Absolutely amazing and extensive collections of not just great Australian beers (signage, cans, schooners, etc.) but also showcases historic farm equipment, telephones and cool vintage cars. So much passion and history in this place. The not-your- ordinary tour by the owner himself, Neil, is a bonus not to be missed. Neil made it concisely informative and delivered in an interactive and fun manner. You’ll surely leave with a pound of knowledge and a ton of smile. Bonus: you can order a beer or wine to drink whilst enjoying your walk/viewing/tour. There are footy memorabilia which you can buy which proceeds goes to a children foundation. WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE FOR EVERYONE TO VISIT. You’ll surely not gonna regret it.

What can I say... WOW..WOW..WOW. Originally, I had no plans of visiting when my husband did. We were in the area for other reasons and when we were heading home, he detoured via here...I am so glad he did. This place blew me away. Despite the name..so much more to this place than just beer.. If you are a collector..appreciate collections..love history and many other things. This is one place to visit. And...what makes it better than most..the owner.. Call in..be educated and have a laugh. You will not be disappointed.

Bloke went out of his way to open for only for 4 tourists and after hours. He and his wife drove back to Echuca from Colac just to share his passion and love for a collection of a to z Australian history. From Automobiles to Zany figurines. This is a must see, MAKE the time. The beers were never dry, always ice cold and a great range to choose from. Apple cider to zebra he has it. Every square centimetre from floor to roof there is something to see. Focus points for myself was the original CUB wooden horse drawn cart, fully restored by CUB horse drawn cart gifted to him for his passion and pure joy of doing the museum. And 1 of only 3 of the very first beer can ever made. Nice hall for functions like Weddings and such. And finally the most important part, the man makes the tour so engaging and entertaining with great humour and a magic to his personality that would make even a moldy piece of cabbage seem like it is the best meal you have ever had in your life! 12 of 10 stars

Highly recommended. I read many reviews and saw the ratings before going there. But still surprised me. Neil is passionate about his life long collection and Australian history. He is a great story teller and showman that presents his passion and history in very interesting way. He could be good stand up comedian. Having him telling you the story add great touch to his amazing collection. Don’t miss it if you are in the area. I hope someone could catalogue all his collection and would add more note to each items. Government should give him some grants to expand this amazing work. This need to be deserved for future generations.

A great experience to view some Australian history not just the beer can collection. Enjoyed the car's and the old signs as well as the farm machinery. Also a great talk from Neil explaining a number of the items in his collection

What a fantastic place!!! I cannot recommend this place enough. Neil's enthusiasm is infectious what an absolute legend and amazing place to explore. This place is a must see and to boot Neil donates the profits to the local children's hospital! True blue Aussie wish I had found it sooner and had more time there. Will definitely be back. Thanks again Neil

You don't have to be a beer lover to go here, so many more things to see, and you won't be disappointed. Could not fault this place from minute we arrived with a very warm (n slightly hurried welcome from Frosty who was keen to get us inside as The tour booked in had just started with Neil/owners presentation) what a lovely welcome from Neil who introduced himself to each of us and shaking hands even with the 17 n 12 year old ... Neil had a great sense of humour involved everyone including the kids getting them to join in helping him, whilst also giving prizes for there help, and also one Viet Vet (who answered a question correctly and was there with about 4 others you won a prize and left it for Neil to give to my, 17yr old grandson, he was stoked, and all he wanted to do was find you and thank you, so if you ever read this you made one young man's day, and a big thank you.) To Neil and Frosty was a pleasure meeting you both, I never expected such a huge n absolutely amazing well kept Man Shed + function centre I think any man would be proud to have, ( what a great place for a function, far from the norm.) A credit to you. Keep up the good work the great personality and anyone who hasn't yet been a must do to put on your to do list.

Loved looking at everything in the museum & still not seeing it all as there is so much on display! Like that Neil came out to greet us on arrival & his personal tour. We managed to visit before Neil & Andrea have a well deserved annual break

This place is absolutely amazing and so is the host lol, a barrel of laughs. The biggest collection of beer cans I've ever seen (18500) and also houses the rarest can ever seen! He also collects a lot of furphy machinery as well. I will definitely go back when I'm in Echuca again. Cheers 🍻

My wife and I had a great time there, we hadn't been there for a long time so Neil has certainly made big expansions. I would highly recommend a visit and would allow around two hours. Just meeting Neil is worth the adventure, top bloke and a real character.

  • 5/5 Katie W. 6 months ago on Google
Neil & the team were very knowledgeable & friendly making the experience 5 stars! Such an impressive collection to see, well worth the visit. Allow at least 1.5 hours to take in all this venue has to offer.

Today we were greeted by Neil in the car park, he came out to say hello and introduce himself which was such a lovely, personal touch. We were then given a tour by Ray, who was just as wonderful and full of information. We had our dogs with us, and they so kindly accommodated them and welcomed them to join in, which was such a delight for us being devoted pet parents. The museum itself is amazing. There is so much Australian history here as well as an incredible family history, which I feel privileged to have learnt about. It's inspiring to think of how many incredible, everyday people there are that have made such a difference in this world silently, and we need more places like this to shed light on these everyday heroes. Thank you!

