It is dishonest, lazy staff working in this gym. Please move away from this horrible gym. I visited this gym for cancellation of my membership. Even though it was a no contract membership, this gym ask me 1 month notice. What is the heck of the reason to use no contract membership then? The worst things was I sent the cancellation membership email in front of their staff but they didn't read the email. Over a month, they didn't read my email, never reply, and never cancel my membership. They charged two more weeks without a reason. I complained over the phone they said we will contact you but they didn't. Again please move away from this kind of highway robbery.

This gym honestly used to be the best of the best, now it is washed up, over crowded and full of out dated equipment. You would be lucky if you could even get a park! I definitely will not be renewing my membership. CBJ cant keep up with the new clubs.

Parking atrocious and membership fees far too high for what’s on offer. Air con non existent some says. So bad. Couple this with ongoing membership cancellation issues (even if you haven’t signed a contract, you still have to give notice?!) where they just keep taking money out of your account and don’t respond to any emails. Was good a decade ago, but now full of old equipment. Washed out.

I was a member for 6 months after my contract finished I didn't do another 6 month contract I just kept going and the guy who did my paper work left a note saying no contract but after 6 months I realised I am still being charged when I call them they say there's no note on your files and you have 6 months contract.

It's a shame to sign a contract wiz this gym，after the contract was finished，they still keep charging me. I had contacted em for a few times，there is not any phone number u can call. Later，they explained that I need to send an email so that I can cancel it but why the hell the staff told me like it was canceled when I walked in？ In the emails，they tried to use every way to explain all the faults are made by me，super bad service，reply quite slow，the thing they are talking about doesn't make sense and I will show those eamils too. Really bad service I have ever seen，rough customer service and all the things they care is the money in ur pocket. They know I walked into the gym and they are asking me for an email proof，that's really unfair and shame on em. There are so many good gyms around here，it's not worth to go to cbj if u wanna have a bad experience. Now I will ask fair trade and let's see what will happen soon，trash.

their contract is sneaky even if its a no contract they will tell you need 1 month notice before they let you go. if you sign you are signing your life away. terrible and steal people's money

They are absolutely frued. They hide their informations and charge extra money later. Their customer services are too poor. This one of the most Disgusted gym in Brisbane.

On the website says free trial but they still charged $20 for a trial!? When we go back to check with them, they said not refundable……not surprised why they lost many members….they only want money.

The gym itself, equipment and the vibe of the gym, I would give a three star rating. Variety equipment, bit dated, way too packed. I always avoided busy time. Sometimes it is really difficult to find parking too. Julie Holt Pilates classes would be four stars, I think it's very nice for beginners to try. However, the management, I'd give zero. Have had the worst experience going with customer team and over the phone with receptionists. I have been treated in quite condescending manners over the phone even though it was a payment error made by their end. I was told more than few times that it would be fixed, but it took me several emails and phone calls to follow up and finally get a refund. You have to be really patient to hear back from the customer team over email. It was a repetitive chase up when my emails got ignored, called the gym to follow up, only to be told that they would pass on the message or have whoever responsible to call me, no calls, sending emails and etc. It really does not meet the basic standard of communication with the customer team. For a gym that's claiming to be one of the biggest gym in Brisbane, I am quite appalled with their standards. Maybe they have enough money to not care about customers leaving their gym. The person who does customer service, I'm not sure if they're doing it on purpose or just not capable of doing a simple job or too busy with other things I don't know, he always seems to miss one or two things. Always. I now finally have one more thing for them to fix then my cancellation process would be done. It is disappointing because I quite enjoyed being in the gym until I had to communicate with the management.

Beware of their dodgy membership terms. They try and milk you even after you've quit or past your membership terms. Don't join this gym. Find another one..

Setting up the contract and attending is fine. Once you try and terminate the contract even with the correct notification time(1month) and you supply all your details, they will still continue to take money out of your account. Then when you contact them about a refund, they will practically never reply to you and will not even attempt to send the refund. I will NEVER go to these money leaches ever again.

Poor customer service, staff always on mobile phones. Never received my 1 hour personal trainer and now even with no contract I'm being charged for 30 days extra despite them knowing I am waiting for knee surgery so can't go to gym. Maybe the owner should stop the staff from hiding in the office and do some work

Genuinely in love with this gym. The layout is absolutely phenomenal. Never have I come even at peak hour and had to wait for a squat rack or even have a stretch in a variety of space. The team is extraordinarily friendly, the pricing is unbeatable and the vibe of all the locals are very laid back. Highly recommend this gym for someone who loves the space and variety of machines to get those gainssss.

