Amazing spot and must see! The blue mountains are just spectacular! The hike are so various and nice prepared. It’s always nice to go there and find something new. There are restrooms, lot of parking spots directly on the spot and supermarkets nearby. Don’t forget to carry enough water, food and maybe mosquito sprays.

Best place to sight wide range of mountains. The three sisters are unique rocks with magnificent view of national park from up above. However today was freezing and would recommend warm clothes suitable for 2 to 5 degrees chill in winter.

Beautiful sight and accessible from the Katoomba station via a frequent bus. There are many platforms where you can take photos with the 3 sisters. Path is well-paved on the short 20 min stroll to the 3 sisters. There is a steeper path once this nice stroll ends if you choose to do a longer walk. Great place to bring both young and old, or enjoy a nice hike. No tickets required. There are bathrooms available at the viewing area.

The Three Sisters are located in the Blue Mountains. The whole site is breathtaking. We took the cable ride down which is also the world’s steepest cable ride. On the way up we decided to take the trail. The trail took us about 3 hours up so bring plenty of water and some energy bar as it is exhausting! The views are amazing all around from the lookouts and you’ll see a lot of different species of birds. There are also stops along the way explaining all the mining that used to take place back in the day.

Usually people visit this place in day time and is a beautiful Place too. Recently I have visited the same in evening to take Milky way photos. Little city light was ok but I have got super photos this time. Easy to reach the place from Katoomba Rail Station or easy drive from the motor way. Walk it also very very beautiful. Plenty of parking.

The Three Sisters are an iconic tourist attraction located in Katoomba, just a couple of hours' drive from Sydney. These sandstone peaks are part of the Greater Blue Mountains World Heritage Area, renowned for its stunning natural beauty and rich Aboriginal heritage. The Three Sisters Walk is a popular walking trail that offers breathtaking views of the Three Sisters and the Jamison Valley. The trail is well-maintained and suitable for various fitness levels, making it accessible to many visitors. As you explore the Three Sisters Walk, you can learn about the Aboriginal Dreamtime legend associated with the formation, which tells the story of three sisters turned to stone. The viewpoints along the trail provide fantastic photo opportunities, especially during sunrise and sunset when the scenery is particularly magical. The Blue Mountains is a haven for nature lovers, with numerous walking trails, waterfalls, and unique flora and fauna to discover. The Three Sisters Walk is undoubtedly one of the highlights of the region and a must-visit for anyone exploring the beauty of Australia's natural landscapes.

Magical place to see, I have visited 2 times to this area and last time it was foggy so the gum trees looked so beautiful. But a pink sunset would be perfect here. Katoomba is the closest town to the Three Sisters and has many shops and cafes, I also know that you can catch the train from Sydney CBD to Katoomba, then walk or catch the bus to the to the mountains from there.

It was the first time I went to NSW. Decided to go to see Three Sisters Walk (Blue Mountains). The time I entered this place, I loved it more and more. So peaceful, beautiful like heaven, and very safe, especially for kids, as it has barriers in place. Coming back soon. The best time to visit is mid-June to mid-July. No tickets needed.

The Three Sisters Walk in Katoomba, New South Wales, is an incredible experience that should not be missed by anyone visiting the Blue Mountains. The walk offers breathtaking views of the Three Sisters rock formations and the surrounding valleys, making it a popular destination for both locals and tourists. The walk is well sign-posted and is suitable for people of all ages and fitness levels. It begins at the Echo Point lookout, where visitors can take in the stunning views of the Three Sisters and the Jamison Valley. From there, the walk descends down a series of steps and boardwalks, providing stunning views of the rock formations from different angles. The walk is approximately 1.5 km long and takes about an hour to complete, depending on how often you stop to take photos and enjoy the scenery. There are several lookout points along the way, providing an opportunity to rest and take in the panoramic views of the Blue Mountains. The Three Sisters Walk is a great way to experience the natural beauty of the Blue Mountains and is suitable for families, couples, and solo travellers. It is a well-maintained and popular attraction, so it can get crowded during peak tourist season. However, the views and experience are well worth it. Overall, I highly recommend the Three Sisters Walk to anyone visiting Katoomba or the Blue Mountains. It is an unforgettable experience that showcases the incredible beauty of the Australian landscape.

