So much potential, nice store but only sandwich maker meals for lunch, can buy liquor, when we decided to buy a bottle of wine and have some lunch we were told they are not licensed and it would only bring in the wrong crowd, they prefer families(obviously none of the owners have been to a craft brewery and seen the families) When we decided to try a dinner meal, went down at 6.20 and told kitchen was closed, all with abrupt manner. Obviously don’t need business, not great impression of WA to travellers, should really hand it over to someone serious about hospitality

Just spent a week in Horrocks & must say the general store was my favourite lunchtime stop most days to enjoy the fish n chips or the amazing wraps or great coffee, the lovely manager was delightful, vibrant & always had a smile on her face cannot wait to return to this beautiful piece of paradise. Regards Trish

I cannot fault the quality of the Food or Coffee we purchased. Drove down from Kalbarri for the morning and to take the kids out for a Fish and Chip lunch - when we ordered we were told that due to staff shortages no lunches were being served and only hot chips were available. While disappointed I understand the reality of regional businesses - my children do not share this understanding and this resulted in a few tears and two frustrated parents but we got some drinks and hot chips, no harm done. My disgruntled review then comes from my absolute amazement of witnessing other groups of people being served meals consisting of more than just hot chips, and witnessing customers after us order meals consisting of more than just hot chips. I didn't know what to make of it at the time but left without saying anything although im not sure any reasoning offered would have made much sense either. Horrocks is a great spot to spend a day, maybe pack your lunch though.

Hidden gem! Fish and chips: fresh and tasty. GF option: GF bread with Veggie patty and salad. Don’t usually eat veggie patties but was very tasty and loaded with so much fresh salad. Very much appreciate a substantial allergen option. So unfortunate about the negative reviews on time and staff.. clearly people who don’t understand regional businesses.

Disappointed is an understatement. We ordered $93 worth of food to feed 10 people - we were assured multiple times it would be enough for 10 people. When we got back and opened the parcel we were shocked. There was *maybe* $2 worth of chips scattered among our fish, no crab sticks (paid for 3) & very small pieces of fish. Once the 5 kids got themselves each a small plate, there was barely enough for a meal for 1 adult and as a result we all went hungry as we rationed out the prison size servings left. For spending nearly $100 we expected better.

Fish and Chips. $40. Claimed to be Red Throat Emperor. What a dreadful way to treat a beautiful eating fish. Tough, dry, overcooked and dripping oil. Chips the same. No other outlet option in town. The caravan park should look at that to augment their cash flow.

Very good Burger, range of essential basics, very pleasant outdoor eating area. Such an important service to a small coastal town.

HB General Store has the absolute best fish & chips in Perth yet. Lovely light crisp crunch batter and divine fresh as F*** fish straight off the boat. I highly recommend.
