This stay was nearly perfect for the price-point. The comfort of the bedding, mattress and air con make this a five star for us. Despite the age of the building, we felt the rooms were nicely kept. The shower is perfect and the bath products are top-notch. We had trouble keeping out the sun but that often happens with draperies. TV worked well, coffee in room. Parking was not too bad on a busy weekend especially after discovering side entrances. Breakfast was delicious but on a busy morning the service model just needs more staff members. If you're in a hurry, you might grab something to go instead. We will make this our new stay in Austin! The location is close to many things we never felt truly far. You save a ton not having to pay for valet parking at a property downtown.

We arrived 11pm on 5/21. The sofa bed was like sleeping on spring. There was no comforter. We requested twice, they gave a sheet. AC wasn’t working properly. They said they do not have comforter. We three could not sleep in the night. Very very bad experience for $265 a night that we paid. They should refund the money and apologize. Never expected this from Marriott hotels.

Had to stay here due to the freeze and had a wonderful experience. The rooms are comfortable and very clean. The breakfast was great and check in was easy. The front desk receptionists even made an effort to remember my name which is always a beautiful touch. Extremely accommodating hotel.

Marriott employees went above and beyond for us, I had my daughters sweet 16 here and it was the best day ever. From the time I started planning it Jaelyn was very helpful and informative. The day of the sweet 16 the guys that served and attended to us was super nice! The food was great and the decorations they provided looked amazing. The room was very spacious and dance floor was big enough for my whole family! Thanks guys again! I highly recommend having a even here!

1 star is still too much.Staff was rude at check in, hidden fees not noted. They added $50 per night. Was not the booking.com price. There was never any pool towels. The beds were highly uncomfortable. Shower was NOT cleaned. Refrigerator did not work. They came to fix or "replace" it while we left for dinner and yet it was still the same. To top it off we paid for 2 nights. Housekeeper was knocking on the door at 8am and proceeded to open the door on her own while I was showering before our 7 hour trip back home! Do not stay here. For this price, you can stay somewhere else where they are more considerate!

It is a very nice facility. The staff is friendly, helpful and responsive. However, there are a couple of caveats. There is coffee available in the mornings. But unless you are a platinum level guest, the breakfast buffet is $17 each. In addition there is no room cleaning or towel service provided on a daily basis unless requested. The staff explained there is a staffing shortage as part of the recovery effort from the pandemic but it was going to be resolved soon, which is understandable.

The room was very pleasant. The shower continued to drip as it was not easily turned off. My wife reported it before we left we were met with a pleasant surprise of attentiveness by the desk host.

Our rooms were overall clean when we arrived. They do not have continental breakfast, and their restaurant in which they offer breakfast is on the expensive side $15+ . Still have two more nights, will update review if anything changes.

Ms. Sue is an amazing manager that went the extra mile for my family during a hectic sold out weekend during a longhorn football game. The staff at the restaurant for breakfast was quick and thoughtful with getting fresh menu items. Parking is ample and safe for overnight with secure key entry after dark. A refreshing experience that could have gone wrong many times over. Highly recommend this property

We really enjoyed our stay here. The service was great. The room attendants were very respectful and attentive to us the whole time we were there. Most only spoke Spanish, and it was a little difficult to talk with them at times. The beds were a bit harder than we liked. There were a couple of mishaps with the pool that required it to close a couple of times. However, it was a pleasant stay. Would stay there again.

Nice, inexpensive hotel conveniently located to both I35 and TX 45 Tollroad. Room was clean, the king bed was comfortable and the floors were quiet during my stay. They have a nice bar with very friendly staff if you are looking for an adult drink during your stay. My only complaint is there was no AC option to keep the fan ON all night which caused me to wake up quite often when the fan turned off during my first nights stay. I ended up buying a fan and that solved the problem for the remainder of my stay.

Overall the room was great. check in was pretty smooth. My only complaint which I was pretty annoyed by was house keeping knocking and opening the door at 9:00am. I was still asleep since checkout was not until noon to only have the same thing happen again an hour later. Luckily I had the lock on the door if not they would've seen me sleeping.

Hotel /Building its kept on a excellent condition , rooms are clean and Check In staff (early afternoon shift )are very nice and customer oriented , rooms are nice and clean . Few negative points Our AC/Heater unit on room 318 heater didn't work at night call reception they said wait 2 minutes to work never did .I call back and they were no help at all .Next day when the weather change we try to turn the AC and didn't work either employeess offer no help ..The previous day we found hair on the towels (black long long hair ) for sure is not mine.IBut I'm I'm assuming it was the housekeeper and they were nice enough to bring me a new set right away. Also all the guest including my self were complaining. About how cold the pool was i requested to the person who brought towels to turn heater and she said it will take 3 days to heat the pool (not true) also another customer stated on the pool area they lied at the reception saying the pool was kept heated all the time which is not true I wish the Hotel will take this is consideration specially on the weekends /holidays for guest ..Last comment is also that I wishstarbucks was open until the afternoon and restaurant inside will offer food till at least midnight on the weekends .

