Roma Street Parkland is a tranquil haven nestled in the heart of Brisbane. This lush and meticulously landscaped park is a breath of fresh air, both figuratively and literally, in the midst of the city's urban landscape. The park is a testament to thoughtful urban planning, offering a diverse range of experiences for visitors. One of the highlights of Roma Street Parkland is its beautifully curated gardens. From the stunning Spectacle Garden with its vibrant floral displays to the calming Rainforest Walk, there's something for every nature enthusiast. The meticulously maintained lawns and water features add to the park's serenity. The park also boasts excellent recreational facilities, including playgrounds for children, making it a great family destination.

What a magical place. Enjoy miles of walking/biking trails amongst the largest sub tropical garden in the world. The grounds are beautifully maintained, very clean, and peaceful. There are numerous large lawn areas for picnics and tables set throughout the park. The children's garden is nestled under the trees with plenty of playground equipment. Kudos to the creators and those who care for it.

Such a lovely parkland in Brisbane CBD: luscious soft grass is perfect for little children, for family picnics or just to walk to admire a well designed flower garden, fountains, lakes where you see ducks and birds. There are friendly lizard to surprise you. Very picturesque perfect for weddings, pictorial, or simple selfie. On weekends there are few food truck, with live music. Towards the middle of park near train station is a beautiful cafe with good coffee and cakes and muffins. I love this park in the heart of Brisbane City It’s accessible by trains, bus or drive your car plenty of parking free on weekends.

Such a lovely spot for a Sunday stroll that's easily accessible by public transport. There's often free events on for all ages, there's a charming coffee shop and it's wheelchair friendly too. I always take out of town visitors here. A true Brisbane gem.

My family visited this place for the first time today.(October 15-Saturday) Weekend parking is cheaper than weekdays!(8 hours on weekends: $9AUD) The public restrooms are also very clean! This place is like an oasis in the city!!! Awesome landscaping, flowers and wild animals (small lizards, birds) in harmony!!! There are also many BBQ places, so our family ate BBQ food for lunch and dinner. In the evening, there is also a nice lighting, so it's a wonderful place!!! I highly recommend to visit this place if you are in Brisbane!!!πŸ‘

Amazing with so many beautiful flowers. Easily accessible by public transport and a great place for slightly older people because the walking path will suit their needs. I had an amazing volunteer who explained to me a little bit about history and different flowers there. There's even a children's playground and plenty of quiet spaces to catch up on your reading.

What a beautiful parkland. Bursting with spring colours and plenty of paths to explore. We saw lots of water dragons in and around the gardens and water. Everywhere we went we could hear the sound of running water. Just beautiful. The kids enjoyed a play at the playground and loved all the creative seats and vegetable gardens as well. Well worth a visit.

Spectacular inner city park! Beautiful gardens throughout with plenty of different paved routes and dogs are allowed off leash within most of the parkland. A few children’s playgrounds, water fountains, picnic areas, rainforest walk and overhead walkways. The Spectacle Garden is stunning and very well done.

A very relaxing place to visit in contrast to the hustle and bustle of the city. There are multiple zones through the parkland dedicated to different types of garden and flora. Many flower beds are in full bloom, with others not far away. Fragrance permeates the air combined with vivid colours, which can be appreciated by all. The park has multiple seating and viewing areas where people can stop and enjoy their surroundings. The one detraction from this is the multiple signs everywhere telling you what you can't do. Accessibility is good for all throughout the park via wide pathways, which is great for those who are mobility restricted. There are picnic and fantastic playground areas catering to families. There are multiple picnic sites with BBQs. The playgrounds are integrated with the gardens and the terrain, allowing for a great experience for the younger ones. There are ample public facilities (toilets, baby change, etc) which are well maintained and clean. There are also cafe/shop options. However, the ones internal to the parkland are only open on weekends. I appreciated the ANZAC corner, which had a very well maintained area for quite remembrance. It is a small annoyance, but it is a pity that the external entrances are so far apart. It is a great place to visit with something new to see/discover every time you wander in.

Great place to take the family for a picnic. Usually has a lot of free events on throughout the year. The gardens are always so vibrant & very well maintained, with cool garden designs to keep you intrigued. Great place for photographers to come take photos of nature. Does have public toilets, a park for the little ones, bubblers & a lovely Cafe.

Spectacular public garden within Brisbane city. Free to enter. Perfect for picnic or bbq or just a short walk and chill. Having lakeside BBQ area with tables and chairs within shaded area - great facilities. Also having drinking water refill fountain. Huge park with different garden sections to explore. Sometimes they also have events or free activities for kids. Small playground near the entrance too. Having car park. You can take yellow spring hill loop free bus (number 30) from the city to the park too. The bus runs every 10 mins so pretty convenient. Only 1 min walk from the bus stop to the park. Highly recommended!

