I’ve now been a couple times. This is still by far I'll one of the best breakfast sandwiches I’ve had in Austin. Each ingredient compliments each other. The English muffin and crispy hash brown were perfection! The espresso was great. Tons of seating outside and options inside. The Wi-Fi is very spotty outside. Staff were friendly. Food came out quickly even though they were busy but drinks seem to take a while. Order at the counter, take your seat, and it will be brought to you. The ham and cheese pastry was a good compliment to a cup of coffee. The cauliflower tots with beet ketchup are a very tasty vegetarian option. The chicken biscuit spicy is great for breakfast or lunch.

A great place for breakfast on the west side of downtown. They just opened a second parking lot which makes it an easy place to meet up. I really enjoyed my breakfast sandwich with impossible sausage. And it’s really awesome that they don’t upcharge for the vegan option! The ambiance is great. The whole place is built around a massive majestic tree. Sitting next to it makes my day every time.

Great local coffee shop / bar / restaurant. I adored the iced Americano (a lot of places get the ratio of water to coffee to cream wrong - they NAILED it). I also loved the cauliflower tots. I am not a cauliflower fan. I think it is normally overly and miss used. This was sooo tasty. The beet “ketchup” is both tasty to the palate and eyes ( I wish they served it so you could really see the color, the blue ramekin hides the stunning color). Plenty of parking and seating outside. Small amount of seating inside. They even have a cowboy pool out front if you need to cool off. Great neighborhood spot. Would totally go again.

This is a half-service type restaurant. You order at the counter and they bring your food out. No checking up on you. The food was good. The chips and queso were delicious. The Buffalo chicken biscuit was tasty but too drenched in the Buffalo sauce. I couldn’t eat the bottom piece of the biscuit because it was so soggy. Retrospectively I wish I’d ordered it plain.

I finally got the chance to try out this place. Parking can be a bit of a hassle even though they have free parking lot. This place can get very busy but the atmosphere, service, drinks and food all make up for it. I was very impressed with with all the drinks I tried. The food was always good quality and flavorful. If I lived near downtown this would have been my goto spot to chill with friends.

Delicious food and yummy drinks!!! This was definitely a cool, chill vibe to grab drinks with friends. The majority of the seating is outdoor and it has a fun backyard picnic vibe. Lots of tasty food choices, we got the hot chicken sandwich and the shrimp & crab risotto, definitely recommend both!!! Perfect for date night or chilling with a small group for a party.

Excellent hangout spot with a great patio and food. They share the outdoor picnic benches with Holdout brewery, so there’re plenty of beers, wines, cocktails to choose from. They also have a good menu of some staples like burgers and chicken sandwiches. Atmosphere alone is worth a visit on a cool fall night.

I'm so happy to have FINALLY eaten the cauliflower tots and burger at better half 🥹 the last time I went was for a quick happy hour with some coworkers after cyclebar, and I already had plans to eat with my friends so I sat there and just smelled how amazing everything was. This time, I finally got to have it myself. 🙌 the tots...I know they may seem intimidating, but they're LEGIT. Give it a try, it's amazing!

Better half is such a vibe! We went for late lunch/happy hour. The sangria was so good! (Pictured). I had the spicy chicken sandwich and my friends had the big summer salad. I didn’t love the zucchini noodles in my sandwich, would probably skip next time. My friends didn’t love the dressing on the salads. I think next time we would share a few appetizers because the drinks were the main star of the show.

Breakast is our favorite with top picks being the blue corn blueberry pancakes and the breakfast sandwich. Unfortunately, the pancakes are only offered on weekends. I prefer the yoke of the egg on the sandwich not so runny, and a bigger muffin would be nice. For me, the potato patty is unnecessary. Having said that, I still rate the sandwich a solid 8/10. When we arrived around ten on Saturday, the indoor seating was all taken, but plenty was available in the tents. But, a half-hour later, the tents were filling up. Forced air heat ducts kept the tents warm. Lots of parking is available in the rear dirt lot. Some kind of vintage clothing market was taking place in the front parking lot when we were there.

This place offers food, cocktails, beer and coffee. The cappuccino has always been consistent and very good, I go quite often for that. The food has not impressed me much but it's alright. The pastries change and they're pretty yummy. The location is great and they have outdoor seating too. Although the parking lot in the front is small and fills up quickly, there's another one in the back. Service has been pretty good, not always super friendly but decent.

This better half breakfast sandwich was worth every add on and every penny. How about that double breakfast sausage? The presentation (which I was too hungry too wait to share) shows they are truly about a personal touch. I also tried the orange dreamsicle latte with oat milk that was perfect. I do like the laptop free zone so you don’t have to fight for seats with people that are making it their office space. BUT the bathroom was way toooo dark!!!!! I walked in the ladies bathroom thinking it would lighten up but it was super dark. Two stalls and you couldn’t really see like you need to while taking care of business.

