Thanks to Max we enjoyed a quick and easy breakfast and lattes this morning. We loved the little savoury plate options.

I got the ‘Bruschetta’ from the breakfast menu to take away. This consisted of 5 cherry tomatoes and maybe 10 tiny cubes of avocado for $16.50 I didn’t open the box until I had already got home otherwise I would have taken it back. Absolutely zero value for money.

I ordered the chicken & mushroom lasagna - played find the chicken & mushroom amongst stodgy pasta layers. The bechamel sauce was stodge which led me to believe it was about 3 days old! Hubby had fish & chips was actually fish goujons. Basic but edible. Coffee was good & lady who served us was lovely but the food definitely lets it down. Left most of my lunch as inedible 😔

The food each time I have been was delicious, however, it can be a bit pricey and thus making it a place I go for special occasions. I've also had the coffee and though it's not the best I've ever had, it is definitely in my top 10 places to get a decent cup of coffee.

Very expensive for what you get, basic toastie $15, salad $16 and no dressing and quite small. Hot choc was good though.

$7.50 for an iced coffee with plant based milk. Extremely overpriced for the coffee quality.. tiny size also (I will share a picture). What happened to the $4-$5.50 coffee days? Might as well support a small family owned cafe down the road.

Mugs of cappuccino were very small. Prices were expensive for what you got. Not good value for money The food came as very small serves, despite which it was cooked nicely. I do not think I would return.

I loved my smashed avocado with fetta 😍 avo tasted fresh and the bread was delicious. They prepared my hot chocolate with coconut milk as I requested and the staff was so professional and friendly. I felt spoiled. I would definitely come back here.

I ordered a coffee and one of the iconic cup cakes this morning. I remember them being so delicious from the original Shingle Inn in Adelaide Street, Brisbane .. Many Years of buying birthday cakes cup cakes and savoury items. I was so disappointed it was dry and stale, I left it . On leaving the cafe I mentioned it to staff. They said sorry but also said they were fresh from the delivery a day earlier. Seemed indifferent. No recompense or offer of something else. I know it’s a small thing but I wanted to give you this feedback .

We had coffee only. The Coffee was bitter and trying to find a clean table was hit and miss. I cleared the table we sat at onto another dirty dish cluttered table and they were not busy

Waffles were burnt and hard and smashed avo was lukewarm at best. My mother and I won’t be eating here again
