The Hostel itself is cute and quirky, definitely a bargain. I stayed in the all-female dorm. As a solo female traveler, I felt safe. The bed was comfortable. I had my own power outlets and light. There is a functioning A/C and heating unit in the room. The only downside of the room is that there was a rat. To be fair, it is the outback, but I would have appreciated a few more proactive measures to ensure critter repellence. The showers were clean and effective. I would advise management to get new shower heads. The kitchen was clean and organized. My favorite part was the garden. I loved swinging in the hammocks and the star projections at night. The decor is really cute as well. The staff is friendly and supportive. I only had good interactions. Definitely a good hostel for quiet and sensible backpackers. It's also a pick-up point for many tours, which is a plus!

I loved my stay at Alice’s secret travel inn! It is my favourite hostel I’ve stayed in and I kept extending to stay longer. It’s nice that it’s a small hostel and you can get to know everyone and they’re all really nice. Such a chill, safe place. I will be back.

This hostel feels like a sanctuary. Everything about it is cozy and inviting. There is an adorable outdoor space, plenty of places to relax, and a fully outfitted kitchen. The sleeping areas are uniquely themed and you can tell that there’s a lot of love put into each of them. But by far the best part of the Alice Secret is the customer service! Rachel and James go above and beyond to make sure each guest has the best experience possible. Thanks for an amazing time in Alice!

Super quirky and budget friendly hostel located within walking distance to the main centre. Reception staff were lovely, accomodating and always willing to help. Check in was simple and has private fenced parking. Bathroom was clean and bedding was adequate. Mattress and pillows are a-bit worn down. For those who are camping there is a whole bucket of used gas canisters behind the reception door, left by the guests there. It’d save you some money. There’s also an online promo code in the kitchen for those wanting to grab takeaway from Bella Alice, a local pizza restaurant. I’d definitely come back to stay here. Thank you so much for the stay!

I only stayed here during the night so have no idea what it looked like in the day. The reception closed at 7pm but they left decent instructions on getting to the room. Vibe was great and hostel had good amenities. Could have been cleaner. I got a free upgrade so my room was pretty cool. Again a unique experience. Felt clean and had room for my suitcase.

One of the best hostels I've been in. It's just a few minutes from the city centre and very small and cozy. The shared areas like the garden, kitchen and book room were all clean and other guests were friendly too. Staff was very helpful as well, even helped us with a tour we booked and explained everything. There were no options to lock your luggage in the shared dorms but I usually keep my important stuff on me at all times anyways

Alice’s secret is an amazing hostel that I didn’t want to leave. The staff, amenities and beds were all great. The pool is fantastic on hot days! The hostel makes a perfect setting for a day’s rest between travelling and tours. I was even given free eggs from the owner direct from the chickens on the premises! Much love to the staff! Thanks Alex

Excellent Hostel. Friendly and warm owners who give you a hand with whatever they can. I really enjoyed my stay. I was happy with the car parking, the owners do their absolute best to make it work for everyone with the facilities

The guy behind the desk was great. Told me all about what there is to do, and what to watch out for. Even loaned me a bug net for my uluru tour. The room was clean and had a reasonably good air-conditioning.

Last minute I was looking for a place to stay in Alice Springs for 2 nights and I found Alice’s Secret Travellers Inn. First of all they were really helpful with my request of room/rooms despite they were almost fully booked. I am so happy I got to stay and visit this place because it was just mega great! The atmosphere, the vibe, the creative design and most important the help and hospitality from Sebastian and his staff. Everything was just great! If you want to stay in a super cool place and enjoy your time. Book!

Enjoying this backpackers that has personality plus. Showers fab. All bathroom facilities cleaned daily. Has good laundry facilities, clotheslines for drying washing in this gorgeous sunshine. Staff very nice. Hire push bikes available. They in excellent condition, perfect getting around $20 day.,I biked out to Desert gardens in 15mins. (Well worth a visit) Large communal kitchen. Two cookers. Huge fridges etc. I enjoyed “the library” Well stocked with decent reads. Great location- 3 min walk to town.

Loved Alice's Secret as a HQ before and after our Larapinta Trail hike. The staff super friendly and accommodating. The facilities including kitchen and laundry where clean and well equipped. And the location was easy walking distance to the town centre. Thanks guys for making everything super easy for us. Great Value!

Awesome place, quirky, quiet, secure and ideal for single traveller. I had a private room, but firms looked nice too. Has a good kitchen, laundry, free wifi and they store luggage whilst you hike or go on tours. Short 5 minute walk to shops in town.