I’m giving them a one because even though their staff seems friendly enough, it seems like they don’t know what they are doing with your money or cards. My boyfriend and I stayed there in September. The goal was that i show up earlier than him, he shows up later in the week and both rooms would be charged on HIS card. My stay was from 10th-17th, his was 14th-17th. My boyfriend had clearly stated this to them that his card would be charged for both rooms when he made the reservation…and then he repeated the same thing when he arrived giving his card….and then he said the same thing when were leaving. Since I showed up early, they needed a card on file until my boyfriend was able to produce his card physically. When I arrived, they reassured me that my card WOULD NOT be charged, it’s only a placement card. But that’s not what happened. After our stay, the next day on the 18th, i see that i am charged 634.66. I let my boyfriend know and he checks his account and sure enough he wasn’t charged the full amount. The full amount was meant to be charged for both rooms and the amount of the stay was 1764.87. He was charged 1,130.21 and I the 634.66. So basically, they charged his card for my room and charged me for his room…Not at all what we asked for. Is it part of their tradition to ignore their clients wishes and do whatever they want with the clients cards? Seems like it. Anyway, I called the Marriot hotel and told them that my boyfriend was supposed to be charged and not me. The lady i spoke to said that she didn’t know what I was talking about and that only his card got charged and that I should call my bank. And that’s exactly what I did. I filed a claim against them saying that I wasn’t meant to be charged. A couple of weeks go by and I get a claim letter from my bank saying that everything went well and that the money is being given back to me from the Marriot hotel. This is great! Now I can put this all behind me…..Wrong! Some more time goes by and then i get another letter saying the Marriot hotel is taking back the money because “service was rendered” there for they are taking the money back….? I called my boyfriend and asked him to check his bank statement to see if the Marriot charged his card for my room like they were supposed to. He looks and sees that along with the 1,130.21, he eventually did get charged the 634.66 on his card but then later Marriot gave him back the 634.66 and than charged my card that amount again..?!?!?! In the end, my boyfriend gave me the money and now we are going to try and put this behind us. We make regular visits to Austin. No longer will we be staying with Marriot while at Austin or any affiliated hotels no matter what city we end up in. No thank you.

"Certainly not the best, nor the worst, but definitely okay" I've stayed at many of the local hotels within the Round Rock/Austin area, and most of them were good-great in terms of overall quality and service. This hotel is no exception. I ended up staying here for 4 days with my wife and absolutely enjoyed our little vacation. The hotel itself certainly made us feel comfortable in a "home away from home" style room. The many amenities and features of the room and hotel itself were a nice touch. The only gripe I have during my entire stay was when we first arrived and attempted to check in. After 13+ hours on the road, I'm sure anyone would have looked rough around the edges, but to the employee who checked us it, that didn't matter. The attitude and "looks" he gave both my wife and myself were unnecessary and uncalled for. To him, it seemed as though we didn't belong at a "Austin Marriot North" or "there's no way these two could afford to stay here." As you might guess, this is was not the warm and welcoming service we expecting to receive. In conclusion, the overall stay was okay and satisfied our current needs. If I had to recommend a hotel within the same area to any future travelers, I would highly recommend the Home2 Suites or Hyatt (which are essentially down the street from this hotel).

Very friendly and pleasant service from all staff members. The rooms were good for the price and the amenities were nice. Location was very convenient to the wedding we were going to. The breakfast buffet was lackluster and they charged us 20$ a person. I would not recommend eating here for breakfast as it was horrible for the price and not worth the convenience. There are plenty of great food options around and I was surprised to be charged so much.

By far the best hotel I have stayed in this weekend. Affordable, clean, great reception personnel, and location was perfect. Definitely will visit again.

!!! Update: The response from the owner was, that they are sorry the pillows did not meet my PREFERENCE. It's not a preference question, it's a definition question. Pillows that cave down to the bed and smother your face in-between are not pillows, in fact, I think that's the opposite of a pillow. And, yes, I had requested the 'foam' pillows in advance, and they were no different. Why? Because they are old and worn out. I know this because at another Marriott in Houston the next week I had the same experience and the 2nd night they gave me new foam pillows out of the box, and guess what? They were firm and supportive. And so, it's not preference, it's your pillows are old and worn out. Great location. The rooms are clean and get the job done. The food in the restaurant is good, drinks are WAYYYYYYYYYY over-priced. My main issue is the pillows. Pillows that cave in all the way to the mattress are by definition, 'Not Pillows'. There is just no way to get comfortable with these so-called pillows. Terrible sleep. I get it, it's a preference thing but for a hotel to be a winner the shower needs to be solid and the bed & pillows need to be solid.

I didn't actually stay here, but rather stopped by to request a tour of a king room on behalf of a friend coming into town. The staff was very understanding and quickly arranged for me to preview a room. Great customer service even though I was not going to be the actual customer!

I had a very disappointing stay at this hotel due to the poor cleanliness standards. I was shocked to find blood spots on my towel, which made me question the overall cleanliness of the room. The experience has left a negative impression and I cannot recommend this hotel to others. It's unacceptable to find such unsanitary conditions in a hotel, and it raises serious concerns about health and safety. I hope the management takes necessary steps to improve their cleaning procedures to ensure a better experience for future guests. I appreciate the refund as I couldn’t stay a minute longer.