I think Roma Street Parkland is underrated! It’s so beautiful here and so much to explore. So many spots to sit and have a picnic as well. The fountain is absolutely stunning.. and there’s even penguins. Just kidding but the ducks are so cute. Not really too many places to park but to be honest this is the first time I’ve been here so didn’t look too hard. There’s even a few playgrounds for kids too.

Exceptional gardens, ingeniously designed planting and layout packs a huge variety of experiences from walking through tree canopies to exploring cool shaded fern gullies with garden rooms of bright flowers and interesting water features. If you love nature and only have time to explore one place in Brisbane this would be my top recommendation. Bring a sun hat and camera! Congratulations to the talented gardens team for their work and to Council for having the vision to keep these gardens so well maintained as the gardens have grown into a superb experience for tourists and residents alike!

Amazing public gardens. Many beautiful lush zones to explore, it rivals most botanic gardens we've visited. Two small, but very cleverly designed and lovely play equipment spaces. Again, clean and well maintained. The larger of the two is aimed at younger children and my toddler and baby had a wonderful time exploring the space. The pathways are clean and clear, the whole park was immaculately maintained and tended too. We saw lots of cheerful workers who were all happy to stop and wave and chat to my 2 year old who was fascinated with their ATVS and bright uniforms. There was a more than ample amount of BBQs and covered picnic tables. Parking was easy to find on street within the park and we paid a very reasonable $5 an hour and were a three metre walk from the bridge entrance. Our only complaint was that the Parkland Explorer train is no longer running, it's been moved out to the Ipswich Rail Museum. It would have been absolutely magical to ride the train through the park and we very much hope it is reinstated soon!

I love this parkland. It's much bigger than it looks and there is plenty to explore, with footpaths and bridges taking you on different routes. There is also a nice flattish area of grass where you can enjoy a picnic or some sports. Overall really chilled place to spend a weekend or after work

Absolutely beautiful gardens fitting for a clean city like Brisbane! Lots to do here and easy to get lost in adventure while going for a casual walk. The gardens are well maintained with waterfalls and water park features to provide lush ambient sounds drowning out the city noise. Very relaxing place!

Awesome parkland, lots to explore. The children's play area is good, the water fall was picturesque and the toy train journey was really good for the kids. It had a bit wait time, though, but worth it. The gardens are beautiful. A good place to spend a day.

Roma Street Parkland is a great place to visit during the day, to see the tranquil gardens and native wildlife that inhabit the area. It has a variety of walks and gardens to suit most interests. It is also a great place to visit in the evening when there are events on like Enchanted Gardens - these events are usually fairly inexpensive and great to go and see as they are different every time.

Roman Street Parkland in Brisbane is a true urban oasis, a gem nestled in the heart of the city. From the moment you step into this lush paradise, you're greeted with a sense of tranquility that is hard to find in the bustling cityscape. The park's well-manicured lawns, vibrant flower beds, and towering trees offer a picturesque escape that invigorates the soul. It's not just the greenery that makes Roman Street Parkland exceptional; the thoughtfully designed walking paths, which meander through the park, invite visitors to enjoy a leisurely stroll or a brisk walk, all while basking in the beauty of nature. The attention to detail in this park is astounding. The playgrounds are a delight, offering a safe and exciting environment for children to play and explore. The benches strategically placed throughout the park provide perfect spots for relaxation or for simply soaking in the serene atmosphere. The water features add a calming element, their gentle sounds providing a soothing backdrop to the natural setting. The park's maintenance team deserves a special mention for their relentless efforts in keeping the space pristine and welcoming. Their hard work ensures that every visit to Roman Street Parkland is as enjoyable as the last.

A real gem in Brisbane. The photos attached were taken at the light show in December 2023. This park is great for a city lunch, yoga, a peaceful walk. I’ve held many walking meetings here when my office was nearby. Investment in resources like this is what has transformed Brisbane into a gorgeous global city with a high standard of living.

We went to the late session at the Enchanted Gardens in the Parkland . With over 40,000 lights it was truely an awesome experience. Awesome colours throughout, a footpath that lit up and a gorgeous fountain with laser lights, all made up the magic of the walk through the gardens.

The most beautiful, relaxing park I have ever beheld. Take a picnic rug, basket and you spouse, or better half and enjoy the gorgeous waterfalls, water dragons and spectacular gardens. After an hour on a picnic rug I felt like I was on a holiday. Love, love, love it here!

