Clarke Gorge walking track

Tourist attraction Hiking area

👍👍 Most stunning hike I’ve ever done! Worth the drive but 4WD or at least SUV highly recommended to get here… starts from the campground. You will cross the river many times so I ended up walking most of the way barefoot which isn’t so smart I know. Next time I’ll bring crocs LOL

Beautiful, adventurous, and just under 5 km. There are multiple river crossings and make sure you have 2 pair of shoes. I highly recommend crossing the river wearing shoes.

A relatively easy 2km hike through a spectacular gorge with an amazing waterfall at the end. It requires crossing the creek several times. When the water is above the steppingstones the rocks are very slippery, it is far easier to cross the creek by leaving your hiking boots on.

Bring water shoes (it's frigid). The trail crosses the creek several times and you won't want to linger in it. Follow the trail for 2 km to the waterfall then turn back. Encountered a tiger snake and tons of lizards along the trail in early March

A must do in the area. This walk requires 10+ water crossings.

You’re going to cross 9 gorges (18 times total) so get ready to get your shoes, feet, and legs wet. GORGEous views 😍 would come back in the summer for a swim?

Great walk, saw plenty of trout. there’s a cave near the top of the waterfall, no access without serious gear and skills, appears to have significant flow through it.
