Beautiful place to take your wife, partner or friend for a treat. Breakfast and lunch daily The staff are so friendly. If you need to make a change to part of a meal it's never a problem. This is a family owned business, employing local people. I've seen how far they have come with hard work and great choices. ELK on 38 well done.

Love Elk on 38 😋😍 Food is delicious 😋 especially the waffles topped with ice cream, cream, strawberries, chocolate sauce, and Belgium chocolate ♥️ The coffee bucket goes down well, and there is lots of variety of coffee, tea, and hot chocolate is made out of real Belgium chocolate. Staff friendly, always happy. The dark walls with many little tables to sit in make it an awesome atmosphere.

Came here for breakfast and to sum up what an excellent experience here . You can see the owners excellent attention to detail with everything here. Not the usual small old teapot, but a beautiful large designer one that doesn’t stew the tea and beautifully presented on a lovely platter with a good sized pot of milk. The muffin was perfect, warm, fresh and tasty and as an added bonus it came with some cream ( I would recommend you change to double cream rather than spray cream) The cafe looked lovely inside and I can’t wait to come back for tapas and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Prices were excellent and not the rip off you normally get in the area for poor quality and service. Congratulations to the owner for the care and thought that is obvious in all about the place. It was not what I was expecting in a small rural town! I will be back !

We’re new to the area and so pleased to have found this little gem. Good food, friendly staff and a warm seat in the sun during this cooler snap was perfect. I highly recommend and would (and will) come again!

Could try harder. The atmosphere and decor were very appealing, and we enjoyed our coffee and cake eventually, but here are 5 disappointing issues we encountered: 1. There was a LONG delay in bringing our very small order (coffee and cake) which they must have known about when we placed our order, so advising us with a smile and apology would have been much preferable to the mounting frustration we felt. 2. Why serve coffee in takeaway cups when we are dining in? 3. No coffee spoon or napkin was provided at the table or by the server- we had to go and ask for these. 4. Providing a plastic spoon to eat a (delicious) pecan pie felt cheap and nasty. 5. There were no hand towels or driers in the loo.

Great little surprise in a small country town of only 7000 people. Elk on 38 in Marricksville has great coffee, food, staff and atmosphere.

The staff were an absolute delight! Music and atmosphere was such a vibe. The food was delicious and poached eggs were cooked perfectly!! Would recommend 10/10. Such a spunky, refreshing little town! xoxo

Four of us had a different selection of food and all enjoyed very much. The service was equally as good. We ate inside which at times was very echoey. Very well priced. Overall great

I come here all the time in my lunch breaks, it's a great little cafe/bar. My favourite food is the chicken paninis and the coffee is fantastic! I've tried other cafes in the area but Elk on 38 is simply better quality.
