room issues in the future if there are any.
