Very nice coffee shop that is also a roasters I believe. Parking is a little funky so make sure you don’t too early because map apps will have you turning into a vacant building spot. Then inside is very cool with great service and importantly great coffee. The espresso shots are well pulled and their homemade beverages are excellent and well balanced.

Great coffee, kind baristas, beautiful interior, and lots of outdoor seating, Barrett’s coffee is certainly one of my favorite spots in north ATX! Free parking and washrooms available

A great coffee shop in my new neighborhood. Cozy and quiet just how I like my coffee shops. Staff were training so probably not the typical experience to have the ordering counter unattended which is understandable. It appeared they were roasting the coffee right in back?which if they do it on sight is awesome! The cappuccino was good, the espresso was smooth and slightly sweet. Parking is a bit awkward but as to be expected in a city.

Great coffee spot that’s worth the trek up. Roast their own beans so be sure to ask what beans are available to pick one that matches the types of flavors you like. The baristas are skilled enough to always make a great drink, and being able to order a cortado with the beans I want and receiving a very well pulled shot and delicious drink is a god send in this city. Tons of beans for sale as well, and you get a complimentary drink with your purchase of beans so feel free to grab something for home too. Lots of indoor space for seating, and 5-6 picnic tables outside.

Best coffee, amazing quality and friendly service and staff. This place is great for locals, and definitely one of the best stops to get your coffee from. These coffee units are refillable at a cheaper price, they keep your grounds fresh and you get a free drink when you refill your order. Plus, the packaging looks awesome. Love this place.

Best coffee I’ve had in Austin. Granted, I’ve only had 3-4 coffees in Austin, but this was a standout good! Plenty of spaces to sit and work or chill. Friendly staff. Def rec.

A cool little cafe on St. John’s that brews some great espresso. The inside is currently closed but they have some nice outdoor seating set up. They sell coffee by the pound in addition to a standard cafe drink menu. I love their decaf americanos, always super smooth and creamy when served black. It’s a great place for a quick cup or to chill with some friends for a bit.

Great coffee spot with knowledge baristas! The Ohayo was definitely the highlight of all the drinks we tried. The cortado and the Colombian drip were also good. Perfect space to study and get work done

The baristas here were so kind! They talked us through some options and explained their signature drink, orange blossom latte. I got that and my friend got the cappuccino. She said the cappuccino was one of the best foams she’s ever had. I liked my drink quite a bit flavor wise, it was just a bit sweet for me, I should’ve gotten it half sweet as I don’t typically add anything. Overall, good experience! I was thrilled to be able to bring my dogs in for our brief time inside.

Amazing coffee and wonderful service! A wonderful addition to this area. Their espresso is sooooo good. Been picking it up to go to rehearsals over at ACC Highland and it's been a great way to start my morning these past weekends!

The employees were awesome and friendly. Love the vibe of this place. I enjoyed sitting at the high top counter watching the barista make orders. I had a breakfast taco that was yummy and to drink had one of the seasonal specials and it was delicious! Nice variety of coffees and teas on the menu. Pastries and tacos for breakfast. They offer non dairy options as well.

This place is an A-Tier coffee shop in Austin. Great coffee, solid tacos, and a very nice space. The only reason for 4 Stars and not 5 is the lack of bike parking. I was told the white thingy in my picture is a bike rack, but I don't see how any bike would fit or access it. I ended up just attaching my bike to a loose sign, which was not secure. I will note that City Code requires 1 bike parking spot for every 10 car parking spot, and the lot has 11 car parking spots. If they put in a little U rack I will 100% update to 5 stars and probably buy one of those cool hats they are selling!

Best coffee in Texas. Everything is freshly roasted and purposefully sourced. The store itself is spacious and can accommodate up to moderately sized groups. There is seating inside and outside. Parking requires some creativity at times.

My absolute favorite coffee shop in Austin! Love the lattes here and will continue to love them. Would definitely recommend their lavender latte. The only thing that deducts a star for me is there seating is a bit uncomfortable and parking is very weird and hard to get out.

The Best Cappuccino! Truly 10 out of 10! Friendly staff, explained the menu, chill vibes inside the shop. Definitely a shared work space or a quit place to meet with friends. I mean, just look at that foam!

Quality: 5/5 Atmosphere: 4/5 Bathrooms: 4/5 Ordered iced vanilla latte and the blueberry muffin, both were great. It gets confusing when people order the same things with different milk variations and they are calling out the same drink with no names.

Super delicious chi! And unique honey lavender bun, soooo yummy, but know that little thing was $6! Good vibe, great service.

I've driven by this spot several times and finally decided it was time to stop in! The vanilla latte was made to perfection. Exactly what I was looking for. Will be back very soon. Instagram: food_and_travel0

The best coffee roaster in Austin. Come try their Ethiopian for a delightful roast. And their St John's blend is a solid everyday favorite for drip coffee.

Austin is lucky to have Barrett’s Coffee right in town. They have delicious coffee, each batch of beans roasted to perfection, every barista a master in making a wonderful cup of coffee. They have treats for pups, breakfast tacos from Brazas Tacos on weekdays and just added more outdoor seating. Definitely check out this place if you love coffee!

Not worth it. Parking is insane... that alone deters me. It's the closest coffee to my apartment but I haven't come here in the year I've been living here due to parking. 🤪 Now the coffee was watery. I got a latte with oat milk. Girl in front of me ordered latte with no milk alternative yet the guy making the coffee poured the same milk in my cup.🤔 (owner responded below.. so good to know! Def a plus! That's why I had a questioning face instead of accusing. Thanks for the response!!!)

I love Barrett’s, and I’m hesitant to rate 5 stars because I want to gatekeep this restaurant, but that isn’t very nice so I won’t! Staff is truly excellent, I sincerely hope they are all getting paid well. They make the experience. Really awesome cold brew and made to order drinks, like…..so good. If you’re always in a rush like me, buy their already prepped cold brew. Always have tacos in the morning, would love to see them get a larger variety of pastries, but I know that this is first and foremost a coffee shop/roaster. Always fun to do work here or swing by for some coffee. I love barrett’s <3

Absolutely love it and we keep coming back. They have fantastic drinks, roasts and they also do local delivery, what’s not to like. Must try coffee spots in Austin - sustainable and welcoming.

My very favorite coffee shop. My husband and I have been coming here for about a year and purchasing their bags of coffee to make at home. Once in a while we'll buy coffee from other shops but it never hits the same way that Barrett's does. It has a unique quality to it that makes it special. Great quality coffee at a good price and the service is always very friendly. They also have the Hario V60 filters in stock so we come for the convenience as well.
