Historic place to visit. It is a bit pricey though to go and see a lighthouse! If I knew it was a paid entry, we probably wouldn’t have bothered. The car park is a nightmare! Toilets available. A cafe sits next to the lighthouse where you can stop for lunch. Picnic area is nice. The light station houses have nicely displayed information to see as you walk through. Overall, a good stop in just a bit expensive in my opinion.

I actually really enjoyed my visit and it was worth the money to go in. Some amazing views from the lighthouse and we were lucky enough to see whales. Some really lovely staff inside the park. I’m marking down a few stars though for the girl that worked at the front desk, her attitude was really stinking, I would suggest she is not well suited to working in a tourist facing job with that horrible attitude. Maybe she was having a bad day but was a sour note at the start of an otherwise very enjoyable visit

Small drive off the main road on a narrow road where people love to stop and stand in the middle to see koalas in trees! Lighthouse itself is closed after the earthquake and entrance fee was reduced because of this. Entry should be cheaper if you are 'self guiding'. Perhaps charge a premium for guided tours and lighthouse climb? Lots of history to read. Service at the cafe was good and food was fresh. Carpark is tiny, we were there on a weekday and it was fairly quiet...there was already a few vans there - would be a nightmare in busy times. If you are there for the views, there are plenty just as good along the Great Ocean Road...and they are free.

A fantastic tourist attraction along the Great Ocean Road, I spent a couple of hours here exploring the interesting history and the absolutely stunning scenery. Well worth the entry price and there is a lovely small cafe on site for a coffee and a bite to eat. There are several walking paths near to the entrance if you want to explore further.

Lovely wild place well worth a visit. Lots of history to take in. Touring the lighthouse was great. Cafe was a welcome warm refuge from the weather. Definitely worth the drive down through some stunning scenery.

Spent a couple of hours exploring the immaculately kept grounds and learning the history of the light station. Staff are friendly, engaging & knowledgeable. Scones and coffee on point for a cold day. Would have loved to learn about the local aboriginal population.

I’ve been to a few lighthouses on my travels now but this is by far one of the best presentations I’ve had the pleasure of visiting. Immaculate green grounds, fresh scones and rich history. You are able to go up the lighthouse. The only downside was the staff were very strict on safety but didn’t really offer any info on the history of the lighthouse. The WW1 bunkers and historical houses/rooms had lots of info available for a self tour. Loved it, it was all gorgeous!!

Went with friends in 2020. We had a tour guide called Alex who told us ghost stores of the lighthouse keepers. Much to walk and see around the lighthouse too, like old stone tools as well as artefacts. Very good opportunity to take photos, as it obviously borders the sea. Pretty windy up here as expected so bring your jackets and hold on to your hats!

This place is beautiful. Of course the views are great, but the grounds are also nice. It's a little bit pricey to enter, and a bit of a drive to get there, but I think it's worth it, especially if you are travelling and are curious about the history, wanting to see a great view and some animals too! Lots of history here, from WW2, and the history of the lighthouse and it's inhabitants. If you're lucky, you'll see some whales. The cafe is nice also, and those scones, cream and jam are just delicious. Saw a koala on the way in and a wallaby with a joey, which was very cute.

Accommodation is available, there is a cafe... However I went to see the light house and I was super impressed, being able to climb to the top. The views are stunning, the information provided by the very pleasant "light house keeper" was excellent... A very worth while trip in gorgeous country

Beautiful place with great views and a very old lighthouse! The lighthouse was really cute! You can go up to take a look but beware of the super strong winds. There is an entrance fee for this attraction and you should expect to spend about 1-3 hours here. A cafe is available inside too. It was raining a little when we were there.

Only went to the lighthouse with the $19.5 entry ticket. Worth-going as the lighthouse is renewed and opened for visitors to enter, able to enjoy the view from the top of the house. Guidelines of visiting are provided in both the ticket office and lighthouse. Environments are great, everything is comfortable. Might visit again and have a overnight stay.

Me and my girlfriend came here Monday gone (25/9) on our way past for our Great Ocean Walk. We enjoyed our time there, which was enhanced by the presence of Dale, what a man. A bloke full of knowledge, and probably full of experiences too. Great storyteller, and the 20 min history talk he gave was really insightful and enjoyable. Whoever runs this place, pay Dale a little more for making history fun.

This is a great place to visit to learn about the history of the lighthouse and check out the views. The guides are very knowledgeable and the displays are full of good information. And the scones are delicious!

We went went for this and honestly you should time your visit when there is a historical tour talk which is at about 11 am, 2 pm and 4 pm. We visited on 8 Aug 2023 and there was a fantastic guide doing the 11 am tour and he gave a really in-depth history of the nautical routes that gave rise to Cape Otway and how it helped Australia flourish to what it is today. We forgot the name of the guide but he was great! Wanted to post here to give a shout out to him. Without the context, it’s still a nice sight at the lighthouse

A must see along the Great Ocean Road! We stopped by today and visited the whole site. They did a fantastic Job, preserving everything. The lighthouse is very interesting, but so is the Telegraph station. For the immigrants, it was the first bit of Australia that they saw, and it was also the point on the mainland, Connecting to Tasmania! I was fascinated by the old technology and the condition they were in. Very educative!

Third time here, good thing is weather is good and visibility from the tower is just as far as the eyes can see. Real windy so make sure you have caps and spectacles tuck away otherwise it will fly..... Though 3rd time here, i have never forget to capture images to remember the trip and not forgetting the nice green soft lawn..

There are so many things to say about this place. - We paid $25 for a family trip and spent less than 10 minutes there. The lighthouse was closer and so was as the area surrounding it so all we paid to see the ocean which we’ve been seeing for the past hour or so. - There was nothing to see. - There was nothing to do. I think you can see what we are getting at. Also, note that there were so many flies that we had to run back to the car. The only interesting thing were the information boards and decent view of the ocean but even then I think it’s because of the time we got there and the sky looked pretty. Overall, it would’ve been nice if there was something to see other than the sign which told us to stop and leave as there was a mercury spill.

Second time going here. Came with a friend that had not been before. There is an entry fee to get in, $20 for an adult ticket. Bring a rain coat and warm jacket, can be cold and windy obviously being right on the coast. Beautiful view from top of lighthouse with friendly knowledgeable guide. You can explore the grounds too but at the time we went (July 2023) some parts of the grounds was closed. You can go into the old homestead and have a look around. There is also accommodation here, would be a nice spot to stay in the winter!

👍👍 It's a pity you actually have to enter the park to enjoy this little cafe as it would make a great stop off on a road trip. That said, it was nice on a fresh, blustery day to be able to enjoy their famous scones and a hot drink. The window seats were popular.
