Lovely RV park just south of downtown. Clean, well kept. Beautiful, shady, level sites with trees and shrubs. It's near the freeway, but we hardly noticed the noise. We heard mostly birds singing in the trees.

The campground itself is very nice, and conveniently located in mid-south Austin. The only complaint is that the office manager Mary was rude and unhelpful. I would chalk it up to a string of bad days, but this was the consensus of everyone we talked to, both short and long-termers. For example, when we had a problem with a machine in the laundry room, the extent of her empathy was "That's just the way it is." Also, for some reason Mary was unwilling to let us use the remote control in the gym, and wouldn't even turn on closed-captioning for us because "she doesn't like them on". It was very weird, like she was unaware her job is in the hospitality industry. Otherwise, very nice campground! Clean and convenient, nice gym and pool, and the site hookups all worked well. Better staff attitude would make this a 5-star review.

Tight spots. Very close to neighbors. Small park, and pretty ‘landlocked’ as it is surrounded by ghetto. Small, astro turf dog park. Manager can be passive aggressively rude when she’s having a bad day and needs an outlet. Don’t take it personal.

Grounds are decent but needs updating. Traffic is always backed up causing extreme delays. Management staff is horrible especially the assistant manager. (Just ask for someone else) While checking in, a customer left the office and an employee was bad talking her after she walked out. (Reported to corporate immediately) Poor customer service overall from office staff. Homeless people always walking through the park. Their corporate staff assured changes will be made immediately. Maybe you'll have a better stay but I recommend looking else where

I give just a star not because of the facilities that are decent, but because of the mid age woman who is at the front desk. She is a liar, disrespectful person. I asked her why we weren't given TV cable as it was advertised on the Passport of America app; initially she said it was because of the weather (?), second it was because this campground used to be a KOA facility (?) and finally she said it was because you have to be there at least for a month. Ridiculous. She also undermined Passport of America with a burlesque tone. She thought we came from Mexico (nothing wrong being a Mexican!!); she would go bananas if she knew we were coming from Europe and hold British passports.... Probably she would've changed her attitude. She was very racist pushing us to finish with the other couple of questions we had, whereas the American woman that she was talking to before, she didn't push her at all.... In other words, she is not good neither for the company that pays her salary, nor the position she is at which is to attend and assist customers. Up until 6 months ago I was a president of a multinational company in Europe. If I had people like her in my company, she wouldn't have lasted not even a day. She should retire with immediate effect instead of affecting the image of the resort. We showed her a picture of poop of dog left right by the table of our site that should have been cleaned up. It took us 2 visits to the office for them to realize it was true!! Looking at other reviews, quite a few people comment against that mid age woman, and she is still there!!! Then I conclude that the manager is just painted on the wall.... he or she should have taken action long time ago. Another element that wouldn't last in my company.

Is an RV park. Very neat, tidy, full hook-ups. Professional. Secure. Easy in, Easy out. Bathhouse, laundry, dog park, swimming pool all very nice and well maintained. I can recommend 100%.

Good level sites. Awesome location. Would be 5 stars if they had cable. 1st RV Resort I have been to which did not.

Came for a few days in July to see downtown and relax. Lot 81 is almost level for our class c with no jacks. Bonus is lots of trees for shade. Other spots may be full sun, but this one is perfect. Helpful staff, pool, small dog park area, and 20 minute Uber ride to downtown. We will be back here on our next getaway weekend

Great RV stopping place. We've been here 3-4 times over the last few years and love it. The facilities are great and the people are wonderful.

We loved staying here during SXSW! The location is great. It was an easy 12 minute Uber right into downtown. The gym was a great place to check out outfits in the mirror as we waited to be picked up by the Uber right outside the gate. The bathhouse was super clean. There were tons of individual toilet, sink, shower rooms. We had a full hook up, pull through for our 33 ft toy hauler trailer. The site was level and the hook ups were in mint condition. We loved being able to put out our back porch to sit, relax, and wave at everyone as they passed.

Older urban RV park near downtown location is great, and the staff is great. Upgrading the resort has really made this a great location...

There was alot extra room around all the RVs. The lots were clean and they were organized very well. The pool was sparkling clean and felt great! Definitely will be back for our next vacation.

I've visited this RV park quite a few times and its always very well maintained, clean, and we'll organized. I cannot attest to rates/servie but overall I like it. The only downside is the location: it is at the most farthest point of an access road (IH35) and you would have to do about a 2 mile long U-turn to get to this place if you are not going northbound. Also, the exit/entrance is EXTREMELY dangerous as you have to merge with vehicles going 60+MPH. Be careful!

We have stayed there in our 5th wheel. I actually like the park—it deserves a 5. Bathrooms are nice. The problem is the entrance and exit-on and off busy freeway access road. Horrible.

I've stayed at this RV park several times the last few years and the staff there never disappoints! Pam and Mary go above and beyond to assist with any questions you might have. The location is also great! Minutes from downtown and minutes from COTA. I look forward to my next stay at Austin Lone Star RV!

I have always heard great things about this park so I thought I'd call see if there was any availability. I was told that in order for me to even know that I have to go down and fill out an application. I'm sorry I'm not going to spend half a day going somewhere to fill out an application just to find out the RV park is full. As a long-term resident of Austin I really thought better of a local RV park that prides themselves on being the best. I think that policy is ridiculous if it's not a policy please let me know maybe it was just the person who answered the phone.

Perfect place to stay! Really safe park, with in a short drive anywhere in Austin. Really nice pool and laundry room!

This park was fantastic. The grounds were clean, the staff helpful and informative, quiet at night and during the day. We look forward to returning.

Came for one night only from Houston for an Austin concert. Everything was impeccable from check in until we left. Super clean and cabin had everything we needed. Only regret was having to leave. Never once felt like we were on the feeder road on 35. Awesome place.

We only stayed here one night so we can’t speak much on the long term. Also, once you leave the park the area is not very appealing. However, the park is well taken care of and it is a gated community. The facilities were taken care of and I believe we will be staying here again in the future.