I've been to other brands of gyms. But here is the best. First of all, the gym is spacious and divided into several sections, so it can be used conveniently. And having a swimming pool is another good thing. There are hairdryers and irons at CBJ shower room. Furthermore, there is a cafe, if you tell them the calories of the food what you want, they cook it right away.

There is a MASSIVE sign on the wall saying put your weights back after you finish using them, and EVERY TIME I have been there, there are heavy weights on EVERY machine, it make me furious. I can't lift them off! I weigh 46kg, I can't lift my own body weight. Even the trainers in there leave the weights on the machines after training a client! Also why did they get rid of the lines at the bottom of the pool when it was renovated? Makes it very difficult to share the lane with other people. It's an exercise pool after all, not a leasure pool.

I’ve been a member at CBJ for roughly 12 months now. The staff are friendly, respectful and knowledgeable and the gym, facilities and equipment are modernised and great to use. Most importantly the atmosphere of the gym has a stress free environment and all the members are friendly and respectful of each other. I love the sessions at CBJ and highly recommend this gym to anyone! 5 stars all day!

The equipment is in great condition and is always kept clean. The staff are friendly and easy going. At CBJ Health Club I feel confident and motivated to reach my fitness goals.

I highly recommend signing up to CBJ Health Club. Especially if you’re a beginner like I was when I joined! The staff are super friendly, they have great trainers and you have unlimited access to the gym. There’s also a lot of equipment and a large variety of weights which is great for peak hours (nobody misses out) :)

I'm really enjoying this family run gym. I like that staff aren't constantly up selling everything and management seem to genuinely care about their members. Membership is competitive considering the quality of service and equipment. Again, quality equipment, better than when I went to Fitness First, which is meant to be a premium gym. At first it seemed like there was almost to many weight machines etc. but now I've been a member for a few weeks, it doesn't encroach on the person next to you, plus it's such a huge space and works. I can't imagine it's missing any machine to isolate any muscle you need to work on. Loving the classes and reformer pilates so far. I haven't used the 25mt pool yet but looks good!

The gym is always super clean, the staff are super lovely and welcoming. There is ample equipment and plenty of virtual classes and group fitness classes available. Shoutout to the PT Ross for motivating and pushing me to train the best I can.

Why Cbj dumbbells are like puzzles. We r take time for looking for set of dumbbells and mixup weight. I told to staff many times. Need weight decals on the racks and more clear and color full decals on Dumbbell. But still not changed. Cbj bumbbells are everywhere!! Nobody care. No drink water.

Five stars. Reception staff were very friendly when I was signing up and gave me a tour of the gym. Their knowledge and passion for fitness and health along with great facilities with everything you need it was an easy decision to sign up to this gym and start my fitness journey. I have been coming consistently for a month now am loving it

Worst gym to go to, it’s always over packed. The equipment are not great for the price your paying. And if you sign the contract term, the only way to cancel it is by having a doctor certificate or live more than 25km away from the gym plus pay $150 fee. They make it so hard to leave.

Very well equipped gym with big range of hammer strength and cybex kit. Unfortunately it is very poorly maintained, used towels left lying around, frequently out of cleaning equipment and toilets that are frequently out of order. Only join if you can up with these issues.

I had a very unpleasant experience when terminating the contract. With a six-month contract, I knew I had to notify the termination of the contract by e-mail one month in advance. So, I sent a notification by e-mail a month before the 6-month contract and received a reply saying that 10 days of business day may be required. A few days later, I visited them myself, and the manager told me that if I paid the fee for the next two weeks, there were no additional charges upon termination of the contract. After that, after 3 days, I noticed that the week's worth of usage fees were automatically deducted from my account, and I requested a refund by e-mail. The manager was sorry to me and told me that if I wrote down my account number, I would give it a refund. It has been more than two weeks since I provided the account number, but they said that they are still not giving refunds and are in the process of being processed.

Such a good gym! Always so welcoming. The team always has a smile on their face and make you feel so comfortable. PT Jorden pushes me to hit my goals and no matter how many times I say "I can't do it" he somehow always proves that I can.

Stay away from these money grabbers. Dodgy people specially when you finish the contract even after the completion of your contract term. They don’t even bother to reply your emails once you request them to cancel your membership.

Been working out at this gym for over a year. Even if I want to, I don't feel a lot of other gyms in Brissie could match the standard and the crowd.

I love it here. The staff are always so helpful and greet you as soon as you step foot inside. I love how there’s so many of the same equipment so there’s never a wait. Last but not least the 25m metre heated pool is my jam - dig it

Machine variety and quality is great. However the plates are scattered across the gym with absolutely zero organisation. I have to walk all over the gym to find the plates I want. Also majority of the plates are in pounds which makes zero sense. Dumbbells are very old and majority of them are in pounds too. Also there is only 4 benches for pressing which also doesn't make sense with how big the place is. Honestly if they had more kg plates are they were organised and not scattered randomly across the place I would give it 4.5.

