This is reasonably inexpensive accommodation so it would be unfair to have high expectations. Communication with the manager was very good and our unit was clean and tidy although rather small. The bed was comfortable. The furnishing is minimal (no lounge suites or comfortable chairs) but adequate. It was reasonably equipped but missing items like bowls suitable for breakfast cereal, a sharp fruit knife and a hairdryer - this did not trouble us as we travel well-equipped. The Wi-Fi signal was ineffective as our cabin was at the far end of the property and the tv signal was poor. Overall, basic accommodation at a reasonable price.

Overall, this place was worth the price we paid for the night. Unfortunately, as a cleaner myself, I found the property wasn't all up to standards, there was webs in one of the windows, so we couldn't open it for in case spiders were there. The shower could have some exit mould as its in the grout, there was a smell like a cat had been in the cabin, bugs were in there as well, we also didn't have a screen that could be locked so my 11 M/O was able to open it and tried getting out. Mattresses may need an upgrade as I felt the slats underneath me the whole night. But other than that, it was an alright stay, close to all amenities.

Lovely cabins clean and everything in that you need to cook! Owner Allan loves a chat! Nice and quiet. Will be returning to stay again! We were lucky enough to get a cabin as it was tourist season and 1 was available! We stayed for 3 nights. Thank you Allan for your hospitality when we stayed with you.

We stayed for two nights in this unassuming little park. We had a clean, quiet two-bedroom cabin with everything supplied. Didn’t see any staff but they were very helpful by phone. It’s in a great location, in walking distance to the club, restaurants and supermarket. Reasonably priced for a last-minute stay on a long weekend!

While the bathrooms covered in mould and the water is slimey and smells like sewerage it was a quiet stay with all ammenities catered for. Mattresses could definitely do with an upgrade. Situated in the centre of town and within walking distance to most places. Owner is very friendly, laid back and helpful. All in all a good place to stay for the price you pay

What a great find. Manager couldnt be more helpful. Parking at door. Room clean and tidy. Comfy bed with crisp linen. Fluffy towels. Everything here perfect stay, incl cutlery, crockery, double elect hobs + sml oven + microwave. Handy to bowls club for meals, but we dined at Brunos italian - perfect

Thanks to Deb for finding accommodation for 5 nights at short notice. The cabin was adequately equipped, nice verandah and close to all the sights and experiences on offer in Lightning Ridge. Would definitely recommend.

On arrival the onsite manager was not there and we did not have any phone service in Lightning Ridge, so I had to bother another guest to phone the manager. I think in hind sight that we should have been told if the managers were not there, our unit number. We did arrive within a suitable time for them to be there. Just a minor issue, but a huge one for me. The room was larger in comparison to other cabins that we had experienced in the past week. When we were about to turn down the bedding, the cushion was covered in dust and so was the pillow that it sat on. :( We did eat out and we found that the Bowling Club had a courtesy bus which was an added benefit.
