As someone who works in a coffee shop I'll say the atmosphere was cool. The house brew is actually pretty good. However I was quite disappointed for my brother who ordered the Iced Bennu, which was like 1 part drink, 3 parts ice. (Should be the other way around) As well staffed as y'all are, I would revisit drink ratios Bennu Coffee; because you're kiiiiinda ripping off your customers.

Where else are you going to get espresso at 3am? Seriously, if you want Real Coffee at some crazy hour of the morning, this is pretty much the only game in town… (And yeah, the coffee isn’t bad!)

Good space for coffee and study/work/chill. Nice staff and the coffee/drinks are above average. The breakfast options are above average too. Location is a major plus!

Looks like a neat, quiet spot to study. I ordered a large hot coffee to-go, but the paper cup quality was atrocious. The coffee was decent, but this is the first time I've ever been to a cafe and had a problem with the quality of the cups... I was walking with the paper cup in my hand, and since the paper was very thin, it was very hot to hold (even with a sleeve) and didn't hold structure. Then within 30 minutes, the paper was so thin that the cup had deformed and started to get soggy and squishy. Pics attached. I'll emphasize that the coffee was actually quite good, decent prices, and the service was great, but I think I would've had a better time dining in or just with nicer paper cups.

I go here all the time. It's obviously a favorite for so many of its patrons because the place is never empty. Fair wifi speeds and catchy but simple drinks available and served by a completely capable, skilled, friendly, and quirky staff. This place is very welcoming and a lot of the patrons are also very friendly.

$6 for a double shot & some cream? Yeesh. Also, they wont steam heavy cream, buyer beware. 10 years in the coffee industry I never had that prob, just cut it with some half & half. People are nice enough. Thanks.

Kinda a rip off for coffee and their wifi expires after 3 hours, came here to work for a bit and asked for a new code and they told me I had to buy something else?? the wifi isnt even good here. Thought this was a weird system. Also their portions and proportions are just absolutely hilarious, insane amount of ice to avoid actually giving customers coffee and super small hot lattes, half the size of a normal small latte anywhere. Not to mention the baristas will just flirt with girls at the front of the line for ages when theres a whole line behind them. Not having it

I’ve been here twice in my early days in Austin and I’ve been happy with my coffee both times (I’m a cold brew aficionado). It’s one of the few places around that allows dine-in service right now and they do a pretty good job of keeping the tables spaced apart. I wish patrons would be more diligent in masking when they’re not actively eating or drinking. The wifi situation is a bit funny, you but something and then a unique code is generated to access it. Which is fine but the barista was a bit rude in presuming I was just there for the free wifi without intending to buy anything. Also the bathrooms are single seaters that remain locked so that’s a bit annoying. But small annoyances aside, this is a nice place, the staff are generally kind, and the coffee is good.

This is a wonderful coffee joint off Soco. It’s definitely a working and studying vibe. They are also open 24 seven which is great for those. Looking to get a late night or early morning fix. Their coffee selection is unique, and they have pretty good breakfast tacos, and baked goods. A good price for what you get. Nothing over-the-top or fancy about this place. Just good vibes and good coffee and food.

I love the staff! Such friendly people with wonderful smiles! I love the decor, it’s a cute and relaxing spot. My favorite is the bagel kolache with smoked sausage, a real treat. I love their lavender coffee as well.

Nice place. Clean and well maintained. Friendly and professional staff. The fact this is open late night is a significant plus!! While the beverages are available, I found that the food is not as readily available. And despite it's proximity to Austin, it's a good thing that parking is available.

We stopped into Bennu Coffee on Congress Ave in Austin Texas for a quick morning coffee. We each got a Iced Coffee, and they were both good. The staff was nice and there a nice amount of room inside. Parking is a bit difficult however, very small parking lot for how busy of an area it is in.

Lovely staff, no matter how bad a day I'm having I always leave feeling a little better. Excellent breakfast tacos. One of my go-to spots for a good matcha latte.

Love the place and the coffee. The staff are always friendly. Going to Bennu adds 4 miles to my commute and is in the opposite direction of my job. I literally drive past 6 coffee shops on my way there. Faithful customer since 2010.

Super friendly staffed! Asked for some recommendations and ended up getting a honey creme latte and adding lavender! The coffee was great! The atmosphere is very cozy and welcoming! Definitely check this place out!

I ordered an iced bennu and it was a good one. Just felt the coffee flavour was slightly overpowering. Staff was great and service oh so quick that coffee was ready even before I could tap for payment. I was however there for a meeting and felt the music was a little too loud and everyone sat so close that we could neither whisper nor raise voice.

