Make no mistake, these practitioners will twist your words to create a view that is extremely favourable to insurers. For a mere $1200 they can make a claim go away. Insist on a support person being present. Despite what they say you're entitled to respect, safety and privacy according to the Australian Charter of Healthcare Rights which applies to work-cover examinations as unfortunately it's a flawed system and they know it well. Should you be examined here consider lodging a complaint with The Office of the Health Ombudsman about the practitioner, their conduct and how their reports focuses on removing any liability from an insurer. Consider the strong views written by Occphyz going against anything your practitioners have stated likely suggesting a pre-existing injury or perhaps that it's non-work related and how perhaps Occphyz are not truly acting objectively. Be warned the practice manager is a lovely person, until you lodge a complaint with the OHO.

No Stars for this review . I went to Dr Cunneen for a Workcover Permanent impairment assessment. I’m writing this if you are thinking of going to him for this; go elsewhere!!! He negated to even write on my assessment I have scarring he put 0% even a 2 year old unskilled person would be able to see that . Every 1% on an assessment counts to the assessment total and goes to question his whole ability to provide a fair report if failing to write and provide an accurate report. This may be so he can keep in the back pockets of workcover. Just so you are aware. I have rejected this offer and will be going to the Medical tribunal as a next step. Beware !! Don’t go here for Permanent Impairment Assessments .

I was seen by Dr Chris Cunneen under workcover. This appointment was requested by workcover. I read previous reviews prior to my appointment and was a little nervous. After meeting with him, I’m not sure why any one would give him anything but 5 stars. He is professional, thorough and extremely experienced in his field. Not only that he is personable and made me feel at ease. I want to get my life back, I want to get back to work and be productive again. Maybe that’s why others gave him less of a rating than I did. Maybe it more about them than about him. I couldn’t recommend him more.

Absolutely awful service, spoken down to, degraded and lied to.... gave them full access to my medical treatments etc that was all he used to make his opinion. Didn't matter how Physically able, flexible you were at all. Definitely will not be going back....no empathy, compassion, obviously getting hand outs from some organisation. Total Hypocrite, no communication skills what so ever, thinks he's still in the forces!!

I would highly recommend Dr Cunneen, he is thorough and takes the time to listen. His medical opinion is reasoned and considered. Reception staff were genuine and warm.