A scenic location on top of a mountain. Paid street parking available. You could also enjoy a good hike for around 20-30 minutes as well. Souvenir shop is there with some refreshments. Washroom is also there for the visitors.

Giant Stairs are not for the faint of heart. Beautiful spot for a visit, however, if it's rainy, the fog will roll in and you won't be able to see the Sisters. Make sure you plan your walk: take plenty of water, some dried fruits and nuts. Wear proper gear and prepare for cold conditions. The walk down in the valley is gorgeous via the Giant Stairs. It definitely makes a person feel small down amongst the prehistoric rain forests. Please allow two hours (to 2.5 hours) to get to the railway, from the top. The estimated time on the signs are extremely conservative! On the way back up via Furber Steps, how gorgeous is this section! It was my first time walking back up, it was hard going so take your time, catch your breath and rest a lot. And look up! Enjoy the view!

This place is alright. Nice for people who are not interesting in any tracks, etc. it gives a good glimpse of a general view of the blue mountains. Personally the valley is much more impressive than the rock formation itself but still a nice place to visit that is super friendly to get to and have access to facilities.

This walk is for everyone, it has levels of ease displayed at the start. But due to lots of rains in the area, most of this walk has been closed for safety reasons. It has a wheelchair and stroller accessible entrance, which leads to the cliff view lookout.

Beautiful area one of the most scenic in all of Australia! The giant steps are very crowded so I would suggest going in the morning. Wonderful scenic views. When I went I did a loop into the valley past bridal veil falls and then came up the giant steps. I was able to see cockatoos and the wonderful views from above the valley and from within. Would recommend this 5-6 mile loop for anyone who loves nature!

Great day trio from Sydney for nature lovers and hikers. The views ara amazing! The hikes are easy and short, great for beginners and they are in great conditions. It is easily reachable by public transportation (train) from Sydney. However, if you have a car you will be able to explore other lookouts nearby that are worth while. 100% recommend

Please check the weather before you visit three sisters. It was too foggy to see anything from the main spot at the top. See photos. But you could walk down to the honeymoon bridge and you might witness the beautiful and magical sight of fog clearing from the three sisters. Really amazing views and lots of hikes to choose from.

Convenient amenities like restrooms, ample parking, and nearby supermarkets enhance the overall experience. Ensure a memorable visit by packing sufficient water, delicious snacks, and perhaps some mosquito repellent.

Visited here in March, 2020. This is located a little far from the downtown of Sydney, but around 1 hour of train journey can take us there. Also train systems are seemingly well operated and they focus on usability for foreign tourists, thus it's not difficult at all to get there. After getting the nearest station from this Mountain, bus or taxi can be used go there. In my case, I chose taxi, which cost about 10 dollars. As for this Blue Mountains, the views are totally superb and amazing and I was sure they were beyond what we had expected them to be. Nature spots boasting about sceneries often disappoint us a little bit based on my experiences. But it is not the case here. Everything I saw here including a famous icon "three sisters" was literally impressive. I wonder how three sisters were formed over centuries. I wish I had spent some time on studying the field of geography and related history beforehand.

The day we journeyed up to the three sisters it was overcast and cold. In saying that, we decided to do one of the hikes up the road a little and we were pleasantly surprised with the views you see attached. Rain or shine it's well worth the trip!! Just note that when we were there the lookout point was under renovation; hence the hike idea.

Amazing view and amazing lookout with great facilities. Parking is absolutely disgraceful. Signage for parking was even worse, signs contradicting each other and council unnecessarily making people pay nearly $5 an hour for street parking nearby where signs say it should be free. Consider walking in from Katoomba.