An unplanned detour brought us here. Excellent coffee. Lots of choices. They have vegan options. The bathrooms were not clean.

I visited Bennu this morning wearing enemy gear (ATM), and the baristo was kind anyway. I asked for a mocha recommendation and one suggestion he gave was the Raven as being a less sweet option. I’m so glad I took his suggestion. Unlike most coffee house mochas, the Raven lets the coffee take center stage rather than cloying sweetness. Highly recommend.

Such a cool place! They have a variety of specialty mochas which are delicious. The atmosphere is very relaxed, and there are power strips everywhere which makes it very conducive for working/studying. The outdoor seating area is also nice and enclosed.

One of the few places that's open all the time. They've got coffee, tea, and vegan-friendly food as well as a printer!! Perfect spot for night owls to get work done, stop at after a graveyard shift, sunrise dates, etc.

Got two matcha green teas while waiting for an event to start downtown. The drink itself wasn’t bad, but also not the best green tea I’ve had in Austin. It’s a bit expensive (6+) compared to a Starbucks (5+) drink.

great vibes and great service. the baristas made me feel like they knew me for years and it was my first time there. amazing coffee too and the presentation is beautiful. only critique for me is that there weren’t many outlets so i couldn’t plug my laptop in, since it was busy when i arrived

Great coffee and a convenient place to hang out late at night while I created music, prose, or what have you. I love the pizza selections and the staff was always friendly. I moved to Berlin recently but I'll always have a warm spot in my heart for this place.

A great coffee shop here in downtown Austin. The prices and internet is great and the coffee is good to boot. I tried their pizza and one of their handmade peanut butter cups and both are delicious. I'll definitely miss coming here.

Went here to pick up coffee and a muffin. The service was very quick and everything tasted good! They have Wi-Fi and a lot of tables with outlets to sit and work. Will go there again to work from there.

I don’t normally order a taco at a coffee shop but I was hungry, so I did … I’m pretty sure tacos aren’t made here at the coffee shop but wherever these tacos are brought in from please tell them to cook their tortillas. My taco filling was wrapped in raw dough, 🤢 gross!

Used to love this coffee shop until today. Service was poor, the barista was either having a bad day or just hates his job. I’ve always seen non service dogs in here, even brought my dog here once, but today when I came back with my dog some guy who works here said dogs aren’t allowed here unless they’re service dogs. No more gluten free options which was nice and convenient. It’s not the same coffee shop it used to be before COVID. Won’t be coming back

Nice spot for coffee & pastries. Both indoor & outdoor seating. Very friendly staff! I recommend the 50/50 Bennu & House Iced brew. Request “light ice” if you’re worried abt getting enough.

The coffee shop on congress that a lot of people go to study and work on their laptops. It's open 24/7 and they have a good selection of drinks. Lots of places to sit, but it is usually very packed. There is also an outdoor area. If I come at night and don't need caffeine I order the Texas Gold tea lathe. I prefer coming in at night, it's a chill vibe and they usually have good music playing. Glad this coffee shop is here on Congress and open 24/7!

Really nice coffee in a relaxed atmosphere. Wide variety of breakfast choices. They have tamales from Tamale Addiction. Sooo good!

The Raven mocha coffee was delicious highly recommended. The dark chocolate complements the coffee like no other. This is how I will be making my coffees going forward

Seems like a cool place from the photos but its very outdated. They have never spent a penny on furniture and probably have collected the furniture from the disposal. Very uncomfortable. And the fact that you have to buy the internet, you guess the rest. I paid for internet without purchasing anything because I didn't feel like drinking a coffee at that time. Later, I asked for a few coffee beans which the barista refused to provide! what a customer service

Some sequels don't live up to the original but this Bennu is familiar enough but not just a copy of the original. I've always had good service here, seating is nice inside or outside, and a great spot to work or study. They have some great options that aren't the standard affair: you can a steamed cold brew with a local made butter/MCT oil bomb or my favorite a red roobios tea called Texas Gold (cinnamon amazing flavor and no caffeine) parking is limited and the other businesses will tow during regular hours. At the moment not 24 hours but not much is these days.

Fred and the rest of the morning staff are AWESOME. Always super friendly and personable, and the espresso drinks are delicious. I used to go to Jo’s in the morning and now this is my go-to. Better drinks for what you spend.

Beautiful little coffee shop. It was super busy and full of college students quietly studying by themselves or in groups, so it seems like a great place for getting work done. The coffee was excellent and had fun literature based names for the mochas. Despite the crowd, the coffee came out very quickly.
