We returned to Reef Sprinter for a second time after our visit to Port Douglas last year. We really like this 8.30-12 tour as it’s just a 15 minute exhilarating trip by speedboat to the island with plenty of time for snorkeling. We prefer this location to the outer reef as we find it a bit more relaxing snorkeling from the beach rather than the back of a boat. We saw just as much variety of marine life as our outer reef visit a week ago when we were in Cairns, including observing a gorgeous turtle. Small numbers means it’s quick to get everyone briefed and equipped and husband and I appreciated the snorkels with corrective lenses. Staff are great and we had a brilliant time. :)

Excellent morning out on the low isles half day tour. Went out in choppy conditions and the ride was really fun. Started in overcast weather and still had plenty of wildlife and visibility before the sun came out. Really good tour for kids or people who only want a half day tour straight in and out with a long snorkel in between. While I would recommend snorkeling the outer reef over the half day or low isles tour due to the variety of coral and fish this is a great experience for a much lower cost.

This was a wonderful experience. It's great for those who dont want to commit to w full day at the reef and still have a great experience. The team at Reef Sprinter were friendly, professional and ensured we all had a great time. Would definitely recommend if ever in Port Douglas.

We initially chose sprinters because of the quick 15 min boat trip out. The boat ride was so much fun! In the first 20 minutes snorkelling we saw 2 sharks and a turtle. Nice and friendly guides. Lovely reef and clean beach on the island to rest. Absolutely worth doing! I will definitely go again and recommend to our friends. And I loved the prescription goggles!!

Amazing experience to the Low Isles on the great barrier reef! The boat was not just speedy, it was super fast! If you get sea sick but want to try snorkelling on the reef, then this is the boat for you.. There's no time to get nauseous on this boat. The driver was professional and provided all the equipment (incl stinger suit, excellent mask and snorkel - not once did they fog up!). If you have back problems then avoid this tour. The coral and reef were so colourful and beautiful. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

Amazing experience, I would 100% do again! We did the Low Isles half day, from the back of the boat. We had considered all our options, but ultimately chose Reef Sprinter due to how small the groups are (up to 13 people). Very happy with everything. Speed boat was super fun, the staff are all very friendly, and we got to see a lot of fish (even a shark!) You are provided a wet suit (if you want it), along with snorkeling gear, you just gotta bring a towel, sunscreen and bathers. There’s also room in the speedboat to leave your bag.

Good fun, theme park ride on the way out. Good fun smashing through the waves. Visibility even on a cloudy day is good enough to see beautiful corals and fish. Not too many people and good opportunity to make

From start to finish this amazing experience was easy! Easy to book, ran on time, well informed and personable guides. Even better it was the perfect first time snorkelling experience for us to share with our 5 year-old son! We saw turtles, giant clams, a reef shark and everything else you could want in between! Thank-you Reef Sprinter for the perfect snorkelling experience!

Great experience on this 1/2 day low isle snorkelling tour. Fast boat with plenty of time left for snorkeling from the island. Plenty of coral and fish to see. Was expecting the reef to be dead but it was beautiful. Really helpful knowledgeable staff too. Thanks for a lovely day.

Magical, tick off bucket list Fast boat out to Low Isles was fun and exciting. I usually get sick but was absolutely fine. Snorkelling around the reefs was amazing. We saw so many tropical fish, reef shark and beautiful turtle. Reef Sprinter staff made everything so easy, they were friendly and knowledgeable Can’t wait to do it again when we next visit Port Douglas.

We chose Reef Sprinter Low Isles tour as we have young children and being able to take a break on the beach was fantastic as they ended up being a bit scared of the amazing sea life, meaning they could snack while Hubby and I took turns snorkelling. If I was going just adults, defs would go an outer reef trip as coral and sealife is far more colourful and plentiful. Saying that, we saw beautiful coral, loads of beautiful fish and a reef shark. Tour operators were friendly and knowledgeable. Speedboat out was awesome! The highlight for the kids and heaps of fun (and quick). Small group was fantastic too (Max 14). Highly recommend reef sprinter!

Absolutely incredible experience, loved every minute of it. We saw a stingray, a shark and turtles on the “option b” tour. Highly recommended, will for sure be back to do it again. All the staff were absolutely fantastic, extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Great with our two kids. The equipment was also great quality, and nice to be all included instead of being an add on.

Easy day from start to finish. Fast ride out to the Island, lovely staff. Saw a turtle before we were out of the boat which was extremely lucky. We were snorkelling within minutes. Using a pool noodle under your arms was great for buoyancy. Saw loads of fish. Searched for a turtle the whole time and in last half hour my husband spotted one hiding and we got to spend time watching. My highlight! Used an underwater camera for $50 which you can hire. Photos put on SD Card so yet to see them! Great morning

Hands down, the best snorkelling reef experience ever! The quick 15 minute fast boat is so super easy and fun. In no time you are on The Low Isles snorkelling away. The variety of fish, coral and turtles that we enjoyed on our trip was extraordinary. We took the 8.30am trip out. The water tends to be calmer in the morning as the winds can pick up in the afternoon. Going early also meant that we avoided all the big tourist group boats of 150-200 people arriving around 11am. This would not make for an enjoyable snorkelling experience as that many people would really stir up the water too. What I loved about Low Isles is that you don't jump off the back of a boat into deep ocean water. You are taken to the island and then you make your own way wading into the water. A fantastic option for people who want all the benefits of snorkelling but not the deep ocean. Coupled with our amazing staff, Jason and Olivia, it was an outstanding experience and one I would do again in a heartbeat.
