Great place for a family outing. Beach on one side, lake on the other - along with sand dunes and bush tracks. You just can't go wrong. Also has brand new amenities (toilets and change rooms). Decent amount of parking also. There is a 10min trek to get down to the beach (some steep steps also) - not easy for the less mobile. But if you can well worth it. We love going. The kids call it the "Secret Beach" because of the trek to get down to it.

Nice secluded beach. $12 entry to the National Park. Short walk from the car park to the beach. Public toilets on the way. Not wheel chair accessible. Bit of a steep walk down to access the beach

Watta cool spot! In the heart of this stunning park. Stay for the safe swimming beach, drenched in parkland surrounds or use this a starting point for a walk into the park proper. Feels like you’ve escaped Sydney even though it’s close enough for day trips. Bring snacks but take your rubbish home 😊

Beautiful place for a swim or fish plenty to see around there with a neat little water fall and plenty of parking and bbq's around. The view is priceless and on a good weather day the water is very inviting for the swimmers. There is also a nice clean creek for the kids to explore while u sit back and chill.

Definitely worth a 45-50 minute drive from Sydney. Make a day of it and visit here for a fun family day out or just to escape and reboot for the day. There is plenty of parking but I'm sure it would be busy during weekends and school holidays. Sunscreen is a must as there isn't much of a shade at the beach. The river is safe for those enjoyed just a dip and for those who are curious, there is gentle surf on the beach itself. There are tracks and trails for you to explore the cliffs which are amazing too view. $12 per vehicle is worth the entry. Definitely a go to and on the list of place to venture away for the day. Worth a look.

Great spot to come and relax for a tea. Though, I would never come here on a weekend as it's so busy. During the week is perfect.

Nice and clean beach, great scenery But the bathrooms are not clean, there is no clean water for washing. The path to go down to the beach is narrow, old and very dangerous for children The entrance to the beach is separate from the beach, you need to come down from huge rocks and cross the ocean water when the waves are strong sometimes to reach the beach, I don't know why a safe path was not built there it is a family beach and a lot of children There is not much parking, for a $12 entrance fee, I think this beach needs to provide more services

Beautiful destination!!!! Great for a day trip and a dip. Went on a long weekend so it was quite busy which was to be expected but there was plenty of beach and grass space to work with. Once the car park is full they close the road down so you have to trek it from the main road. Do not recommend this on a hot day!!!! Worth the walk however!

It's a nice place for a picnic. Head out there with a picnic basket and spend a day. You can have a dip in the sea or in the water from the fall, pick one, pick both, make it a day. I have seen a couple of people jump off the fall as well which I wouldn't recommend that but apart from that it's a beautiful place.

There isn’t a lot of places in the world where you can swim at a waterfall and the beach at the same time. Tips: Pick the tide. You’ll be crossing a small creek or a large creek depending when you come. Come early, beat the crowds. It’s $12 to get on. Be prepared for that. Once your on the beach / creek it’s a bit of a mission to get to the toilets.

Bit of a drive for me but well worth it. The beach dips very quickly into a deep section and when I went there the waves formed close to the shore. The lagoon was perfect and calm with a rock that you can jump off of into the lagoon. The sand is quite rough in comparison to other beaches but the water is great. Only problem is the travel to get here. Great place to bring people of all ages because the lagoon section is wonderfully calm.

Lovely beach with nice trails to explore throughout the day. You have to go down some stairs and wade across the water to reach the beach so make sure you don't mind getting wet! Some people dive off the cliff which is fun to watch as well. Definitely a great place for a family day.

Fall in love at first sight with this beach... Easy and fun walk for kids not too far from the carpark Some shallow area in Coote Creek for kids to swim.

Its a nice spot for day out, sandy beach, waterfall and beautiful ocean lookout from the cliff. however, big downsize is there is no Shower facility to clean up the sand and saline water you carried from the beach. No drinking water facility (bubbler), you paying $12 entry fee.. I will not go again.

Make a day of it and visit here for a fun family day out. There is plenty of parking but don't get here too late in the day otherwise you may miss out. Take plenty of suncreen as not much shade once you're on the beach itself. The river is safe for kids and for the grown ups there is the gentle surf in the beach itself. We had the best time here!

It is impossible to understand how beautiful nature can be with words and pictures. I can't even explain how beautiful Wattamolla Beach is. A small beach surrounded by mountains on one side. Ideal place for BBQ party and family time.

One of the best beaches in Sydney, unless you want waves - then go to Wanda. At Wattamolla you can imagine you’re swimming in a remote billabong or beach that’s a 5 day hike to the nearest town (but it’s only a 40 minute drive from the airport). Jump off the rocks into the river below, swim in the warm, shallow lagoon with the kids or cool off in the ocean and admire the cliffs. There’s good quality bathroom and shower facilities up in the picnic area. Bring water and food - there’s no shops. Vehicle entry costs $12 and supports the world’s second oldest National Park.

Wattamolla beach is amazing ! You have barbecues and toilets near the parking. In the weekend it’s a bit busy but you should do the walk to go to the lookout and watch the whales and maybe some dolphins

Nice beach with very low waves. You can get up to 50 meters in and still not be too deep. Great area to play with the kids. There’s a lagoon as well fed from the small waterfall. There is a $12 entry fee per vehicle to cover the parking and park facilities. The toilets didn’t have a shower and could be better maintained. We saw a note when we were driving from Stanley tops that the Wattamolla Beach was closed but it was open on getting there. So even if you see such signs try to make it and they allow more cars in as previously entered cars exit.