I had visited three sisters before but this time, view was the best view. It was a foggy day and when we reached there, we were able to see clouds, very mesmerising. If anyone has no issues for small walks, then none should miss some look out points around three sisters. The walk is not difficult.

Just beautiful, nice easy walk to viewing platform. Unfortunately walk further closed due to all the rain. Will definitely come back when they open up.

  • 5/5 Brett Y. 1 year ago on Google
Absolutely stunning. Bewutiful views, and the walks are as easy or hard as you want them to be, depending on where you go. Unfortunately a lot of the trails were closed for safety due to the recent poor weather and potential for landslides, but I would absolutely go back when they're open again.

It's very touristy. You kind of have to see it once and it is very accessible, just drive over. Note that most parking is ticketed unless you park a bit up road the road, over the hill. If you want to experience the Blue mountains try the Canyon Walk. The hiking trails are much more enjoyable, if that is your thing.

This 1.5km walk us most enjoyable with great views of the Blue Mountains. I went at dusk to view both th sunset and the spotlights on some of the features. There are lights marking the pathway but a small torch would be handy to help navigate the paths.

Most famous viewpoint in the Blue Mountains. Gets very crowded during the high season and groups of certain nationality tourists can be very rude and uncultured. Breathtaking views and nice hiking trails. Stop by if you can but don't spend too much time here as there are many other mor quiet spots to be discovered in the Blue Mountains.

  • 3/5 Tiago S. 5 months ago on Google
As expected of a touristy area, it was a bit hard to find a free parking spot. Had to pay $10/55mins of parking. We ended up not spending that much time here because it's crowded. The kitchen/pub didn't offer much lunch options apart from an expensive burger and fish&chips. We just took photos of the rock formations and the landscape and then we headed out.

Three sisters walk area is nice and serene place to sit and enjoy the natural beauty around. We were there early evening and that's why I think we enjoyed a nice cool breeze. On the way back to the parking lot, we met a friend - laughing kookaburra on the gum tree! There's a paid or non paid parking area around this spot.

The Three Sisters Walk offers a captivating journey through nature's beauty. The scenic trail unveils stunning landscapes, with each sister rock formation standing as a testament to time. The hike provides a perfect balance of challenge and serenity, making it an ideal experience for both seasoned hikers and casual adventurers. The panoramic views at the summit reward the effort, creating a memorable outing that lingers in the mind long after the trail is left behind.

  • 5/5 Sahil A. 9 months ago on Google
Great place to visit the mountains for a short day trip. Plenty of paid parking near the location and unpaid one is at a little walking distance near the residential areas. Few food outlets nearby, but because of the tourist spot, it's obviously a little more expensive than the normal locations. If you want to save money, bring your own food or eat before reaching this destination. Avoid the school holidays period or the weekends if you prefer fewer people around the area.

  • 3/5 Emily G. 6 months ago on Google
It was a nice lookout. I'm from Arizona in the USA and vistas like this are a dime a dozen so I wasn't terribly impressed. The Three Sisters are a moderately interesting rock formation. I learned that the blue haze came from the eucalyptus oil of the forest. I wish it would have been a stronger scent of eucalyptus.

We were blessed to visit on a perfect winters day. The view was absolutely spectacular. The walk from the tourist information centre to the top of the Giant Stairway takes about 10 -15mins. It is concreted all the way, and has lots of seating stops to enjoy the views. It is quite an easy walk down and back. Even wheelchair-able, though coming back up the hill would be harder without help (depending on your fitness level). The Giant Stairway is very steep, so remember what goes down must come back up!

  • 5/5 Ryan M. 8 months ago on Google
If you are a hiker I advise parking and walking the entire thing. It's a few miles to the top but we did not see anyone else until we got to the top. There is a great shop at the top that allows you to get a snack and trinkets of the walk.