I have found the managers and staff very friendly and helpful and the class instructors very motivational,friendly and professional. I would not hesitate to recommend any class session to anyone. Mal Savage

The gym is fantastic! Its huge! Plenty of space for everyone and plenty of equipment available even in peak times! It's the cleanest gym I've ever seen and the staff are friendly and helpful.

Plenty of equipment but can't get on it, even in the quiet times. The staff make an effort to say hello when you enter but that's the last you'll hear from them. As previously stated, the carpark is usually full. I also noted plenty of posers just laying on equipment, taking selfies. Putting their towel on equipment to reserve it then spending the next 10 minutes talking to their mates...selfish, narcissistic people. It could be a much better gym if it was managed differently.

Very clean and well equipped gym. No egos and everyone puts their weights back and cleans their station after use, which is rarely seen these days. The staff are super helpful and friendly would highly recommend

The first thing that stands out about this gym is the atmosphere. Everyone's doing their own thing at their own pace. It's an awesome place to go to for pretty much everyone. Beginners can start training without being judged if they make mistakes, and more serious lifters will have the tools to do whatever they need. It has just about every machine you can think of (lots of hammer strength, hammer strength MTS, life fitness and cybex) and some other finer details other gyms won't even think of (like a sturdy handle in a wall to pull on and stretch your back). The equipment is very well kept, and very well selected too. Other than that the gym has a pretty huge heated pool and some steam rooms too. They have a really large space where they hold group fitness classes, another area where you can stretch and do other things, and another area where they hold pilates classes. I think what sets this place apart is the fact that its not just another commercial gym. Its somewhere where some people have really poured their heart and souls into building a gym that meets everyones needs, and god-damn did they do a good job!

We signed up to 12month deal. I lost my job and was unable to make payments. This company refused to suspended or cancel my membership that interrupt me in an even more situation. Avoid at all costs.

I am member here and mainly swim so its the Pool I access more at this stage and not bad got to pick your times to go as it gets busy

I have been to many gyms in my time and needless to say CBJ is my all time favourite! I have so many positive things to say about this gym I don’t know where to begin! But the one thing that sticks out the most is the amazing staff!! I personally ask to see James everytime as he has been the most helpful in my journey. Thanks James!

I used to love the group fitness class, but all my favorite instructors left earlier this year. The new instructors lack inspiration, and I find it hard to stay motivated during the class now.

I like this gym because it has pretty much everything you can offer as a gym, from pilates classes, groups without classes, swimming pool, weights to all the gym machines available. The staff is friendly and the membership fee is very reasonable too.

- Poor ventilation in the gym and shower area. - Lockers are always reserved by people who leave their toiletries in the lockers. They are never available. - Female cleaner cleaning the male shower without notice - Equipments are old and always not fully functioning - Staffs, you can either clean the area or equipments and return equipments back in place if bored

Never join this gym. Waste your money . When My daughter joined gym Staff did not explained full conditions which is minimum 6 month contracts. 2 month later she tried to cancel membership she know about contract and she have to pay full amount of money until contract finished. When she sent e mail for cancelation for memberships, CBJ replied to pay one month fees again cause cancelation waiting periods. I can not understand this situation

The equipment is excellent and there is plenty of it. Even in busy times, you can still find machines to use. The staff and not great. Swearing, pushy guys who are too cool to wear masks during the mask mandate. If the gym was unstaffed it would be 5 out of 5

Cbj is well equiped, has great air conditioning, the staff are friendly and informative. Instructors are great. Classes are fun 😊 and the cafe is now open!💓

Friendly and helpful staff, the instructors of the pelatih, bodybalance and yoga are great , that make the classes enjoyable and rewarding. Is an extra bonus to be able to use the pelatih machine at any time.. The indoor pool is definitely a big bonus for me.

It's a nice gym with good equipments.... management is friendly never disturbs your so you can do your workout...not trying to sell different products, it's a gym where you can workout without being disturbed.

CBJ Health Club has amazing facilities for all. You won’t find another gym like it. From the pool to the weight lifting racks it really has all the equipment you will need. I have not seen a gym that offers the amount of services that CBJ do. Definitely worth signing up to.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Great gym equipment. When I first visited I was greeted by Christian at the reception. And ever since that day I have been a member with CBJ.

My slatt told me about this gym and I've been coming ever since. Definitely better than World Gym across the road. Big ups to my man Christian who works reception, he is the slime.
