Had such an amazing time at the temple, and with a guide like Kerry, you can really imagine what was happening to the Asian community in the 1800s! I highly recommend anyone considering on coming to experience a unique part of history in far North Queensland. And this is coming from a gen Z!

What a wonderful history of Chinese in FNQ, shared by enthusiastic volunteers in small groups. I recommend the full temple tour to fully understand what the early Chinese went through, how they coped and thrived.

The Chinese Temple and artifacts are in excellent condition considering the age of the building. The guided tour is recommended for a full appreciation and understanding of the historical value to Atherton.

Amazing bit of Australian history. Well worth a stop for an hour or so. Well done to everyone trying to preserve this bit of history.