Talk about a park nestled into the City that has so much amazing potential for the entire family to get away from the hustle and bustle and enjoy some tranquility and a great movie in the park. We were not able to see the enchanted forest at night but seeing it at daytime gave us time to walk through it slow and take lots of pictures of the wildlife and the the rain forest tucked into this amazing park. If I were to move to Brisbane which could be possible i would want to live in the area of this park. Perfect for families.

Roma Street Parklands is an outstanding place for anybody to spend quality time sharing the wonderful gardens & grassed areas. There is also an outdoor entertainment stage for live concerts & any other live activities staged in this parklands. Try the Garden Room cafe while you are there, they have a fantastic breakfast menu, & I recommend you try their coffee as well. Roma Street Parklands is within easy walking distance to the Brisbane CBD. Paid Meter parking is available onsite including some disability parking. Roma Street Parklands is conveniently located next to the Roma Street Railway Station, or you can get by Brisbane City Council Buses which run right past the Parklands . A very user friendly Parklands for anyone with a disability or anyone who just wants to take time out.

We specifically went to this place to check out the enchanted garden. With the station situated right there made it was easy to get to. The event itself was amazing, utilising the space meant there were lots to see. From what I could tell the parklands area was relatively big (although I was there late at night). I would recommend this spot to anyone looking to spend some time outside in the weather, seems like there would be lots of room for activities!!

Once upon a time, one had to be a bit selective with when one ventured into this park as the nearby sewage treatment plant often provided an unwelcome fragrance to add to the experience. Odour control works, completed a few years ago seem to have put paid to that ! A really really good playground for little kids, and another excellent facility for wobbly bike riders working to improve their ability.

A long narrow park parallel to the Brisbane Corso with Brisbane River views. The park includes picnic, BBQ shelters, play ares, toilets and water (recently a popular pop-up coffee van). The shared bike path makes a safe alternative to riding along the Corso. It is worth going a little further east to the Newcastle Street Park with a deck and seating overlooking the river and the Eleanor Schonell Bridge.

Brisbane is a great city and The Romastreet Parklands are a very attractive part of our city. This year they celebrate 20 years of operation. A bright spring day is an excellent day to visit our Parklands, and today was no exception.

What's not to love about the parklands, beautifully maintained, colourful spring gardens, waterfalls, quiet areas to just sit & 'be', and great coffee.

Event: 20 years of Roma Street Parkland. Hosted by the very knowledgeable volunteer guide, Laurie. What an amazing place that is open all year round, well maintained and a visual delight. Thank you, Roma Street Parkland.

Beautiful Parkland with great selection of plants and wildlife to watch. Can easily compete with botanical gardens in other parts of the world. Super easy access by public transport, accessible for wheelchairs, car park could be bigger and cheaper though.

Absolutely beautiful and such an easy walk from King George Square. You can grab a map from the hub area but there is lots of signage around the place. It will take me a few visits to get my sense of direction. Certainly a place to back and visit. I am looking forward to the Bush Tucker tour and high tea.

The Enchanted Garden was wonderful. The hours they must have spent setting it up. Would be nice to have a Seniors night as kids were so excited they shouted all the time. Music was really nice, a bit like the music off Reisa from Star Trek. Cannot believe how rude many of the adults were. If you get stressed taking your children out then don't take it out on others. One lady shone out gently asking her kids to let me by. Needed more variety in Food trucks but the Korean BBQ was huge and delicious.

Loved our time in the Enchanted Gardens Christmas lights display. So much fun, the food was fantastic and the lights were beautiful. You really just want to stop and linger and touch everything. Definitely recommend wearing a good pair of shoes.

These are exceptionally lovely gardens. So peaceful and relaxed. Easily accessible from Roma St Station. It was so wonderful to be able to walk around and see the plantings and watch the lizards. Really recommend to all those who arrive early for their trains. It's worth it to actually get to your train too early!

The best parks I've visited to in a long time. Was not able to cover the entire park but the ones we ended up doing was already on par. Happened to see a lot of cute reptiles chilling in the water.

A delightful park at the back of Roma Street Train Station. It's also across the road from St Andrew's War Memorial Hospital which makes for a fabulous place to escape the hospital for a while (if you need a break). The gardens are quite extensive and it's also important to note it's quite hilly at the back section. A huge green with a feature waterfall is close by a lovely cafe. There is also a small number of car parks along the access road right by the green. It's a beautiful parkland for an early morning stroll.

