Had dinner here as was staying at the winery and really enjoyed it. The food was great and we were looked after very well by the waiters. Enjoyed Crispy Thai Prawn Fishcakes, Tom Yum Mayonnaise was really tasty. We had the Porterhouse Steak and Chermoula Roasted Lamb Rump for main, both were perfectly cooked and a quality pieces of meat. Finished with the Sticky date pudding, which we enjoyed thoroughly Highly recommend a visit and was even more impressed they had a special on the steak as well on a Saturday night

Love Mr Grubb. Visited a few years ago with a friend. Stayed at Oakdene accommodation this time and it made a weekend away on Bellarine Peninsula. Had lunch and dinner at Mr Grubb last Saturday. Enjoyed the pork belly for lunch and pumpkin and potato gnocchi for dinner. Bang bang chicken is awesome, but wanted to try different dish this time. Mocktail was so refreshing and their Shiraz was super too. Can't fault Mr Grubb. Meals are delish 😋😋 Photos for inspiration 😃

Just perfect service. Servers were above and beyond and so helpful friendly. Everyone in my group was SO happy their meals and I brought two very picky eaters, I am absolutely returning asap!

Wish I could give 10 stars for atmosphere, food and staff. Awesome place, wholesome, beautiful food with lots of flavour. This will be our new local without a doubt. Thank you for the great feed and vibe. The staff were generous and helpful with our 15 month baby and his lunch too. Friendly and highly recommended.

Went here for an anniversary dinner and the meal was over priced and not nice. The atmosphere was lovely and relaxing. I wouldn't have an evening meal here again, perhaps its better in the day for lunch.

This is my and my family’s favourite place to eat. The meals are outstanding especially the lamb pizza please keep that on the menu!!! The staff are so attentive and knowledgeable and kind. It’s a beautiful atmosphere whether you’re indoor or outdoors. Beautiful gardens and surroundings and THE best wine!!!

Excellent fresh, delicious creative food. Great value for money at $70 feed me option. Would highly recommend. A bit noisy and that’s why I gave 4 instead of 5 for atmosphere. An exception waiter. All 6 of us loved our meal!!

The food was pretty good! Menu was diverse and the kids meals came out quick which is always a saviour. The ordering system was weird and clunky as you were only able to order drinks from the table top and would be good to also have the food ordered from this too. Waitress was a little flat, seemed to be not enjoying the day! The atmosphere was vibrant but in saying that no music in the background.

The restaurant is part of a much bigger property with a winery and some accommodation. The atmosphere is quite nice, there is lots of space for seating. The staff were very friendly however unfortunately it took an hour for us to get our food, which we thought was too long considering it was nearly 2 pm. I was there with a group of seven friends, five of us ordered the scotch fillet, one of us got one of the pizzas and one got a parma. The scotch fillet was $42 and the quality of the steak was about what we paid for. The chips and mushroom sauce were very nice, the presentation was ok but the medium-rare steak itself had some more room for juiciness/flavour. Overall still recommend going if you’re in ocean grove as the whole property has a good vibe to it but try book ahead of time and go when it’s not too busy. Thank you for the experience!

Dined last night with a large family party The only minor problem was a very overcooked Schnitzel However, servic, atmosphere and every other dish were amazing. Your crew are professional and friendly, love the murals and our dishes were fantastic. Thank you, made my daughters birthday special

We had a lovely evening celebrating a special birthday. Joseph was outstanding; making sure we enjoyed every aspect of our dining experience! We always enjoy the warm and inviting surrounds of Mr Grubb and the food has always been enjoyable.

Vegan burger was a little dry but still tasty. Could've done with some sauce. Chips were fine. Chai latte was good. Very nice atmosphere and friendly staff. A little expensive

Great restaurant with excellent service and delicious food. Pizza was fresh and delicious. The tasting plate is a selection of starters - perfect for sharing. Super busy so its definitely worth booking ahead to ensure you get a table. Make sure you visit the cellar door before (or after) eating.

From my 7 year old daughter: I think everyone in the world needs to go here to try a frog in the pond! It is the best restaurant in the world, except for the ones that have puppies!

The service is so-so, I asked for a table on the veranda and we were refused only because we did not book in advance, although there were free tables.They carried the food for a very long time😚we waited about 30 minutes with two small children😣 The food was so-so, it seems to me over the price. I wanted walkaround to take photo but all the vineyards were closed👎We live near by but i dont come back any more there👎

Only one fault with this place, and it's the lighting. Way too harsh, needs too be softer, ambience is ruined by downlights everywhere. LED lamps on tables and lamps in the corners, would be perfect. Staff were excellent, food was excellent. So many different places here to eat, great venue.

The winery is eclectic and you must visit. the restaurant ambiance is inviting. Unfortunately our order was taken incorrectly for one of the dishes. However, staff were were attentive and they rectified the order. We ordered a pasta main which has white wine in it. The dish appeared like a soup rather than a pasta with a white wine sauce.

Mr Grubb is part of a bigger property with a winery, some tourist attractions, accommodation and an events venue? The restraint itself has two large areas for seating, indoors with two rooms, and a large outside space on a wooden decking. On a Summers’s day, outdoors is a must! Staffing was not an issue, a low waiter to customer ratio meant our orders were taking quickly and needs met. Food lunch options are a mix of seafood, pizzas a and grazing boards. Recommendations for the red meat or pasta over the grazing boards. Wines to match.