Our stay was great especially thanks to front desk associate Marsha! She checked us in and went out of her way to make sure our first stay here was amazing! She was super friendly, very professional, compassionate, and very helpful! I'd return in large because Marsha represents Marriott so well! The other associates and all of the staff we interacted with were great! The lobby is very nice a decorated nicely for Christmas! The elevators work well and we're clean as was the hallways, gym, pool area and overall hotel. The restaurant was clean however the breakfast could use more variety and less hard cooked bacon. Unfortunately, one of the workers coughed directly into the muffins as he was putting up the food. He didn't cover his mouth at all. He also touched his mouth with his gloves on as he was replacing food on the bar. Please remind your staff that it is imperative to be extra clean and to be aware that patrons see more than they know. I was told that I couldn't get an omelet because staff was low. The only day that I did get an omelet, it was amazing! The room that we were upgraded to was very nice!! We loved everything about it although the tiles flushes too loud and it's a little hard to push the handle. The shower and sink water pressure is great however the hot is very hot and could burn someone. It would be nice to have a vent in the bathroom to avoid the walls getting so wet and the mugginess. This corner room is amazing! Thanks for taking such good care of us! We didn't remove our door hanger sign to get our room cleaned, but, the housekeepers were very nice and helpful when I asked to replace towels, etc. The room was nicely decorated! Towels were plush and white. The TV wall unit is very nice and the refrigerator worked well! Again, Marsha H. was one of the best parts of our stay! We appreciate all the kindness! Parking was ample and the location is convenient from the highway. There are stores and restaurants with 5 minutes drive. We'd definitely return! Oh, only reason I didn't rate it a five is because I reserve those for the Ritz...

This hotel is clean and the the service was good for the most part. We stayed 5 nights and our room was not serviced on one of the days, which is not huge deal for us, but unexpected. We were expecting fresh towels though, so we called down to the desk upon returning that evening and asked for fresh towels, which were promptly brought. The hotel is beginning to show its age and is in need of some TLC or remodeling. I expect a higher level of attention to detail in decor at this brand level. The breakfast buffet was excellent and the wait staff, attentive and friendly.

Clean hotel. Employees were super nice - always going above and beyond. They allow pets so that’s a huge plus for animal lovers. Food wasn’t good and they had new employees at the bar so not a great experience there either. My room was clean - I always prefer higher floors but there was none so I settled for 1st floor and it worked fine. I’ll recommend it definitely but make sure you eat before going to the hotel - 😉

There is an Austin Police tower in the parking lot, ensuring some protection for guest vehicles. The lobby is clean and well attended. Staff are very friendly. Room is clean, facilities are great. This is what I expect from a Marriott as a lifetime Elite member. Not bragging, just letting you know I travel a lot and stay at Marriott a lot. This one delivers the value for my $170 per night stay.

I am a very satisfied about the exceptional service I have received at this property. Last night my A/C broke at my home and rented a room at this Marriott property (close to my home). The moment we walked in, we were warmly greeted and quickly accommodated to our room by Ms. Sue Kunz, which was very pleasant and professional, and was overall very happy with how clean the room is. The bed sheets are very clean and smell so good, too. The staff are very professional at all times and will likely recommend this Marriott property to our family and friends. Thank you! -Luis

We visited for a quick weekend wedding and when we arrived, they said our room wasn't ready so they upgraded us for free! It was a fantastic room. An executive suite and very spacious and clean. Breakfast was just ok. They had a good variety but things they just Stent prepared very well. Would definitely stay there again.

This used to be a good property with good amenities. However, over the years the service level and quality of the amenities has decreased drastically. I've experienced rude staff, ant infestations (including food delivered to my room with the ants already on the plate), and various other things that are inconsistent with the Marriott brand and this level of hotel. After several years, I decided last week to give this property another try. Unfortunately, the experience continues to be sub-par. The Starbucks is closed, the breakfast included in my rate was not made available to me ("sorry, have a nice day" was what I got when I asked about this at checkout), the staff was rude, and my room was entered despite my "do not disturb" sign and assurance by the staff that it would not be entered. I do not recommend this property. It does not live up to the Marriott reputation and has not for several years.

Love this hotel. The rooms are clean, the amenities are nice, a very nice gym. The breakfast buffet also very good. The staff is so friendly they go out of their way to help you. I am very happy and next time I am in town I will be staying here again.

Easy checking in, staff very helpful. Hotel is still offering limited services doe to Covid. We took care of ourselves. The rooms don’t have much space for storing clothes and they are dimly light for a pair of old eyes

I grew up in Round Rock and remember watching this hotel be built as a kid. That said, it's more than 20 years old and it's starting to show. While it's still very nice and the lobby is updated, the rooms could use a refresh. Still giving it 5 stars because it was very clean, staff were nice, and the price reflects that it's not the nicest, most modern hotel in town. I also loved that it's pet-friendly, as normally I have to stay at not-so-great places in order to have a pet-friendly hotel. Would stay here again. (Stayed here at Thanksgiving, 2021)
