Management
charges
$250
per
week
in
a
dorm
room
if
you
have
had
covid,
or
$350
per
week
if
you
have
not
already
had
covid.
Discrimination
at
it's
best.
A
manager
sleeps
in
a
room
right
next
to
the
kitchen
and
after
10pm
the
manager
hates
guests
being
in
the
kitchen
so
she
calls
the
night
manager
to
kick
guests
out
of
the
kitchen
when
she
hears
guests
in
the
kitchen.
Management
doesn't
tell
you
this
when
you
check
in.
Management
informed
NSW
Health
of
the
name's
and
phone
numbers
of
it's
guests
who
were
staying
in
rooms
next
door,
not
in
the
same
room,
to
a
guest
who
had
covid
and
those
guests
were
then
deemed
to
be
close
contacts
of
a
person
who
had
covid
so
they
were
then
forced
by
NSW
Health
to
go
into
a
government
run
quarantine
facility
in
Lismore
for
3
days.
The
guests
are
backpackers,
not
Australian's,
so
management
felt
that
they
could
get
away
with
treating
them
poorly.
At
10pm
guests
are
told
by
a
night
manager
to
either
leave
the
premises
or
to
go
to
their
rooms
because
management
wants
the
hostel
to
be
silent
after
10pm.
This
rule
is
enforced
even
when
it's
raining
so
you
can't
even
sit
outside
in
the
undercover
BBQ
area
in
the
garden
after
10pm
when
it's
raining
and
there's
nowhere
else
to
go.
Management
doesn't
tell
you
this
on
it's
website
or
when
you
check
in.
During
the
Christmas
and
New
Years
period
rent
went
up
to
$600+
per
week
in
a
10
bed
dorm.
Long
term
guests
who
kept
the
hostel
afloat
during
lockdowns
were
not
given
any
discount
or
special
rates
so
most
of
the
long
term
guests
left
the
hostel
before
Christmas.
I
worked
as
a
night
manager
at
this
hostel
and
i
visited
this
hostel
for
8
years
because
it
used
to
be
awesome,
but
now
it's
a
very
strictly
run
place
and
management
is
overbearing
and
treats
it's
guests,
especially
backpackers,
like
they're
walking
dollar
signs.
