Didn’t really like the place the first time I came in as I ordered the Thai Coffee and it was different from what I’ve had before (too much spice but it’s subjective). Decided to give it another try and ordered the Nutty Irishman and Mocha through Grub Hub, and those drinks were so good. Long story short, the Nutty Irishman is now one of my favorite drinks here. I’ve also tried their Thai Tea which is very good as it’s not too sweet like other places, and the affogato is also very yummy. The decorations are very cute, too. Will definitely come back.

Been coming here for over ten years so here is what you need to know: Clean restrooms for both men and women with plenty of outlets and free wifi, meeting room, seating, and comfy sofas. Also calming Middle Eastern sofi relaxed kind of music all day with no echoing of people talking like some places so great place to come finish work and go. Does even have a fireplace durong the winter although I have never seen them use it! Also lots of paintings and unique memories get out up here! Now for why no five stars from me: Customer service has been hit or miss over the years and almost different people every time I come here over the last ten years. Most have been just chill and neutral, hard to have any conversations with, and always seem cold or not to care. Food sandwiches, teas, and smoothies I will take a pass on, not the worst but definitely not worth the money I have paid On the other hand the Monkey original acai bowl and coffee are legit, not a fan of the creamers or milk they use here so stick straight to black. I try to order each time I come here. Also parking just plain sucks and is hit or miss here and literally nearly wrecked my vehicle with pot holes on t he entrance coming in or nearly getting hit by the traffic from Papa John's pizza next door so be warned and careful getting in and out of here on north oumd lane of North Lamar! :p P.s. They also have random board games, a printer you can use, yes a printer you can pay to use!

A new favorite because of their imaginative drink menu (honey, lavender, cayenne) all with the option of oatmilk; Vegan sandwich, salad, pasta salad, and dessert options; and the crave-worthy black bean & sweet potato empanadas sprinkled with spice - 🤤. Large cafe with both bright & dim areas and plenty of outlets. The cafe requests you limit your stay to two hours!

I’m writing this review to specially talk about Victoria. It’s my first time visiting Austin and decided to stop at this coffee shop on thanksgiving day. Victoria was amazing and went out of her way to make my experience here the best it could be. Thank you Victoria we need more people like you in the world!!

I'm giving this coffee shop and Cafe mixed reviews. The honey luv oatmilk iced latte (honey, cinnamon, ginger) was delicious. The espresso was rich. My Monkey Nest Special sandwich was tasty (grilled bread, honey mustard chicken salad with capers, tomatoes, cranberries, and red onion). Not the best I've ever had, but it's quite good. The mixed part of my review is that the staff was not very friendly and kind of ignored me for some time before I could order. I was the only person at the register! They didn't even acknowledge me! Another negative is that the cafe was a bit dirty in spots; the cleanliness could have been improved. Not so much so that I walked out, but, it made me question my choice a bit. The atmosphere inside is nice with a lot of seating, tables, and places to plug in, read a book, or work. The outdoor patio was not clean or attractive, and they are on a busy road, so it's very loud. Would I go again if I lived here, maybe.

Very friendly staff. I would highly recommend the Cubano espresso, delicious. Also sampled some of the eats, very tasty. Try the monkey muffin, just like monkey bread but without being too sweet. Great pairing with coffee. I’ll definitely return when in A-town.

This place is incredible. The People , service, coffee and breakfast was warm and inviting. I ordered two large coffee’s one dark and light and it was made to perfection. I also had one banana nut and pumpkin muffin which was served warm and moist in every bite. For this cool fall morning this place created a memory that will last for ever. Thanks everyone for having such a great vibe. 😘

I love this place! It is the one of few places that know how to make hot matcha tea. I also like the ambience inside. Hip yet quiet

First time here. Definitely not the last! Sandwich was excellent as was the iced coffee. Staff on the ball. A mistake was made on our order. The lovely prep lady caught the error even before we got back to our table. Correction made super fast. Busy at the time we were here, but, the wait was not long.

This is a great coffee shop for day to day remote work. I came around 5pm and it was quiet and had plenty of seating. I ordered the hibiscus tea and was happy with it after adding a little sweetener haha.

This coffee shop had a lot of parking available. Great atmosphere to enjoy coffee with friends while catching up. Plenty of seating inside. The hot wildflower lavender latte was very good. It was not overly sweet.

We reserved the The Nest at Monkey Nest Coffee for our work event this morning. Alex helped me organize the whole event and followed through with everything we talked about. The Nutty Irishman was so delicious! We also had a variety of their breakfast items, everything tasted fresh and homemade. The room was perfect for our meeting of 20 people and the atmosphere was very inviting. Thank you for everything!

I’ve been coming to this location randomly for years not and I have no complaints. The staff is nice, coffee is yummy, taco was good. Decent wifi, sitting availability, and good space between tables. I only wish there were reusable cups for the water instead of the plastic disposable ones at the moment. 🐒☕️

I've been asked many times about where one should get coffee, so I've made it an effort to try more spots. I recently came to Monkey Nest and damn, they have a good selection of specialty coffees to choose from! I got the: - Wildflower Lavender Latte: wildflower honey and lavender latte. For the person who likes something more herbal and light, this is for you! I'm not the biggest lavender enthusiast, but it was done nice and balanced here. ($4.99 for large) - 4/5 - Monkey's Uncle: peanut butter, chocolate, and banana. Imagine a chocolate dipped banana, but in coffee form! That's what this tasted like and damn it is SO GOOD!! The banana isn't artificial tasting either, so no worries there. This easily is one of my new favorite coffees in town! Must try!! ($4.99 for large) - 4.75/5 All in all, I am very satisfied with Monkey Nest. I'm a sweet drinker, so I'm highly satisfied with the vast amount of specialty coffees to choose from. I will definitely be back soon to try more! With all that said, I give them a 4.5/5 for being amazing!

This is my favorite neighborhood coffee shop. My wife and I walk here once a week to indulge in their delicious breakfast tacos and iced Thai coffee. The staff is so friendly and prompt service! I used to study here during my masters program and it was a great chill place to concentrate.

Staff goes above and beyond to be friendly, it’s a real joy to walk into this place. Service is quick and efficient, just about everything on the menu is delicious from the baked goods to the sandwiches. I come here multiple times a week to get my Thai Iced Coffee (a must try) and am always greeted and treated very well. Monkey Nest is probably my favorite way to start a given day. Love these guys!
