Never going to visit this restaurant again. Clear discrimination of customers on basis of race. I am customer with Indian origin and have visited the restaurant with a 2 year old baby. I was offered a table which is under AC and it was very cold. I have checked the tables which were outside and all the tables were empty. I have checked with the staff if I change to the alternative table which was located outside and I was told that those tables are not available. Immediately a customer from Australia n background came and they were offered a table next to me. They had a similar issue, they felt cold and they saw that the tables outside were empty. The customers with Australian background asked for the same table which I have asked to shift earlier and they were allowed to switch the table. This is a clear customer discrimination based on the race and background. I am very upset with what happened and never going to visit again.

Attended a function here on the balcony, great views of Bendigo. The staff were friendly & accommodating. The Indian food was amazing. Come on an empty stomach, as large servings & very satisfying. It doesn't cater for mobility issues. Resturant on second floor & can only be accessed via steep staircase. But would definitely recommend to friends.

Worst experience...Ordered food, rotis and naan came barely cooked. We had to throw them in bin. Never ordering from them again.

Really enjoyed our experience here as did my wife. Food was delicious. Good size servings, not too much, and medium was just the right amount of heat. Staff were attentive and friendly. Manager/owner was prominent visiting every table and asking how things were going. Food was served in good time even though they were very busy. Will definitely be a repeat customer. A big thumbs up.

Had my birthday dinner here, and it was really great. The food was extremely delicious, and came out not long after ordering. The atmosphere was really great, the staff were just beyond friendly, and accommodating. Would absolutely recommend eating here!

Bendigo has no shortage of great Indian restaurants, and Sargun Indian Tandoori is definitely part of that list. Great food, lovely service, nice atmosphere and open later than most other restaurants in town, so many partner and I can always grab something after a late shift. Prices are fair for the quality of food you're getting. Can't recommend them enough!

Great place for special moments or for large groups. Staff are accommodating and lovely to deal with. Food is amazing. I came with my badminton team , who tried variety of dishes. Delicious flavours, beautifully prepared, without overwhelming spices. Everyone raves about the taste of the naan breads, tandoori meats, Punjabi chicken, butter chicken, beef masala, palak paneer, etc. Not a single complaint or dissatisfaction from my team. Unfortunately for us due to our dinner clashing with a birthday party of 30-35 people, there was quite a delay in dishes being delivered to table but we were quite happy to catch up and discuss the day’s events while waiting. Thank you to the Sargun team who worked tirelessly despite having a full house that day. What a lovely hidden Gem 💎 The service was exceptional, Friendly & efficient service, checked how we were doing often and took care of the kids with a lolly 🍭, the place is very decorated which is a nice touch. And the FOOD! OMG... EXCELLENT!! We aren't bendigo locals but we definitely will be putting this restaurant on our return list!! The vegetable korma!!!! Absolutely beautiful & the dips!!!! Just Perfect ❤️🔥😀🍽 YUM YUM!

This place is just amazing, Delicious and variety of vegetarian food options at Sargun Restaurant in Bendigo. Friendly and welcoming Staff with smile on their faces and Excellent customer service. Mango Lassi was so yum😋 My kids were looked after and offered candies, they were so happy. I would say worth spending money. I am from Melbourne and can’t wait to visit again. Thank you Team ❤️

Nice sitting out on the balcony, we had the banquet for 2 and drinks - all was delicious & just $95! We even took some home with us as we couldn’t finish it. Amazing . Highly recommend.

The staff here are absolutely lovely, the service is always great. Been here numerous times, but putting the review in to counteract the absolute disgusting behaviour I witnessed by a agitated customer. The manager showed patience, compassion And remained completely professional when dealing with one very rude and aggressive woman. Keep up the great work Sargun

The food was mediocre for Indian food, some of the dishes did taste authentic and had a generous amount of spice but some other dishes I feel lacked in flavour or had the wrong flavour altogether. The butter chicken is a prime example of this; it tasted almost like tomato soup rather than butter chicken. Unfortunately the food is the biggest element at any restaurant so if the food is lacking then so is the standard of the establishment. Besides the food itself, the locale was a bit beaten down, the atmosphere felt empty, the paint on the walls and the lighting I feel were out of place for an Indian restaurant and although not directly related to food the aesthetic of any restaurant I believe plays a big role on the overall experience. I feel like Sargun should take advantage of its location right in Bendigos main strip of night life restaurants, improve the quality of the interior design, up its lighting a bit and definitely make some improvements to the taste of its food.👌 It still as a chance to redeem itself.

