When it comes to Ming Dining, the main courses were a real treat. The beef was juicy and packed with flavor, the duck was cooked to perfection, and the fish was incredibly fresh. And let's not forget about their desserts – they not only looked amazing but tasted fantastic. The mango ice cream had that perfect sweet and tangy balance, and the sesame milk pudding was pretty good too. But, I have to admit, the starters were just okay. The salmon and beef tartare lacked that wow factor. The beef tartare had some creativity but missed that beefy goodness. And there was this crispy pork dish where the skin was way too tough, and the meat was a bit on the chewy side. What really stood out, though, was the exceptional service from the owner and staff. They were super attentive and quick to address any questions or concerns we had. Overall, it was a good experience with some delicious dishes, and the friendly service made it even better.

This place is still new but definitely worth a visit. I would recommend the 7 course banquet (and it has a vegetarian version which my wife ordered and said it was delicious). They have a 9 course version but the 7 had plenty of food and all courses were different and packed with heaps of flavour and creativity. The restaurant has a beautiful setup and great ambience, perfect for a date night or night out with friends. Service was exceptional, so personalised and worth a shout out to Hebe the waitress - she was amazing.

The atmosphere is really chilling, it’s a good place for dating and family and friends gathering. While the most amazing dishes from the menu are kingfish and aged duck breast and truffle fries rice which I have tried and personally enjoyed it. Furthermore, the front house staffs are very friendly and they have offered the details of dishes which helps me to enjoy the cuisine more pleasantly that also shows how much hard work the chefs have been putting into the dishes. I highly recommend people to check out this nice place.

I recently had a Western meal at Ming Dining, and the experience was fantastic. The quality and flavor of the food exceeded my expectations, with each dish being perfectly cooked and rich in taste. The ambiance of the restaurant was equally impressive. The elegant layout and comfortable atmosphere elevated the entire dining experience. It’s an ideal spot for a peaceful dinner with family or a joyful gathering with friends. What stood out the most was the excellent quality of service. The staff were not only efficient but also very friendly, even taking the time to chat with us, making the dining experience more relaxed and enjoyable. Their professionalism and warmth left a lasting impression on me. In conclusion, Ming Dining offers a superb dining experience, with its food, ambiance, and service quality all being highly commendable. I look forward to revisiting this restaurant in the near future.

I love this restaurant! The food is just amazing and unique. Staff are very, very friendly and an excellent bar as well. One of the best places in Melbourne for fresh, ice cold natural oysters and beautifully served too. You simply must try everything, however, especially the crab fried rice, wow!

Went for the lunch special, $27 for 2 courses. Great price, good food and excellent service. The dumplings and spring roll were good starters and the potato pave was great. We got a pork bao which was good in flavour but the bao wasn't super fresh and they replaced it pretty quickly. I'll definitely be back to try the full menu and for lunch if I'm around the CBD.

Booked this place for our anniversary and was kinda disappointed. It was higher end Chinese food so we had high expectations coming from a Chinese background. We ordered the fried eggplant, oysters, calamari, lamb ribs, truffle fried rice and milk tea tiramisu. We noted it was our anniversary on the booking and they offered us a glass of bubbles each on the house which was lovely. Out of the 6 dishes we ordered, only 2 of the dishes were good but nothing that wowed us. The calamari and lamb ribs were flavorful and had so much sauce which I loved. However, the oysters were fishy and had no taste of xo at all and the batter of the eggplant fell off meaning it wasn’t fried properly. The fried rice was basic and nothing tasteful. The dessert was such a disappointment it was 80% cream and felt like a child made it. But I do want to note the service was amazing, our waitress was attentive and constantly filled our water and made sure we were okay with everything. I understand this place is new but it’s nothing great on the menu considering it isn’t fusion Chinese food. Save your money and go to old Beijing in QV.