I was visiting town and book people recommended this place! So glad I listened. I got the lavender matcha latte and it was the perfect sweetness and taste to the matcha. The service was good! She made suggestions on drink and even asked what kind of milk I'd like, which is great and reminded me to always get almond milk. I ordered the breakfast sandwich and it was delicious! I ate the hash brown on the side because the sandwich was big! I got sausage and sunny side up eggs. You can get eggs however you like. The place was nice and it had outdoor dining. Busy during lunch hours and noice level was 3/5.

Such a beautiful spot to hang with friends on a Saturday morning, take your loved one on a date on a Friday evening, or have brunch with family on a Sunday. Better Half Coffee is certainly one of my all time favorite cafes, and I’m so glad it’s in ATX! Lots of cute pink benches are outside, some beautiful seating inside, and free parking available. With coffee and cocktails, there is definitely something in the menu you can enjoy. Oh, wait, did I mention their food is yummy?

I finally got the chance to try the Better Half Coffee & Cocktails where the parking lot in front is always packed when I drive by. It was lunchtime during the week and still a lot of customers here. Their menu is not huge but fined tuned where heard the food was very good. I ordered the Better Half Chicken Burger where the menu stated it was house ground chicken, Duke’s Many, Swiss cheese, and LTO. I also ordered a side of fries. There were other items I really wanted to try but will save them for my next visit. There was some seating inside where you had booth and bar top, but most was outside under oak trees. Being so hot outside I found a spot inside on a bar top. The service was excellent and soon my chicken burger arrived. It looked delicious and tasty. I took a bite and the chicken was so juicy and had great flavor. I enjoyed it where the seasonings were not too strong. The fries were also good. Afterwards I explore the grounds and found lots of picnic table seatings outside, a cowboy pool, and a beer brewery called the Hold Out … which gave a big reason to return. The place had a cool atmosphere and if you can find parking in from then drive behind it and will find a much larger parking lot.

Small menu, limited seating inside, huge outdoor seating area and limited parking. Had the chicken burger and it was really good. Supple bun and flavorful. Wife had the Harvest Salad and loved it.

It looks way better than it tasted. My two friends ordered the burger. Both of them said it was the worst burger they ever had. I'm not sure if it was an off-day. I wish it was better. Cool atmosphere, just give it a 5 because the food and service weren't great.

Plenty of table space, bathroom was clean, pastries looked delightful, bread for all sandwiches was clearly made fresh. Steak sandwich was delightful, focaccia was CRAVE-ABLE.

Come for the Happy Hour special for the delicious burger, what a deal. We stopped in for a friend's birthday celebration, cocktails only. But not our first time and definitely not our last. The staff is always great, the drinks are creative and delicious, and the food is really good. They have frozen drinks, hand made cocktails and stellar bartenders. Come out and enjoy with your friends and loved ones.

Excellent coffee, great outdoor seating and lots of it! I loved the Bunuelos. If you're a chocolate, cinnamon and orange flavor lover, you'll really like it. Dogs welcome too

We discovered this place on a Sunday afternoon and fell in love with their ambiance on the outdoor patio!! The restaurant is right next to Hold Out Brewey and very close to the river. It’s early spring now so chilling on their outdoor space with some drinks is the most ideal way to spend your Sunday! Staff are super friendly and helpful with giving advice on their drinks menu. I love my cocktail and my friend ordered match latte which looks super cute as well. Will come back with other folks to try their food :)

Better Half is always a great choice for brunch, it never disappoints. The food is great, coffee is good and the environment is perfect with plenty of tables outside and some inside. Dogs are welcomed too! I’ve been coming here quite a bit now and I like it, but I have to say I’ve seen a spike in prices and I just hope they don’t keep going up.

Easily my favorite weekly brunch in atx. The pastrami on the biscuit sandwich is heavenly tasting! Also Better Half has my favorite queso in Austin. The flavors are just elite and it doesn’t taste like melted velveeta like you may taste elsewhere.

Burger / Chicken and biscuits / Sangria / Burnt Cheesecake Burger: I would recommend it only during happy hour… Is not worth $12 Chicken and biscuit: I recommend it! Sangria: if you like very citrus with low on the sweetness Burnt Cheesecake: it’s ok

By far one of my favorite places in Austin, Texas! The food is so fresh, and the ambiance inside has a cool, hipster vibe to it! Plenty of seating outdoors for your furry pets, too. The only thing that is disappointing is if you want to add to your order- you will most likely have to wait another 15-30 min, because no matter how many items they will take tickets in order they were ordered.

Decent brunch, but the wait was kind of ridiculous... We had to wait close to an hour for our food to arrive, even though there was still seating available. The kitchen desperately needs to be scaled up. Other than the wait, the waffle iron hashbrowns was delicious. The chicken biscuit had some kind of Buffalo tasting sauce, so if you're not a fan of that, I wouldn't recommend it.