This is the most wonderful hostel I've ever been too. It's a bit weird, but that's the charm. Wish we stayed here longer. Although Alice Springs is sometimes characterized as unsafe, we noticed nothing about that during our stay. It mostly concerns petty crime by bored youngsters and when off the street after sunset you will be fine. This hostel has a strong fence, so nobody with bad intentions will come in. The kitchen is a spacious meeting place and especially the garden is an oasis. The private rooms are noisy. Great place to hang out, swim and meet people when in Australia's Red Centre!

Feels like a home away from home. Loved my stay at Alice Secret. Awesome set up place with lovely big gardens, hammocks, reading corner, pool, fully equipped kitchen, shower, and anything you could need. Staff are very friendly and always helpful. You can see the place is made with love and everywhere you go you find fun and quirky murals, signs, ornaments etc. Very colourful and stylish 😃. Relaxing small hostel very close to town center

Great hostel in alice springs! It has a nice outdoor area with hammocks, a pool, a barbecue, a nice big kitchen, hot showers, laundry, and even workout equipment. My only complaint is that they do not have curtains on the bunkbeds or lockers for your things in the dorms but the rest of the facilities make up for it!

I have stayed at hostels so many time during my world trip and this hostel is one of the best hostels I’ve ever stayed at. The atmosphere in the shared kitchen is great and a very backpacker friendly place. There are a lot of free condiments you can use. The young lady at the reception is very friendly and familiar with the town and explained to us about the hostel and town center.

An amazing little secret just outside of the town centre. We felt safe and comfortable throughout our stay. Close enough to town to walk in for a coffee and delicious baked goods from The Bakery, or out for dinner. Welcoming and friendly owners and staff, clean facilities, beautiful garden area with hammocks and nice pool. Lots of quirky ornaments and decorations around the place. Highly reccommend staying here while in Alice!

Lovely hostel run by a lovely couple. The hostel offers a huge kitchen, that is clean and very well equipped. The shared areas are very inviting, hence having a random chat about your travels and life is almost inevitable. The garden is decorated very funky and colorful, there is a small pool to cool down and if you need anything, management is there for you, they will try their best to assist you in any way and make you feel welcome in their little oasis. You won't regret your stay at Alice's Secret Travellers Inn! Also, almost forgot, they have free and secure parking !

Fab hostel a short walk from the main street of Alice. Everyone was super friendly, and the ski lodge room was fun to stay in, and even had a handy deck to work on. The pool was great to relax by and in on a hot day. Saila was amazing throughout our stay. Would highly recommend staying here when in Alice.

Easily one of the best if not the best hostel we've ever stayed at. It's quirky, homely, cozy, and clean all at the same time. It's clear that Seb and Miriam care about the guests and do everything they can to make them feel at home. We stayed here for one night, but came back for another one a week later. Definitely Alice's best secret!

Great oasis hidden away on the other side of the Todd. It’s very safe, the garden and pool area is a lovely place to relax, the decor is quirky and fun and the facilities are clean and well maintained. Rules are clearly communicated and there are multiple rooms and areas to spend time. If you’re travelling on a budget or just want a different experience, like we did, it’s a fantastic option.

Very affordable, incredibly funky decor, interesting people staying, very pleasant management. You can pick the individual accomodation if you want to be a lil more fancy, but it's still a hostel. There's some mice around at the moment so you'll need to store your food in a tub in the kitchen which I assume is a normal practice in places like this.

Probably one of the best hostel I have stayed in during the past three years in Australia. During my stay I felt more like I was living inside a big cozy house rather then a hostel. Thank you Seb and Bennet for helping me to service my car, and thanks also to the rest of the girls and guys that are working/helping to keep this hostel awesome! You rock!

Such a cool place to stay! You can really feel the fun and magic of the place. There is real thought and attention to detail with all the fun and quirky elements to each room. We booked the Betty Boop bud and the private alpine cabin with bbq/patio. The hostel is comfortable and quiet and real value for money. It would fill everyone's needs. Seb was so nice and easy to talk to and have some brilliant recommendations on activities around town. Highly recommended.

A hidden gem. Plenty of quirk. Comfy, conveniently located, fun, well-equipped. Beautiful garden with many places to sit, from hammocks to tables to hanging swings to deck chairs. Book room, TV room, large kitchen, pool - couldn’t ask for much more. Would stay again if back in Alice!

Had the pleasure of spending many weeks here over the course of the Central Australian winter, and I can honestly say it’s one of the best hostels I’ve stayed in anywhere in the world. Seb and Miriam who run Alice’s Secret are incredibly lovely and helpful; the atmosphere is welcoming, warm, and relaxed; the kitchen space is decked out with everything you need to make proper meals; the pool on those hot Alice days is a godsend; and it’s a super short walk to town. But the main thing as mentioned is simply the atmosphere there. I met some wonderful people during my stay and had many fantastic conversations, as this place tends to attract quality, interesting, and respectful people. Will definitely be returning in the future. Thanks heaps Seb and Miriam!
