Absolutely amazing ! Head chef extraordinar Troy Lister knows how to prepare culinary delights! I had the slow cooked Beef cheeks that melted in my mouth ! The side of veg was delicious. My husband had a Porter house steak that was juicy , tender and full of flavour. The desert was Chocolate Fondant that oozed deliciousness! The cool breeze and view on the veranda was pleasant. Charming wait staff and a well run restaurant. Can't wait to return .

Well worth the visit! Many places in my hometown of Sydney could learn a lesson in preparing high quality meals in a reasonable timeframe. The steak was excellent, even if you go for the cheapest cut like I did. The seasoning is not over the top and the meat is cooked very well (I ordered medium rare & it was just right). The view is nice too & the service is excellent - I would highly recommend going here…and I’ll come back here again!

We thought the location was great and service was also really good. I really loved the decor and the seating on the balcony. My only comment was the steak wasn’t cooked well, it was a bit tough and the cocktails barely had any alcohol. Expected a bit more for that price.

We ordered Amber Signature dry aged ribeye on the bone and Pork rib cutlet w crackling- it’s amazing and delicious. Please don’t miss the dessert too, it’s great for the end of the meal. Excellent food and excellent service by Jess. We would definitely go back again.

Had an awesome dinner here w my friend. It was great how they accommodated us last minute when we decided to book on a busy Saturday night. We came for a hens night, the owner Troy was incredibly attentive and so kind! our dietary requirements were all taken care of, the food was so fresh each meal we had was better than the last. Thankyou Ember for making our friend soila’s special night that much more special.

Partner and I were visiting Byron over the new year and both enjoy A nice steak so thought we’d come try out ember as we’d heard good things, the service was really good and so were the drinks and the oysters we got but when it came to the steak (the most expensive part of the night) I was extremely disappointed we both ordered a medium rare Wagyu 6+ rump steak, partners was cooked perfectly but mine was dry, burnt on the outside, and hurt my mouth just trying to chew it enough to swallow definitely more of a medium to medium well which I didn’t enjoy. I was super excited to try this restaurant and left feeling disappointed.

We came for dinner on New Year's Eve. And we were not disappointed. The kingfish Ceviche and the Japanese beef entrees were excellent. And the steaks that followed were just as good. With a bottle of Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon I can't think of a better way to spend the night.

Amazing steak. Had the waygu 8+ scotch and it was beautiful. Good amount of salt and cooked really well. The potato gratin was also amazing. Would definitely recommend if you love steak.

Outstanding experience right from the initial contact, Troy was accommodating, engaging and responsive, the communication was excellent. Food was 10/10 with all guests ( group of 26) glowing in their praise of the variety, taste, quantity and value. The service was quick, kids looked after brilliantly and the atmosphere is exceptional, could not recommend highly enough when visiting Byron Bay whether it’s for a function or simple meal Ember is the place to eat!!!!

My first time at Ember Byron Bay was back in June for my birthday. The steak was so good that it left a lasting impression, and I vowed that the next time I went back to BB, I would go back to Ember. I was up there, again, last week for 7 days and spent 4 dinners at Ember. I couldn't get enough! The Wagyu was AMAZING!! If I could have, I would have had 2 each night. I ordered it with the Herb Butter and Garlic Butter. Creamy Mash Potato was my side, and I added Creamy Garlic to my Mash. The food is always cooked to perfection. I have never had a bad experience at Ember. I have CPTSD and am quite scared of being in public. The staff were amazing at accommodating my needs to be in an area where no one was likely to be able to walk behind me, which would send me into a panic. They were friendly, always smiling, and just a great bunch. Very attentive and quick to respond if you needed their help. This has become my absolute favourite restaurant in Australia and I highly recommend a visit! You won't regret it.

This little hidden gem in Byron Bay is by far one of the best restaurants I have eaten at. The service, cocktails, dinner & dessert were all top tier. From the minute we walked in the vibe was incredible & everything else just followed perfectly. Couldn’t recommend this place more! 10/10 ps. Get the aranchini balls, you won’t regret it

Had a pretty good steak 🥩 here. Service was really excellent - unfortunately they were out of oysters that day which was disappointing. The restaurant was half empty so it's not too crowded. It's a little drafty because of the balcony but they do their best to cover it up. In terms of the quality of the steak - was it the best ever? No. Was it decent for that price? Yes. Was it cooked well. Yes.

We went to this place when at Byron and it was an amazing experience. Food was top notch and we tried the special cocktail of the day White chocolate pina colada! Steak was cooked to perfection and the sides of potato gratin were ♥️ Lamb shank slow cooked for 18 hours was delicious and melted in mouth! Overall a perfect experience and will be recommending this place to family/friends.

Really delicious food! The steak and chicken were cooked perfectly. The oysters were some of the best I have ever had and the potato gratin was amazing! It’s quieter and more chill than some of the restaurants on the main strip. I would go back again.

We had dinner at Ember last night. It was truly amazing. Exceptional food, great atmosphere and the staff were incredible. Thank you to Juan the manager who went above and beyond to make our experience a culinary journey. Troy (the owner) should be very proud of his restaurant. We will be coming back.

This would have to be the best food in Byron and I live here. The steak is out of this world. All of the sides are fresh and selicious. The kitchen manage to serve big tables in good time. The staff are super friendly. Get the 200g fillet medium rare. Yum.

All the dishes we ordered were beautifully presented. The pork belly had a crispy exterior but could have a bit more flavoursome. My friend and I shared the salads and the pumpkin one was my favourite as the beetroot was too vinegary for me. The vegan coconut pannacotta was disappointing as it was $18 and sadly nothing special. I’d skip and buy a dessert from Woolworths instead

Awesome food, beautiful restaurant and lovely staff. We had a great night and really enjoyed the food. Even my fussy 11 year old son who doesn’t usually eat steak absolutely loved it. We will definitely be back. Good work. P.s loved the cocktail.

My partner and I will be talking about the food here for a while! Everything was fantastic. Those prawns were to die for. When we visit Byron again we will definitely be back. Thank you for the wonderful food and service.

Steakhouse and Australien Grill Restaurant Appealing menu with exciting dishes - don’t miss the Waigou filet with fresh sides. The vegetables we ordered were some of the tastiest veggies I have eaten. Great food, friendly staff and a great atmosphere. Try to get a table on the terrace - fairy lights overlooking Johnson street. Just go there-you won’t be disappointed.

Amazing food, drinks & gluten free options to choose from. The pumpkin risotto is the best risotto I’ve ever had. Looking forward to returning next time we’re in Byron.

We had an excellent dining experience at Ember. Our waiter was amazing and the cocktails 11/10. The steak! Omg. We both had a Wagyu rump which had this amazing flavour on the outside and was melt in your mouth! Cooked to perfection 100/10. We decided to get dessert despite already being too full but it was well worth it. Wish we could eat here everyday.