Incredible Indian restaurant with extensive menu to all dietary requirements (listed vegan, veg, nuts and gluten).Amazing service and very reasonably priced for the quality of food! Would recommend to any one looking for an traditional authentic curry.

Best Indian in Bendigo! Butter Chicken is our favourite and it’s beautiful here, we’ve tried all of them around town. Great atmosphere in the restaurant too. We highly recommend Sargun.

Ordered veg chowmein and vegies and noodles was very soggy and the bottom was full of oil like an oil soup.. and there was way too much ginger. not happy... i used to love their chowmein ...but this time really disappointed may be different chef or recipe..... otherwise their indian tradition foods are amazing ....

Best ever experience in Bendigo, reached at 4:00 pm , lunch was already finished but owner still welcomed us with a smile and serve us with delicious food . Food was very nice and very quick service . Highly Recommend Good customer service

If a resutant is judged on food alone it is a winner. We went there for dinner, met the new owners and were generally satisfied with the food flavour, quality and spice. We like spicy food and we were pleased when given spicy food. It's funny but often when you ask for spicy it comes out bland and mild. Over the past 6 months we have notice the quality and flavors of other resutants had slipped. This is a bright light on a dark day. Good food, expected price we will definitely go back.

Best restaurant in Bendigo! I love coming here with friends and my family. Pretty much always order the dhal tadka and it is amazing everytime. Food is not spicy for those with a low spice tolerance but you can order it as spicy as you'd like for those that like it hot! The balcony is a lovely place to sit on warm days and is one of my favourite parts of eating here. Such a wonderful and unique restaurant, I recommend it to everyone 😋

Stumbled across this little gem when walking around Bendigo looking for a meal. Walk upstairs and be greeted by a huge historic room, like an old ballroom. Very friendly staff, and an excellent menu catering to all tastes. Meals were all beautifully flavoursome, even the rice and naan! So good we went back a second night!

Absolutely delicious! We love a good Indian feed and there's no good places where we live anymore. We're a bit hesitant to try new places, but when we walked in there were tables of Indian families dining in so we figured that was a good sign. We haven't had Indian this good in years! Owner was lovely, we were having a great chat with them while paying. Told them how happy we were with the food and service and their proud smile was priceless! Lovely people, fantastic restaurant, Bendigo is very very lucky to have you there. We're up here every year on the long weekend for Midstate Mopars, and we will definitely be dining here every year from now on (maybe every night).

This is hands down one of the best Indian foods we have eaten in Bendigo. Highly recommend. There's nothing left to photograph because it was so delicious.

Food excellent. Service very minimalist. No interaction apart from what was totally necessary. Entree was served after main course had been served. No acknowledgment or explanation. After meal no offer of dessert or coffee. And when we were paying we said how much we enjoyed meal to a silent response. And chairs not comfortable.

Long standing Indian restaurant in Bendigo with rustic aesthetics and excellent service from the staff. Being an Indian, after tasting the food my family felt it's average and there is room for improvement. Portions are decent and value for money.

Beautiful meals, as always. It was very busy when we arrived and that was evident with the length of time it took to get meals. Not normally like that, so we would continue going back.

This is a good restaurant. The service is quick and the breads are tasty. If you’re a hot sauce lover then you will find their Curries tasty otherwise they are average from my point of view.

It was well priced and the food was good. It was a nice night to be sitting out on the balcony watching Bendigo go by. The only thing I didn't like was that the sparkling wine was "reduced alcohol". It was a temporary setback we compensated for later in the evening.
