I have a mixed feeling about this place. I mean, they served good food. Decent portion, tasty but the food are traditional and typical. Baked beans, sausages, eggs. The place was so busy, so I guess the locals like them. I was expecting more modern cafe food, but maybe I had too much expectation.

. I came with a Friend asked the waiter what he recommended and he said the schnitzel was his favourite so I went with that. It was so good crunchy very juicy. The gravy was yummy. We shared dumplings they where nice too. My friend had A chicken parmigiana. Really good coffee! Let’s talk about the restaurant layout it’s funky with lots of photos from singer and musical instruments very fun it and cool

The breakfast is satisfying, but not extraordinary. The coffee is small and average, lacking any unique appeal. However, the cafe has a lively and enjoyable vibe, creating a pleasant lively atmosphere. Its nice music-themed interior adds to the overall charm, while the outdoor seating provides a fun experience. While the breakfast and coffee might not be exceptional, the inviting ambiance makes it a place worth revisiting, especially for enjoying the lively vibe.

A must for music lovers! Clearly the owners love music by the decorated walls and the great tunes being played throughout. Additionally, the staff were really friendly so this created a relaxed environment for a long awaited lazy afternoon catch up. The menu was extensive but as we were not super hungry we ordered the fish and chips to share. The food was good and we were definitely left to graze at our own pace, which was awesome as we were catching up with a friend we had not seen in years. Would definitely recommend this cafe especially if you’re a lover of music!

Great atmosphere. Loved people and doggo watching from our comfy arm chair seats in the cafe looking out to the street. Delicious chardonnay and tasty chips. Lots of interesting decor to look at inside. Good service.

Bush hustle and bustle vibe of St Kilda. This is definitely an institution with good vibes. The ambiance is great with old classic playing over the speakers and lots of funky decor. Worth a visit but can get busy.

Fish n chips were ok, serving size a little under what I was expecting. Atmosphere was good, 70's type background music. Service was quick.

This place has a good vibe. Nice music playing and fun and lively atmosphere. Love it's timings because it is open till late and the menu is gigantic. Lot's of food and drinks options. The Iced coffee was not so great but tap beer was good. We also ordered Chicken Risotto and Lamb Souvlaki. The risotto was nice and tasty but the lamb tasted a bit under. So, we asked one of the staff who was happy to replace it. But they made us wait too long for it and bringing different order instead. After waiting for about 30-40 minutes we got our order. But it did not taste great. It was just alright and have tasted some great same dish. But it was fun sitting there and enjoying the vibe. It was very busy and the staff was friendly as well.

First time here. The atmosphere was good. The restaurant style is 50s to 70s. I ordered Abbey Road Breakfast. It was delicious. I also like the environment. Please try it if you are near Abbey Road 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

Went to the Abbey Road Cafe in St Kilda today. What an amazing place. The gentleman that who was (I am guessing the owner/manager) was incredible with an amazing sense of humour. I had eggs Benedict which for the first time had its bernaise sauce cooked properly with great flavour. Our coffees were also excellent. What an amazing venue. Just saying!!!! 🥹😃

Went there the other day with my brother. Had the steak. Asked for it medium rare and it was past well done, said it came with mash and salad but only got chips and a sauce , Chile con carne was missing the carne, not edible. Went to the toilet and when I was back the server had already taken everything including my jug of beer and the cocktail . Didn’t even offer to make up for it but still charged whole price. Been there for breakfast and it’s been nice so it was bit of disappointment this time.

We had a lovely brunch. Service was good, we were asked to take the order 4 times but it is better than being forgotten. You pay after eating which is good, feels European. Had avocado on toast and bacon and egg roll and a delicious banana smoothie (milk with real banana and not syrup). Will definetly come again.

Can I give 6 stars for everything? I absolutely loved the ambience and the decor. Lots of guitars on the walls, posters of rock bands and singers, artistes etc. Usually there is a live band here, but there wasn't one yesterday, which was a bummer. But the food was amazing. The meat on the ribs was falling off the bone! Highly recommended!

Been here a few times and the pace is just consistent, reliable and easy going. Indoor, outdoor options, fairly quick service, and everything is always fresh! Not to mention, such fun decor for all those who like music. Also, always seems to be filled with regulars which is always a good sign.

Stumbled across this cafe and a music bar at night in St Kilda. Great atmosphere, food was great, service good. Well what do you expect it’s Melbourne renowned for food and culture. If in the area check it out even if you are only going to have a coffee :)

Abbey Road- Love the open air environment, on a hot day, maybe some fans would be ideal, hanging from ceiling. Ordered the Vegan Salad with Halloumi extra for $35.50. I would suggest- as ‘Roasted Pumpkin’ is the first mentioned ingredient in this dish, it was slightly disappointing to only receive bare amounts of the pumpkin- the majority of the dish was ‘Baby Spinach’. Likewise, more Avocado would have made this dish a totally amazing 5/5 star option. Overall, the pickled Radish combined with the ingredients was a highlight & tasted superb with the Halloumi. For $35.50- I don’t think it would be that difficult to add more Roast Pumpkin & Avocado. The Mango Passionfruit Smoothie $14.00, with Bonsoy was SO tropical and refreshing- highly recommend. It was difficult to get the attention of staff to place an order, but once they came, the girls were very helpful. Will be back again for a second try at this particular Vegan Salad- hopefully with more Pumpkin & Avocado. Altogether $49.50 is ‘up there’ for a Salad with Halloumi & a Smoothie. So, I would expect a totally amazing Salad for this price. My friend ordered the Fish & Chips- it looked nice.

Great atmosphere with a relaxing retro vibe. Great customer from all wait staff. Although waiting over half hour for the food to arrive, it was nice, however I found the portion sizes a little on the small side. Particularly the pork belly. There was more plate than food. Overall it was a good experience

Such a great place! We had arrived in Melbourne after an early morning commute. Wanted a good feed and some cocktails and this place delivered. Great venue, nice staff and good vibe. Ended up going back for dinner.

Well priced, delicious food and drinks - cocktails definitely with the money. Extremely friendly service! Loved the decor and killer playlist, best hits from 50-80s - what a vibe!! Had such a lovely dinner with the family here. So glad I discovered this place 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾

This is a must visit. The staff are phenomenal. I enjoyed watching the Gents go back & forth greeting and serving tables. The food was great, my scrambled eggs were served cold but no fuss, I just made do. The waffle, bacon and hot chocolate were all delicious. I loved the decor and music. This was a perfect day and perfect place to dine and enjoy wonderful company!

Good food. Good coffee. Great vibe! This place is fantastic. Really captures the rock vibe. The artwork and atmosphere are remove to warrant coming here already, and the friendly staff and food are absolute icing on the cake.

What a great place this is. Food, service, ambience couldn’t be faulted. A step back in time surrounded by paintings, posters and musical instruments from the 1950’s onwards with background music from those times. A variety of food and drink to satisfy most tastes , and an open front onto the street to observe the diverse variety of passing St Kilda locals and visitors. Highly recommended!

Atmosphere and decor in this place was fabulous. Loved the music . Great selection of food. A menu that anyone could come in and choose from and find something to eat. Shared a pizza and it was the perfect size for two for lunch . I loved that people could have their dogs join them out the front while they eat also .
