If you visit Brisbane, the beach inside the city is definitely a fantastic experience... You will see a mini market (only in the weekend's, I think). Many restaurants, sand and blue water 💦🏖️ A good place for kids as well! Who won't lay on the beach and look directly at the tall Brisbane city?? I'm a fan! 🌴⭐

An artificial beach in the city with lifeguard included and toilets complete with shower. One of the most popular spot in the city. Free, clean and well organized. Perfect for all ages. You can relax, have a walk or run and enjoy the view along the river.

Brisbane is a nice place to visit especially at South banks. There is art gallery, museum , man made pools, flowers etc. It is connected to the old city with 2 bridges. Recommended to visit. Beautiful scenery. Within walking distance from central station. Good to come here to have a short holiday.

South bank is a great place to bring the family. Have a swim, have a picnic or choose a restaurant to grab a bite. Loads of space and different choices available. Free water refill stations available too. Check out the temple of walk through the gardens. Great time for the whole family to be had

This is a relaxing place to visit, there’s a running trail, playground for young children, some meaningful buildings and structures and some place for BBQ, if you are not in a rush, you could spend some relaxing time over here to enjoy the breeze before getting back to the reality or your work.

Didn't actually visit the centre but went for a long walk around South Bank. Great kids playground and lots to take in. Nice clean environment, plenty of people taking advantage of being out. River very peaceful to sit beside. Enjoyed the visit

Good location and good room, although some rooms need a little maintenance/ upgrade, but are good value. River glimpses from most rooms and city views also. Very good restaurant. Free parking is a bonus.

Beautiful and safe swimming hole to enjoy on a warm day, very clean and tidy. Shallow water area for smaller kids, plenty of seating and shade plus showers and toilets. Lots of market tents and eateries. Right near the CBD and the magnificent Brisbane River. A great day out, take your own picnic and enjoy!!

The downside is that it seems to disconnect the customer and the waiter. We had forgotten drinks. Forgotten meals and no mention of kids deserts. A nice little walk on the riverside. From the Epicurious garden, the artificial beach and the Queensland museum, it makes for a good family time. I recommend to go during the weekend and on a sunny day (even though it can get pretty busy). Expect to spend half a day there.

Brisbane's the best iconic parkland. immaculate garden with a big wheel is my favorite area of Southbank. Highly recommend!!

Lovely relaxing place right along the river. The water is refreshing and patrolled by Life guards. Landscaping is just perfect and you can escape the city. Great atmosphere at the eating resort and plenty of amenities like lockers, showers and toilets. Oh and the sand is so sandy!

During our 2 wk holiday in Brisbane from Cairns we spend a considerable amount of time exploring South Bank Area, some new construction work going on & unfortunately the Brisbane Channel 7 Wheel wasn't operating. Many Cafe's Restaurants open for all tastes & budget. Overall a beautiful area to explore for all ages.

The parklands are absolutely beautiful. Lovely to find some shade among the trees or to walk along the waterfront. Can get the local water transportation along there. The man made beach is a bit funny. There are people laying around in full on bikinis etc. and there was even a photo shoot one evening when I was walking by. The real beaches (ocean) which are amazing are about 45 minutes to an hour away. This beach is a huge man made beach in the parkland near the river. There is a section that is a fun water play area for younger kids. Huge climbing structure for kids. Also, cool area to hang out in giant circle hammocks. Definitely go for a stroll through if visiting Brisbane.

South bank is the best place in Brisbane centre for relaxation or sporting, especially for kids. Gorgeous parkgrounds and a line of restaurants and icecream shops and behind them is gorgeoys man made beach with clear water. Great for kids as there are parts that are only knee deep.
