Cambrai
is
the
highest
rated
working
hostel
I've
seen
in
Australia,
and
it's
for
good
reason.
The
owners,
Bec
&
Adam,
treat
it
more
like
a
home
than
a
business,
and
they
put
in
lots
of
effort
to
make
sure
everyone
feels
welcome.
Bec
&
Adam
of
course
don't
control
the
farms,
but
there
is
never
a
lack
of
communication
with
employers
and
(unlike
most
other
working
hostels)
they
don't
overfill
bed
spaces,
so
everyone
walks
straight
into
a
job.
All
transport
is
provided,
although
it's
worth
noting
a
driving
licence
will
give
you
more
working
opportunities.
Not
all
jobs
are
created
equal,
and
I
was
one
of
the
lucky
ones
who
got
work
on
a
dairy
farm
that
suited
me
well,
but
if
you
have
concerns
you
will
always
be
heard
by
Bec
&
Adam,
unlike
other
places
where
they
seem
to
punish
people
for
feeling
unsuited.
The
hostel
is
cleaned
regularly
and
never
feels
run-down,
there's
free
entertainment
(pool,
darts,
TVs
with
streaming)
as
well
as
a
licensed
bar,
and
a
big
plus
is
the
supermarkets
right
next
to
the
hostel.
WiFi
of
course
isn't
perfect,
but
it's
as
good
as
you
can
get
in
a
shared
hostel.
There
are
enough
cookers
and
showers
that
you
won't
be
constantly
waiting
to
use
anything,
and
even
personal
food
boxes
and
fridge
bags
are
provided
to
stop
things
getting
cramped.
People
are
very
keen
to
come
to
Cambrai,
so
if
you
know
roughly
when
you
want
to
arrive
you
should
probably
ring
up
to
join
the
waiting
list.
Loved
my
2
months
here,
could
have
easily
managed
88
days+
if
I
had
more
time.
Cheers
Bec
and
Adam!
