Lions Lookout

Tourist attraction

🫀 Road up and down is very narrow, not much parking and the surrounding trees have obscured almost all of the view. Would be a nice spot for a BBQ. People often mention trees, view, lookout,

Lots of potential, lots of neglect. The trees have blocked the views, the facilities are unkept and the atmosphere is dark and eery. Doesn't feel very safe. There are glimpses of what the lookout could be through the tree branches. Hopefully someone takes initiative and brings it back to its former glory.

Quaint little spot up the hill. A shame that it’s poorly maintained though - trees are just blocking the view.

The drive up is narrow and winding (only scary if you're not used to local roads), and then there's a pretty nice BBQ picnic area with electric barbecues. Sadly the views from the lookout are mostly obscured by trees now, but it's still a pretty place to visit and get away from Murwillumbah while not going more than a few hundred metres. *Steep climb, only walk up here if you're keen for a hefty hike!

What a waste of space. Look at what? Could be great views of mount warning

A nice lookout that is easy to get to and makes for a nice, quick visit. Only problem with the lookout is that trees have obviously grown over time and are starting to block the view. There is an area with picnic tables and BBQs for public use.

Still don't bother, no view for the windy slim track up

Someone has had a campfire on the lookout viewing platform. The campfire looks very old which means the lookout has not been cleaned up for a long time. The view is almost completely obliterated by Flora. On the positive side it is a nice spot for a barbecue. Electric barbecues are provided.

May have been a good view once but the trees have since gotten in the way

A total waste of time traveling up to Mullumbimby's Lions Lookout .. as the views are now mostly blocked by tall trees

Very poor directions if using Google maps, then when you reach the 'lookout' the only thing you see are the tree tops blocking the view!

Waste of time. Nothing to see here. View completely blocked by trees.

You literally can’t see anything for the trees. Bit of a waste of time 😞
