We were so happy we chose to stay here! Terri was such an awesome host and her home is so beautiful. Our room, bathroom and kitchen area were all spotless, so well equipped and the view was unreal! I would happily stay here every time I come to Cooktown in future. Thank you so much Terri!

We were so fortunate to have found Riva La Vista and will definitely be returning. It is perched overlooking the Endeavour River and close to the town centre where you can casually walk about reading up on many historical facts about Cooktown, or decide which of the many fishing spots you'll cast a line from, or find a number of places to get a good feed. It's also located partway up Grassy Hill which has an historical lighthouse and uninterrupted views to the Coral Sea at it's apex. Our hosts, Terri and Ric were welcoming and made us feel like old friends. They were expert hosts in being easily contacted if needed but also allowing all the privacy we wanted. The room we stayed in was spacious and airy, with a large window overlooking the river, a very comfortable king bed and large shower within the ensuite. The room opened out to a shared kitchen/living space which was a great zone for relaxing, taking in the abundant birdlife, and soaking up the amazing view of Endeavour River, which is beautiful both day and night. You can really lose time sitting on the swing chair and gazing out. We cannot praise this accommodation and our hosts enough. Terri has ticked every box you could want in a vacation home. Thank you Terri and Ric for a great long-weekend.

Best hosts ever! They had the best tips where to go and what to do. The room was great, very spacious and brand new. There's a great view from the property. There is also a sink, kettle, toaster, fridge and barbecue available for guests to use