This is a beautifully presented and well cared for garden, adjacent to the Brisbane CBD. An abundance of wildlife and flora. Regularly see the Brisbane City Council folk keeping in clean and manicured. Plenty of bins and public rest rooms around the gardens. Parking next to Roma St Station, or the far side next to the Rainforest area. Whenever we are in Brisbane, we always stop by and have a picnic in these gardens. Love all the Dragons running around.

We arrived by 8am on a public holiday so street parking was easy and the park was nice and quiet. We all enjoyed following the map through the gardens and the playgrounds were a hit with the kids.

I love these gardens, an Oasis in the city. It's design is amazing & it is a wonderful place to wander around & sit in. The mix of water features, garden designs & roaming wild life makes it unique. Plus you can see panoramic views of Brisbane city.

A little patch of paradise right in the city centre. An awesome place to recharge with Mother nature. Beautiful trees, lawns for picnics, flowers, vegie/herb garden area, waterfalls and lake, cool kids playground and a cute garden cafe/restaurant. Also with Roma Station right there.

Had a beautiful few hours here. Many beds are in full bloom, with others not far away. Fragrance permeates the air and whether or not you are a gardener, it's a good place to be. I use a mobility scooter and the accessibility is excellent. There are lots of places to sit and just enjoy the views. There is a playground and lots of picnic areas.

Absolutely love this place, nothing like wondering through the magnificent manicured gardens and taking in all the beautiful colours and fragrances the flowers give off. Watching the birds and butterfly's going about their day. Watch out for the lizards, they are everywhere. There is even a toy train you can jump on for a quick 10 minute ride around the gardens. Cost is $5.00 per person. There are two play grounds for the young ones. We always finish off with a coffee and cake at the cafe/ restaurant. Huge choice of meals from something light and easy to a full meal.

Such a beautiful place! Lots of beautiful trees and plants. A short episode is dedicated to the rainforest. The fountain adds a fresh breeze after all the walking. You can spot some lizards basking in the sun. A great place for families and children. There are restrooms and a picnic area. I recommend to visit!

Fantastic. A great place for full day out. There is plenty to see and do. The parks are family friendly and there was plenty of seating available at the time of visit. The amenities were clean and functional. They also had disability support available and mothers change rooms as well. I have been told that there is an excellent guided tour available which makes the Parkland even more interesting. I have not had that experience as at time of this review.

Roma Street Parkland is a beautiful, clean and modern garden and space with free entry. My favourite area of the garden was the Spectacle Garden which was like a fairytale with meandering pathways shrouded with subtropical trees, weeping plants, colourful flowers and topiary. There are also some pretty cool lizards I saw resting in the sun! Other parts of the garden had grassy fields for picnics/games, bridges into the tree canopy, toilts, picnic tables and BBQ, water fountain and a lake. Also saw many birds such as swamp hens/pukeko, ducks and black swans. Avery peaceful place for everyone!

Beautiful and well maintained park! It’s good to see that there are many seating areas, toilet is nice and tidy. There’s a flower exhibition during our visit and it was great to see! Hats off the Roma park management and to all of your gardeners!

Great park for family outings as well as casual strolls. Every corner shows something different and interesting, lot's of playgrounds and BBQ places. If you stare at a stone long enough, you might just discover some lizards chilling there.

22.11.23 We walked the "Enchanted Garden" nightime walk, to view the amazing lightshow. No rush, with interesting background sounds which worked perfectly with their lighting scenes. I can highly recommend this for Adults and Kids of all ages.

Enchanted gardens were beautifully presented and the story line was really lovely for all ages. Great value for money. It would be wonderful to see a stronger limit for visitors per session. Too many people crammed in at once and far to close to each other.

Went to visit the enchanted garden tonight. So busy and popular but I understand why. Impressive hologram and the lights fit the narrative they had gone with.

Absolutely amazing experience when visiting! Highly recommend for both tourists and locals. The scenery was magnificent. So many different flowers, plants, trees, water features, and little critters were there to soak in! The sounds of the city are completely drowned out, which contributed amazingly to a quiet and peaceful experience. The abundance of flora made the air smell sweeter and clean. There is a playground within the area for little ones to enjoy and to give parents and guardians a spot to sit and rest. It was fairly clean all things considered, and hazards are limited. Multiple events are held at this location throughout the year for families to enjoy, and they're rather spectacular! A huge highlight of this location is its accessibility. I had 0 trouble getting around with my wheelchair from start to finish. The pathways are wide enough to accommodate more than one wheelchair user side by side, and the steepest hills are still manageable when using a manual wheelchair. I intend to visit again, and highly recommend this location for all ages.