If you're in Echuca and don't visit the Great Aussie Beer Shed, then you're just not an Aussie! All I can say is WOW! What a collection! It truly is overwhelming! We spent just over a couple of hours there but could have easily spent a full day there. The hosts, Neil & Andrea are absolutely wonderful people - very welcoming and happy to help you in any way they can as they're deservedly proud of their incredible museum. Even our dogs were welcome! It wasn't just the huge collection of over 20,000 beer cans than was mindblowing but it was all the Australiana, the carriages, the cars, the farm equipment and so many other items of interest from the past that kept us on our toes and watching in wonderment! Highly recommend and if you only have time to visit one place in Echuca, make sure this is it! Loved it!

We went to see the museum, knowing there will be a lot of old beer cans which would be interesting! But we were surprised by the tour guided by Mr Neil. Felt authentic, a life time dedication and his very interesting view point of Austrlian history, society, war and perfect show involving kids to pass the information about all these was just awesome! I admire the collection and would love to see this place and similar to stay operational and informative as it is now having Neil there.

A great set-up and a very entertaining visit. Neil is a total character, probably heard that a trillion times. Andrea was lovely. We spent 3 hours here so I recommend to put aside a few hours if you are going to visit. Pretty cheap outing for the tourist and a good deal for a beer and stubby cooler if you like a bevvy. We will be back and if I don't bring Cliffy, Neil will kill us lol. Highly recommend visiting, even if you don't do beer god forbid. 10/10

We Couldn't recommend this place more! The owner Neil is very welcoming and gives an amazing presentation to all who do the tour. His collection is beyond impressive! Definitely a must see if your visiting the area. We took our 2 young kids and they had a blast looking at the car museum and playing with the resident kitty cat.

What an amazing collection of beer cans and mugs, beer trays and much more. And you can have a couple of beers 🍻 while you take in this awesome display. I would highly recommend dropping into The Great Aussie Beer Shed.

Absolutely amazing place. The more you look the more you see. Neil, the owner, is entertainment on his own, with his great sense of humour and his knowledge of all the pieces that he has collected over 47years. This was our second visit, our first was 5 yrs ago. It did not disappoint, Neil has added to his collection and quite honestly you could look for days and still find things you didn't see the first time you looked. If your in Echuca do yourself a favour , go and meet Neil and his beautiful wife and take a look their Great Aussie Beer Shed.

  • 5/5 Lisa A. 7 months ago on Google
The Great Aussie beer shed is amazing, and Neil and Andrea are spectacular hosts they are easygoing, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable. Tours are run. Give them a call. This is a must if you are visiting Eucha. There are plenty of things to look at: car museum, petrol bowsers, farm equipment, Anzac memorabilia, and most importantly beer products by the 1000s. This will keep you entertained for hours and free drink with your entry ticket.

I had a chill out on my way to my Murray River campsite from the Violet Town Market Saturday week ago. Pleased to find this interesting tourist attraction an excellent bar plus so much more (museums to devote a an hour or two too!) enjoyed a beer and interacting with a group nearby in the bar area. Very friendly staff with a warm welcoming vibe & smile. Be back to devote some hours to the museums etc! Thanks to the team!

This is a MUST SEE if you find yourself in Echuca! Definitely a one-of-a-kind experience with Neil, who is admittedly "mad" (his words). I believe he's only open on the weekends but I was part of a tour of local farms and irrigation districts and plans were made in advance for a one-off tour during the week. Best to check your schedule and his prior to arriving. His tour was stunningly entertaining with Australian history and facts ... Oh, and also beer - plenty of beer. Very engaging for all participants throughout the tour! So much history and memorabilia under one roof! So glad I went. Keep it up, Neil!

This place is amazing. The host has collected such a wonderful variety of rare and unusual objects that tell the history of our country. This isn't just a beer collection. My husband and I collect Coca Cola items, but this collection is WOW. There are rare pieces and unusual pieces both inside and outside. The host is a real character, so full of enthusiasm for his collection and so knowledgeable about the history of the items. We could have spent all day here.

  • 5/5 Dominique M. 6 months ago on Google
Wow! We called in to the Beer shed just to check it out and the hospitality we received from Neil was amazing! Thankyou so much! We will be back for sure as there is so much to see and the 48 hard years of collecting everything, the photos just don't do it justice. If you are ever travelling through it is definitely worth the detour and to see the amazing history that this place has to offer! You won't be disappointed! Thanks again Neil and crew! See you again soon! (The mug is awesome! Thanks again!) :)

This is without a doubt the largest collection of amazing memorabilia I have ever seen. The multinational beer tins from the very old to the most recent are incredible and the collection of early Australian motor cars are definitely worth seeing. We were lucky on the day my family and myself visited because Neil the owner was free to take us around this amazing warehouse of goodies. There were sobering items from The Great War and funnier exhibits from every decade. I strongly urge anyone who likes to visit a memorable experience and have a drink for the price of admission to go and sample this unforgettable experience.

Wow. You will be amazed at this collection. There is a bit of everything to do with beer and garage style collectables. There is also the world's rarest can. Connected is a farming museum and a small car museum. The Heritage Function Centre is a great place to have a gathering, it holds 100 with a dance floor or 150 without. There is a bar with bottle and can varieties and also a free outdoor bbq area. The whole facility is wheelchair friendly. Coach and bus groups are welcomed with ample parking for large vehicles.