About 50 kms from City of Sydney wattamolla beach is real Gem. It is located inside the Royal National Park close to Bundeena. Visited this place for many times but never fails to wow. Undoubtedly, the best beach amd most visited spot inside Royal National Park. Abundance parking area but full during weekends and later during day. Toilets availabe near parking spots and picnic tables too. Picturesque easy walk about 10 minutes to the beach. When u reach the spot, u will realize just looking at the pictures isn't enough to soak in the beauty of Nature. You have to be there. It has a small falls, little creek and the beach. Good fishing spots too. swimming is easy on the beach as well as creek. Must visit.

An absolutely unmissable place for families in and around Sydney. It's so unique because you pretty much have everything that you would wish for on a day's outing, the drive towards wattamolla beach is serene and mind you there won't be mobile network coverage along the way and inside the picnic area. There is ample parking, however would be very busy on weekdays, arriving before 10am would be ideal and look for twitter notification on the road closures. Kids would certainly enjoy the creek water flowing before it enters sea, bring floaties and swimmers without fail. There is small, yet wonderful waterfalls that adds beauty to the picnic area as well. The beach itself is not massive but would certainly be captivating, parking for whole day is just $12, bringing food is a must, a wonderful place not so far away from city, families would enjoy and have memorable time here...

Great beach that was both a nice beach and a river/water fall. They have finished some of the renovations but it also means no more bridge? Another activity worth doing is beginner level kayaking. Most places are not that deep and small place. It is still a popular beach and gets full quickly. Worth coming early to avoid being disappointed.

Very nice. Good lagoon for the kids. Water at the Beach is quite rough. Parking is extremely limited. Amenities are toilets only, near the carpark. It's quite a walk from the carparks to the beach.

Great beach for the summer with patrols during holidays (10-5ish). Both a beach to the ocean and freshwater lagoon give options for families and couples. Parking is limited and there aren’t any showers (at least where I checked). Water can get deep so watch out, swim between the flags.

Beautiful. Beach, Creek and a waterfall. Plenty of parking available. It is a 10 minute walk to the beach, you can also swim across the creek and save yourself some time, noting time of day be wary of tides. Restrooms are near the car park, so once you are at the beach it's a decent walk back. This beach is paid! But it is definitely worth $12 per car.

This little hidden gem is gorgeous. It’s easily accessible from the car park - down some stairs and a wad across the water - prepared to get wet, wear swimmers. There are trails in this area, most are easy walks. The summer time is overrun and very crowded, highly recommend going during spring, autumn and winter months as there are very limited crowds during this time. Wattamolla Fall is visible from the beach and can also be reached via the water. There a toilets and showers available as well. It’s a newish structure and facilitate clean. They are located next to the car park.

If you’re looking for a short trip from Sydney metro with a day full of fun then this place is a must visit. It’s a fabulous four in one place !! Look out with great Oceanic views, nice small waterfall, a side lake and a great beach !!! The only problem is the stairs in between beach and toilets. There isn’t any showers as well. $12 parking for a day is reasonably well priced. Get in early or you won’t get a spot on a busy day!!!

Beautiful day well spent at this beach. $12 Park entry including all day parking. There are toilets and BBQ stations which are fairly modern. The beach is huge and has plenty of shadows on sides becaus there are trees growing. One side is salt water and the other fresh water. Fresh water is shallow and probably great for kids. There are no shops nearby so bring your own food but make sure to take your rubbish home too. It can get packed during weekends and holidays but they close the gate where the ranger collects the entry fee. You then have to wait till someone leaves. There are plenty of walks to do nearby. Highly recommend.

Get there early if going on a sunny weekend. Once the 5 carparks are full they close the road in. If you do get in though it is spectacular and well worth the effort and $12 day pass to the national park

30/10/22. Beautiful beach, waterfall and calm lagoon, but please be careful when getting down there. When you reach the end of the stairs, usually you can walk on sand and find a spot, but now you have to cross a small river that has tunnelled its way from the Beach into the Lagoon. A lot of people today had to carry their bags over their heads, or take the longer route and paddle board to the new ramp. When I came at 8:30am, the tunnelled water was up to my knees which was easy to transport our bag, but at roughly 11:30am (high tide) it was up to my chest. Please be careful with stepping on rocks whilst waves come in aswell. Bathrooms are at the top of the cliffs (no showers, might have to do a wipe down or bring a small bucket to splash water onto yourself). New BBQ and picnic areas renovated. When I left around 11:30am, the rangers have blocked the entrance road to Wattamolla at Sir Bertrams Stevens Dr (roughly 3km walk from the entrance to the beach) so its best to come earlier.

I often come here with my daughter who is 3 and a half years old we've been coming here for years The parking has improved a-lot, construction is still current at this stage but it's nice to see it more accessible and they have a huge toilet area. there are no shops around tho so be sure to pack the esky before you leave. There is a standard parking fee $12 and it's unlimited we generally stay around 3-4 hours. theres two side a beach and natural falls with the beach in the middle. It's a bit of a walk down hill as well, they have improved the walk way a-lot as well. Love this place.
